Chapter 134 Punk Girl
Chapter 134 Punk Girl
Zhang Ailun praised their efficiency again, saying that the $50,000 was practically free, even though the Grand Master did indeed make money by taking advantage of others every time.
He then sent a message to Dominic, informing him of some of the transactions he and Cooper had made.
Dominic was somewhat interested in this, as he did indeed want to buy a bicycle, and if the price was right and there was no tax, he would certainly be happy to go shopping.
Dominic: My friend is back too. Luckily, she didn't miss the day to collect her relief funds. When are you planning to go back to camp? I can introduce her to you then.
Zhang Ailun: I went back after dinner. I still have a job to do tonight.
Dominic: OK.
Zhang Ailun got dressed and went downstairs, only to find that Reina had already prepared dinner.
Seeing that he had already tidied his clothes, Reina asked with a hint of doubt, "Aren't you staying here tonight?"
"I still have some things to take care of. It just so happens that Dominic's friend is being released from prison today, and I need to go back and visit him," Zhang Ailun said tactfully.
"Dominic's friend? That little girl?" Rena asked, somewhat surprised. "She's out of prison?"
"That's right, it seems you know her. Have you ever learned anything about her?" Zhang Ailun asked.
"She's a rather interesting girl," Reina commented tactfully. "She used to be a mental patient; there's a doctor's certificate for that."
"……"ah?
Hearing her say that, Zhang Ailun didn't ask any more questions.
Sitting at the dining table, looking at the dazzling array of dishes, Zhang Ailun didn't feel very hungry. He teased, "Aren't you full yet? I've already had enough sugar from the honey."
I was practically stuffed after eating that jar of honey.
Reina rolled her eyes, placed the plate on the table, and scoffed, "How could such a small amount of food possibly fill your stomach? You're not planning to abandon me to go on a date with one of your little lovers tonight, are you?"
"How is that possible! What do I have to do for you to believe that I really have no energy left!" Zhang Ailun couldn't help but complain, did he really think the Grand Master was an iron man?
"Given your performance today, I'm still not entirely reassured." Reina leaned closer, one hand on her shoulder, and said with a smile, "At least, I need to be sure you really have no fighting ability whatsoever!"
No, you really don't want me to leave the shelter alive!
Don't come any closer.
Another half hour passed. The Grand Master truly had no more drops left.
It took Zhang Ailun a while to recover some strength. He quickly finished his dinner, said goodbye to Reina who was rinsing her mouth and washing her face, and then left the shelter, walking back to the bridge-hole base camp.
As soon as he returned to the campsite, he saw his friends gathered together, lighting a campfire and playing music. Curious, Zhang Ailun walked over and saw that besides familiar faces, there was also a girl playing guitar, singing, and dancing in the crowd.
The other person had healthy, tanned skin, smoky makeup, and a tall, hot figure, standing at about 1.7 meters.
She wore fingerless arm sleeves, a metal chain around her neck, a black sleeveless tank top, a loose red and white checkered skirt, a unique studded leather jacket, black fishnet stockings, and Doc Martens boots.
Her hair was loose and curly, with only the edges and bangs dyed a vibrant burgundy. She had a lip piercing, earrings, and tattoos on her arms and thighs.
What a punk street style hottie!
But he doesn't look like a patient.
Her eyes were still light gray, and when she saw Zhang Ailun, she grinned and made a Spider-Man gesture.
Zhang Ailun's lips twitched.
It turned out to be the case.
"Hey! Allen! Come here! Let me introduce you to my good friend, Jesse." Dominic noticed Allen and waved to him happily.
Zhang Ailun walked over, pulled up a chair, and sat down. Looking at the punk girl who was playing and singing, he asked, "Is she the girl you were talking about? Your friend? What does that gesture mean? A failed man?"
"Well, that's just how she is. Don't mind her. She's just a straightforward person, and her way of expressing herself is a little different from normal people. She's not a bad person at heart. You'll know once you get to know her."
I understand, she's a rather eccentric girl.
Just look at David and Gates next door; the little girl's eyes are full of adoration, she's being led astray. West Coast teenagers all love this kind of crazy literature.
Zhang Ailun didn't ask any more questions, but just listened quietly to the girl's music, the arrangement and language of which he had never heard before.
After finishing the song, Jessie happily high-fived everyone around her. She jogged around a lap, and everyone joined in.
The other person approached Zhang Ailun, and just as Zhang Ailun was about to give her a high-five, she suddenly withdrew her hand, pointed at him, and said, "Dude, although this is our first meeting, I've heard your story! I have to say, what you did was really cool!"
