Chapter 125 The Documents Are in Hand
Chapter 125 The Documents Are in Hand
"Honey, are you awake? Could you get me a towel?" Olivia's voice came from the bathroom.
"Okay, I'm coming." Zhang Ailun looked around, took two bath towels from the cabinet, and walked into the bathroom shirtless.
Olivia turned around and was suddenly struck by the massive object, letting out a gasp, "Shit, how did you just come in like that! You're not wearing anything!!"
"I've already seen everything I needed to see yesterday, so what's there to be embarrassed about?" Zhang Ailun admired her perfect figure.
"Do you need me to scrub your back?"
"Why not?" Olivia hesitated for a moment before readily agreeing.
They did a quick morning exercise, which took about an hour, and then went downstairs together.
Olivia took bread slices from the refrigerator, toasted them in the bread machine, and spread butter sauce, ham, bacon, vegetables, and two cups of organic milk on them.
The breakfast problem is solved.
"Honey, I have plenty of time during the day, would you like to come to the gym with me?" Olivia asked ambiguously.
"I'm sorry, no, I have other things to do," Zhang Ailun declined.
"Okay! See you another day, darling. I'll miss you. Come visit sometime." After breakfast, the two hugged and kissed goodbye at the door like any normal couple, then parted ways amicably.
Zhang Ailun left the apartment complex and searched for Street Brothers Custom Shop, which was located near Seventh Street. He spent some time there and found it was already officially open for business.
Zhang Ailun went in and took a look. He pretended to be a nonchalant customer. Inside the modification shop, several black men in work clothes were chatting while holding a cup of coffee.
They quickly spotted the orange Chevrolet Cruze. There were other luxury vehicles nearby, none of which appeared to be priced below $50,000.
All four wheels of the Cruze had been removed, and several cardboard boxes were piled up next to it. Some brake discs, wrapped in plastic film and looking to be in poor condition, were inside.
"Hey buddy, what help do you need? If it's for car repairs, just park outside and wait for inspection. If you're just visiting, people other than Black people aren't welcome here, so get out of here!"
Just as Zhang Ailun was thinking about how to get his hands on the brake disc, his behavior attracted the attention of the staff. A tall, thin, dreadlocked black man walked over and chased him away.
He impatiently warned, "This place is specifically for special needs people. Do you have a car?"
"I have a Ford pickup truck," Zhang Ailun replied casually.
"What model is it, and how many years old is it?" Old Black Hair asked.
"It looks like an old car from the last century."
Old Hei was so angry he laughed and waved his hand. "Are you kidding me? We don't repair junk here. Maybe you should go to those suburban secondhand markets or garbage dumps to do business. You need to have at least a car worth more than $50,000 to even be able to get into this modification shop."
"Such a requirement? I've never even heard of it." Zhang Ailun laughed. "Are you discriminating against the poor?"
"That's because you're ignorant. Yes, I'm discriminating against you! Is there a problem? We don't serve poor people here, so get out of here! If you're here specifically to cause trouble, we don't mind teaching you a lesson."
As he spoke, several Black men approached, carrying wrenches, crowbars, and the like.
They outnumbered them, had weapons, and were on someone else's territory.
Even a powerful dragon can't suppress a local snake, so Zhang Ailun chose to simply reach into his coat.
"Hey!!!"
The black men were terrified. Seeing that familiar posture, they reflexively took a step back.
I'm questioning the meaning of life.
They immediately backed down, saying, "Buddy, we really didn't mean anything by it! What are you doing? Are you trying to rob us?"
"I'm just warning you, watch your language, nigger!!"
Zhang Ailun gave a warning, turned around and left the modification shop. He went into a convenience store across the street, bought a drink, and sat on a bench by the roadside to keep an eye on the modification shop.
Soon, several more motorcycles arrived and stopped on the roadside in front of the modification shop. A young black man wearing a red headscarf, a leather jacket, and trousers dangling down his backside led a few people into the modification shop.
Without saying a word, he immediately set his sights on the modified brake discs of the Chevrolet Cruze and began searching through them.
"Hey! Little Kiz, what are you doing? WTF! Are you trying to tear our store down? We're not short of stock right now, it's working hours, you better not come looking for trouble!"
The unusual behavior of the few black people quickly attracted the attention of the staff, and also affected the old black man who was doing maintenance work. They were immediately displeased and directly pushed him away forcefully.
We were just bullied by an Asian guy who took advantage of us, and we were so scared that we didn't dare to say a word. We were in a bad mood, and now you're doing this again?
This time, Lao Hei wasn't going to indulge him at all.
Little Kiz, feeling slighted after being pushed aside, immediately swore. The other Black men nearby were also angered, hurling insults, "Fxxk you! Try hitting me again!!"
But the usually arrogant and domineering Kiz, feeling guilty, didn't dare say a word. He just glared at the black man who was shoving him and said, "We left something here, so we need to take it!"
"There are only brake discs here! If you have a problem with that, let your boss Martin talk to us. What right do you, someone who's only been in this business for less than two years, have to cause trouble here?" the older Black employee rebuked him angrily.
