Battle Through the Heavens: The Beginning of the Dou Sheng Inheritance

Chapter 93 Refining the Heavenly Demon Puppet

Within the scroll, those fine, blood-red characters, exuding a bloodthirsty aura, were imprinted on the eyelids.

"The Heavenly Demon Puppet is neither a cultivation technique nor an ordinary fighting skill, but a puppetry technique passed down from ancient times. To forge a Heavenly Demon Puppet, three things are needed: a body, a soul, and a demonic core. The body is the tool, the soul is the catalyst, and the demonic core is the heart. Combined with various other materials, a demonic puppet is finally created. Demonic puppets are divided into three grades: Heaven, Earth, and Human. The difference in grade depends on the materials used in the forging and the fire used. They possess boundless power and are devoid of joy or sorrow, pain or injury. They are truly a weapon of slaughter..."

The old apothecary handed the scroll to Xiao Jue and said, "Take out the Yin-Yang Cauldron, along with other materials for crafting the Heavenly Demon Puppet. I will now craft the Heavenly Demon Puppet for you."

"Okay." Xiao Jue nodded and handed over the corpse and soul of the Earth Demon Old Ghost, along with the Yin-Yang Cauldron, to Yao Lao. Yao Lao also had the seventh-tier demon core he had just obtained.

At the same time, Xiao Jue took out a large amount of rare metals and gave them to Yao Lao, which could be melted down and refined into the corpse of the Earth Demon Old Ghost.

With the corpse and soul of a Seven-Star Dou Zong, plus a seventh-tier magic core, the materials for crafting the Heavenly Demon Puppet have been gathered. Once some rare metals are added, a puppet of at least a mid-tier Dou Zong level can be obtained.

In addition, the Heavenly Demon Puppet can be continuously refined by lightning to remove impurities, thereby improving its quality. The Heavenly Demon Puppet made from the corpse of the Earth Demon Old Ghost will definitely have the combat power of a Dou Zun in the future.

The old doctor threw the corpse of the old demon into the Yin-Yang Cauldron, and then burned it with the Bone Spirit Cold Fire.

The intense heat turned the corpse fiery red, and as it continued to be roasted, wisps of faint black smoke suddenly emerged from the corpse, only to be burned away by the pale white flames.

This black aura is a kind of corpse aura, faintly containing some subtle thoughts contained by the owner in life. If this black aura is not completely expelled, it will be difficult for the rest of the soul to completely merge with the body. However, the creation of the Heavenly Demon Puppet requires the complete fusion of the body, demon core, and soul. Therefore, this so-called corpse aura must be expelled.

The temperature of the flames was precisely controlled by the old doctor, enough to expel the residual corpse energy without burning the body.

It took Yao Lao a full two hours just to temper the body and expel all the corpse energy from the body.

As the last trace of corpse energy left the body, Yao Lao breathed a sigh of relief. He then flicked his finger, and two powerful gusts of wind shot out, finally creating fist-sized holes in the corpse's chest and forehead.

No blood flowed out of the cave, because any remaining blood had been evaporated during the tempering of the corpse energy. This was also a small step in the refining of the Heavenly Demon Puppet.

At this moment, the corpse of the old demon had shrunk several times in size, and the skin of his entire body was a cold grayish-white color. The skin clung tightly to the dry muscles, and his hands had become exceptionally thin and long, like sharp daggers.

According to the bamboo slip, the old doctor briefly tempered the corpse, then with a wave of his hand, the fiery red demon core floated out and finally fell into the small hole in the corpse's chest. After doing this, the old doctor indifferently took out a jade bottle, from which a powerful soul fluctuation faintly emanated.

"You damned bastards, I curse all your blood relatives to a terrible death!"

The moment the jade bottle appeared, a furious roar filled with resentment and venom emanated from it.

A cold smile appeared on Yao Lao's lips. He clenched his fist, and the jade bottle shattered, revealing a black soul inside. As soon as the soul appeared, it fled frantically without regard for anything else, but Yao Lao, who was prepared, grabbed it back.

With a chilling gaze, he glanced at the struggling soul of the old demon, then flames surged from his hand, engulfing it completely. A piercing scream and venomous curses immediately echoed throughout the warehouse.

The old doctor seemed oblivious to the venomous curses and continued to intensify the flames. With this intense heat, the consciousness hidden within the soul vanished in an instant with a faint sound.

After refining the consciousness of the old demon, Yao Lao glanced at the black mist in his palm, then gently tossed it away. The black mist transformed into a black dragon of energy, which swiftly burrowed into the hole on the corpse's forehead.

As the mindless soul entered, the old demon's tightly closed eyes suddenly opened, his pupils filled with pitch black.

Seeing this scene, the old doctor was not surprised. With a flick of his fingers, a series of metallic objects with strange luster floated in front of him.

Looking at the many strange metals floating in front of him, Yao Lao nodded slightly, clenched his hand, and the Bone Spirit Cold Flame surged from his palm like a pillar of fire. A suction force surged out, pulling the metals in.

Under the terrifyingly high temperature of the Bone Spirit Cold Fire, these strange metals gradually showed signs of melting, although they were still quite far from being completely melted.

At this moment, Yao Lao was multitasking, controlling the flames to temper the corpse at a constant temperature while simultaneously refining these strange metals at extremely high temperatures.

The high and low temperatures of the flames require extremely high fire control skills, but there's no need to worry about Yao Lao's fire control techniques.

Five hours later, the strange metals had been completely refined into a dark golden liquid, which slowly swirled in the flames, releasing a strange luster.

The metal forging was completely finished, but the perfect fit required for the body, soul, and magic core was still not achieved. However, Yao Lao was not impatient about this at all.

He knew that the more hasty he was, the more he would miss that fleeting moment of perfection. In that case, not only would his body be ruined, but his demonic core and even his soul would instantly become useless. This was the most difficult aspect of crafting a Heavenly Demon Puppet to control.

The old doctor maintained this calm and composed attitude, and another two hours passed.

In that instant, a hint of joy flashed in Yao Lao's eyes, and then he quickly formed a strange hand seal, and a slightly strange shout came from his mouth.

As the shout rang out, the corpse of the old demon suddenly trembled. The soul that had been swirling in its brain was as if it had been forcibly shattered by an invisible force, turning into countless tiny points of light that densely scattered across every part of its body.