"Thank you for the compliment," Zhang Ailun replied. "You sang well too, but it didn't sound like English?"
"Hahaha, buddy, what nonsense are you talking about? You're saying I sing well, you might as well say I also have a nine-inch penis."
"..."
You have no sense of language.
Watching the other person run over to Lori, put their arm around his shoulder, and extend their hand, they said, "Hey bro, shouldn't you give the most passionate rising star in the whole camp a little encouragement?"
"I just want to slap you so hard you can't be pried off the wall!"
Xiao Luo, expressionless but unusually angry, said, "If you come outside my house again tonight singing 'Sunshine, Rainbow, Little White Horse,' I promise I'll do it!"
What?! Sunshine, rainbow, little white horse? Is this something a human could do? Zhang Ailun was completely dumbfounded.
You might as well just point at that black guy's nose and say he's good at picking cotton, eating watermelon, and munching on fried chicken.
"Okay." The girl smiled and tactfully left.
"I really can't understand why she wasn't beaten to death." Zhang Ailun saw her flirting with Jason, the son of the Lone Star Republic, and Fitz, a craftsman whose family had been single-line cotton pickers for three generations.
He kept referring to the farmer and the black woman, trying to sow discord. Jason immediately turned red with embarrassment.
"She rarely acts like this in front of us. Could it be that being locked up for a few days has caused her to develop intermittent bipolar disorder? Has her condition worsened?"
Dominic explained, "People who have just come out of there are generally emotionally unstable."
"She's also racist," Jennifer said.
"She discriminates against Asians?" Zhang Ailun hesitated.
"She discriminates against living people," Dominic added.
"..."
Dominic immediately reassured her, "But you shouldn't be within the scope of her discrimination."
"So, why?" Zhang Ailun was even more confused. Am I not a living person?
"Because she thinks the limit for a normal human is 20 centimeters or less. Anything larger than that is not human, but she also really wants to have a nine-inch one to prove she's not human, so cool!" Jennifer said, barely suppressing a laugh.
"Well, I really have to thank her." Zhang Ailun's lips twitched. What West Coast Jinx? I can't even imagine that.
She then looked at Dominic and said irritably, "What are you laughing at? Dominic, you two are such good friends, you're probably one of the few people besides me who she would find hard to discriminate against, right?"
Dominic understood the implication and immediately retorted, "Hey! I'm a man too!!"
Zhang Ailun gave a forced smile and pinched his thigh. "Look, your thigh isn't even as thick as my arm. You should just stay a quiet, handsome young man."
Dominic sat there with a dark expression.
Jesse, who was standing nearby, ran over and put her arm around his shoulder. "Hey, sis, what's wrong? Did someone upset you? You can tell me if there's a problem! I'll go and clean it up for you."
Dominic was speechless. "Thank you, I feel much better now."
"Ha ha ha ha."
Zhang Ailun was in a good mood.
"Dude, your laughter is hilarious, like a wolverine in heat. Awooo!" The girl laughed and then imitated the howling a few times.
"..."
Laugh, why aren't you laughing anymore?
This punk crazy girl is really interesting.
Zhang Ailun couldn't help but start grinding his teeth.
Soon Sieg drove back, got out of the car, greeted the people present, and handed the gold wrapped in plastic to Zhang Ailun.
Zhang Ailun checked the gold beans, then collected them and hid them in the RV, planning to sell them after they were all refined.
"Sieg, you're back just in time. Let's go out and take care of something else." Zhang Ailun grabbed the car keys and headed straight for the pickup truck.
"It's so late already, and street gangs are active right now. What business do you need to go out to run? It's not very safe outside, is it?" Sig asked, puzzled.
"If they encounter me on the street, they're the ones in danger!"
Zhang Ailun said seriously, "You have a gun, what are you afraid of? Those little bastards are just bluffing at most; they wouldn't actually fire a shot. Besides, we're not going to cause trouble. If we can't afford to mess with the big gangsters, can't we just avoid them?"
"Who said I'm afraid?" Sieg said sternly. "I braved a hail of bullets on the battlefield, driving the enemy into a panic. Why would I be afraid of some street thugs?"
"Are you alright?" Zhang Ailun asked, puzzled as to why this guy was being so stubborn and self-sacrificing today.
It's not time for you to get smashed over the head with a bottle anymore.
Jesse ran over, his face full of admiration, and said, "Hey! Are you a soldier?"
Sig lowered his voice. "Yes, that's right. I am a soldier. Girl, are you new here?"
"..."