I can't beat a yellow man with a gun, but I can beat you, a guy who was born of a father but not raised by a mother?
"You're Little Kiz, working for Martin? I saw you when we were discussing business last time."
The unusual behavior downstairs caught the shop owner's attention. The owner, a burly Black man with a gold chain around his neck, came down from upstairs with a Black woman in his arms.
He was upstairs doing something he liked with the black woman when his underling came over and told him that someone was causing trouble, and that the other party was Asian.
He originally wanted to come down and take a look, but the other person left quickly, so he didn't pay any attention to it and continued to sweetly duo queue with the black girl.
Based on his years of experience on the streets, Asians are generally honest and won't cause trouble. But when they become dishonest, you have to learn to be honest!
If the other person isn't mentally ill, then they're at least a tough guy on the street. They don't care what your skin color is; plenty of black guys have died mysteriously because they messed with the wrong person.
But now someone's causing trouble again? And it's a black guy?
Holy crap!!
Little Kiz recognized him at a glance, knowing that the other party was rich, powerful, and influential, someone a street thug like him could not afford to offend. However, he dared not admit that he had embezzled and hidden $5000 from the gang in the brake pads, otherwise he would definitely be in deep trouble.
He forced a smile and said, "I left something here and need to look for it."
"What? Cocoa? Cash? Diamonds?" The custom shop owner looked at him with a forced smile. "You come to my turf without even giving me a heads-up, and now you want to tamper with those brake pads? Did Martin give you this? Is he unhappy with the price from the last deal?"
"say!!"
Seeing the silent little Kitz, the shop owner got angry and went up to him, giving him a big slap that made him dizzy.
He yelled, "Fxxk! You damn bastard! Just because I do business with your gang doesn't mean you can come knocking on my door anytime! You're affecting my work and making money! Don't let me see you again! You better not do anything to my clients' vehicles!"
In his anger, he pulled out a handful of truths from his pocket.
Little Kiz and his friends got a beating for nothing, their faces bruised and swollen, and were kicked out of the house, slinking away on their bikes.
Seeing this, Zhang Ailun couldn't help but marvel at the orderly environment of the West Coast.
Even a gangster wouldn't dare mess with this modification shop; they must have some connections. It seems I won't be able to easily take that money from them either.
He turned around, flattened the beverage bottle, put it in his pocket, and left.
I hadn't walked two blocks when I saw those black men sitting by the roadside smoking tobacco, with their motorcycles parked next to them, looking gloomy.
"Fxxk! Little Kiz, why did you hide that money in the brake disc? Why didn't you tell us beforehand?" Several black men criticized him for secretly eating the money alone, and now that something had happened, he remembered them.
"I never expected those old brake discs to be sold." Little Kiz felt a chill run down his spine, clutching his head with both hands. "If our boss finds out, I'm definitely dead! Even if he doesn't find out, we'll never get that money back."
"Not necessarily. If we find the car afterward and steal the tires, we can get the money hidden inside," an older Black man suggested. "Right now, we just need to find out who owns the car, then plan our move. $5000 is enough for us to split. We..."
"Hey! What are you looking at?" Old Hei turned around and spotted Zhang Ailun passing by, warning him directly, "Get out of here right now, understand? We're a gang."
Zhang Ailun waved his hand, and the passerby, pretending not to understand anything, sped away from the street.
Listening to their "flawless" plan, Zhang Ailun just found it amusing.
Someone who can afford a car worth tens of thousands of dollars and still gets it serviced and maintained at a Black-owned tuning shop—even if they're not a rapper, they're definitely got some connections. A few thugs trying to mess with their tires? They might end up getting shot 888 times and dying in the street.
The payload and weight have suddenly increased by 10 pounds!
Officer Miguel is in charge of District 5. The ecological environment in District 7 is quite harsh, so it would be difficult for officers to cross districts to deal with them.
It's not going to be easy to deal with. Zhang Ailun figured he'd better not get involved in their mess and wait for the right opportunity to make his move, letting them fight amongst themselves for now.
Back at their base camp under the bridge in the Fifth District, Dominic had just gotten up, and the Beggars' Sect disciples were preparing to go out to do business. When they saw Zhang Ailun return, Dominic took out $1000 and gave it to him.
"Looks like you had a good day yesterday?"
"How did you know?" Zhang Ailun looked in the mirror of the RV and realized he looked a little pale. Olivia was just too addictive.
Dominic laughed and said, "Isn't dating a girl a pleasant experience?"
"That's because you haven't met a girl with really high needs. She's like a hungry wolf, she wants to devour you completely, leaving you with nothing!" Zhang Ailun glanced at Jennifer, who was still sleeping with her head covered. Clearly, she was a typical example.
I'm wondering if I need to exercise some self-control.
Looking at Dominic's pretty face, Zhang Ailun was a little puzzled. "You've got some money now, and you're so good-looking, how come no one tries to chat you up? And you don't even have a girlfriend?"
"Yes, but I rejected them all."
Dominic replied matter-of-factly, "I have no money, no job, and no way to provide them with a better life. Before you came, I couldn't even support myself, so how could I possibly burden others?"
"Being a kept man is a good choice. I heard that someone was willing to pay Leonardo DiCaprio $700 million to spend the night with him on an island. You're just as good-looking as him!" Zhang Ailun joked.
The flower language of steel wool is wealth and forbearance.
"I have a friend who just hooked up with a rich woman and dumped his girlfriend! This is a path to wealth that you should definitely try," Zhang Ailun chuckled.
"I'd rather pick up cans on the street," Dominic refused.
The two chatted for a while longer, and then Dominic, seeing that it was getting late, picked up his bag and went to work.
Zhang Ailun tallied up all his assets. Rolls of US dollars were neatly arranged, and the amount was considerable. He counted money until his hands cramped. He spent $2 on a drink. The total wealth of the Grand Master had reached $25031!
I paid $6300 for the document fee. Although I had already paid a $100 deposit, who knows if those people are good at math? They might make me pay the full amount first and then return the $100 deposit.
Zhang Ailun plans to take a drive after getting his marriage certificate. He's been here for so long, but hasn't had a proper road trip around the West Coast yet.
Jennifer woke up to the background music of the short video, rubbed her eyes, and asked, "Ellen, didn't you go to work?"
"I'm taking a day off today. I haven't done anything and I've already spent thousands of dollars. How can I possibly be in the mood to work?" Zhang Ailun replied casually, waving his hand as he reclined in the RV seat.
Simone pulled back the covers and curtains. Dressed in a revealing three-piece outfit, she went into the bathroom to wash up.
He jogged over to Zhang Ailun's side, lay down on the chair, and started scrolling through his phone.
She quickly came across a video, watched it carefully, and was somewhat surprised, "Shit! Simone's ex died on the street? This is truly wonderful news!"
"Why do you hate him so much?" Zhang Ailun asked, somewhat puzzled.
"That guy harassed me more than once while he was dating Simone, and even tried to take advantage of me for free. I've disliked him for a long time," Jennifer said disdainfully. "He already had a girlfriend, yet he still went around seducing other women. That's how men are."
Zhang Ailun didn't dare to speak.
But then I thought, I don't have a girlfriend, and it's all consensual, so what's there to be afraid of?
It was lunchtime when Jennifer went out under the pretext of having lunch.
Zhang Ailun also received a message notification from a Korean trafficker.
Central Harbour: Your entire family package has been processed. Please come to the street corner where you made your appointment to pick up your documents. Remember to bring enough cash, or you can use cryptocurrency to pay online now.
Zhang Ailun: I've been waiting for several days to process my gun license application, and there's still no progress. I haven't received any email replies either. Isn't their initial review process taking way too long?
Jin Zhonghuan: Americans are like that; they're so slow at everything they do. Unlike us East Asians, who are so quick and efficient. There are probably many people ahead of you in the queue waiting for approval. Wait two more days, and I'll have someone send a message to urge them on.
Zhang Ailun: Okay, I'll be right there.
Putting away his phone, Zhang Ailun hopped on his Trek bicycle, slung his shoulder bag over his shoulder, and headed to bus stop number 26 on Vima Street in the Seventh Block.
After crossing the traffic light, I parked my bicycle at the entrance of the alley and went inside. Soon I saw the people I had made an appointment with last time, the white high school student and the Mexican uncle.
The fake document vendor, wearing a mask and dressed in his familiar attire, waved enthusiastically when he saw Zhang Ailun arrive.
First, they handed a well-made driver's license to the high school student, saying, "You can use it to buy cigarettes and alcohol, and go into bars and clubs, but try not to show it off in front of the police officers because it's not real and there's no information about it in the database."
"OK!" The white high school student was already quite satisfied. He understood that you get what you pay for. He happily paid the remaining balance, pocketed his ID, and left.
The middle-aged Mexican man paid the final payment using cryptocurrency and received his "family bucket" (a set of documents including a birth certificate, legal documents, driver's license, passport, social security ID, and gun purchase license).
He apparently bought $5000 in counterfeit bills before, and it seems like he could use them without any problems, otherwise he would have been arrested long ago.
Zhang Ailun also handed the money to the fake document dealer, who gave him the document, went through the banknotes, counted the amount, and returned the $100 deposit.
"I've already had someone urge them to expedite the initial review of your gun permit application; you should receive news in the next few days," the fake permit dealer said.
"I hope so." Zhang Ailun checked the documents, found no problems, and put them away with satisfaction. "Pleasure doing business with you."
"Pleasant to do business with you! Feel free to come back if you need anything in the future." The fake document dealer shook hands with him. "If you're really short on cash, buying counterfeit money is a good option. That Mexican guy bought 5000 counterfeit bills from my friend before, and he spent them all quickly. He then bought another $20,000 in counterfeit bills!"
"I'll consider it." Zhang Ailun had no intention of touching this thing at all.
We said goodbye, went our separate ways, and he rode away on his bicycle as soon as he left the alley.
Deposits -$6200.
19831 remain.
They spend money like water.