Seeing Sieg suddenly put on an act, Zhang Ailun immediately realized that this guy had feelings for Jesse. Did he like this punk-chick type?
She glanced at him with pity; you had no idea what she would say next.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Jesse asked.
"I haven't found a girl yet...???" Sig looked completely bewildered. "Excuse me, what did you say?"
"Have you ever been taken advantage of? You look pretty robust; aren't there a lot of guys in the military who like your type?"
"..." Damn, you're insane!
Sigman was completely numb.
He walked over, still seething with anger, got into the car, slammed the door shut, and sat in the driver's seat. He thought for a long time but still couldn't figure out why.
I just can't understand it. "What's wrong with this girl?"
Zhang Ailun leaned back in his chair, leisurely chewing gum. "Calm down. She just got out of prison, and she's still a bit excited. You have to understand her."
"Why don't you try to understand her! She insulted me! I'm a real man!" Sieg cursed.
"She even said my laughter sounded like a wolverine in heat, but I didn't argue with her too much."
Zhang Ailun gave a forced smile, tossed him the car keys, and urged, "Drive! To the Kakin Bridge on Nawei Street."
"What are you going there for?"
"Go find Quesanti's secret shop and do some small business."
"Quisanti? Another black guy?" Sig felt confused, but still started the car.
Zhang Ailun also took out his phone to explain the job to him: "There's a silver-gray Chevrolet van that sells a batch of human organs over there at night. Dr. Han, who does cosmetic surgery, will buy some things through this van. The cheapest stuff that van carries is probably enough for us to collect jars for a year."
"This is a small business? We should report this to Officer Miguel!" Sig was shocked. "Organ trafficking is a serious crime!!"
"What you're saying is all outdated. These days, those who get caught and sentenced are basically just scapegoats. There's a lot more to this than meets the eye; maybe even politicians, celebrities, and the wealthy are involved," Zhang Ailun said. "You can consult Officer Miguel first and see what he says."
They happened to be at a traffic light intersection, and Sig stopped the car and sent a message to Officer Mig.
I received a reply from the other party very quickly.
Miguel: The van's license plate belongs to a charity in the city center. It has legal documents and is engaged in skin banking business that has been approved by the government. I am not qualified to ask about more details. I suggest you do not get involved in this matter.
Sieg took a deep breath. "Since when has legal business been conducted in the dead of night, around midnight, by sneaking around in a van?"
"Didn't you encounter anything like this when you were in the military? Or were you on any escort missions?" Zhang Ailun asked curiously.
"How could that be! The most common assignments in the military are for smuggling weapons."
After saying that, Sieg coughed lightly: "I can't go into the specifics, but you just need to know that a Stinger missile or a box of munitions is worth more than an organ. In the military, a bag of screws is worth as much as a kidney."
"So you didn't care about such petty gains." Zhang Ailun nodded.
The United States spends nearly $9000 billion on its military every year, but the actual amount deployed to military operations is probably less than a third of that. This is a forbidden zone that outsiders cannot touch. Every time an investigator is sent there, the plane explodes halfway through its flight.
Isn't that a coincidence? Death has arrived!
They either die of a sudden heart attack halfway through the journey, or they're gone just after takeoff.
As the red light turned green, Sig asked, "Are we still going? Mig said we can't get involved in this kind of thing."
"He works within the system, so there are some things he can't say too much about. We are outside the system, so we don't need to follow any rules or be afraid of those wolves and tigers."
Zhang Ailun said, "I just wanted to consult with that Dr. Han about how much it would cost to replace a part. I didn't intend to provoke the black driver. Who knows if he had a Vector or an M4 rifle in his car, or maybe some C4 explosives, so I could easily clean up any traces."
"OK." Sig started the car, stepped on the gas, and sped off, leaving the street.
They soon arrived at their destination. Sieg parked the vehicle on the side of the road, turned off the engine, and disappeared into the darkness.
Zhang Ailun glanced at the time; there was still some time before midnight. He simply reclined his chair, greeted Sieg for not forgetting to wake him, put on his sunglasses, and began to doze off.
About half an hour passed in a daze, and a van drove up from the street corner and stopped on the side of the Kakin Bridge.
Sig, who was keeping watch, noticed its arrival and immediately woke Zhang Ailun, who was resting with his eyes closed. "Is that the bread truck?"
Zhang Ailun straightened the seat and glanced at the license plate: LS-96N-12. The paint was silver-gray, and the logo was that of a Chevrolet EXPRESS model.
"This is the car."
Zhang Ailun didn't rush to get out of the car. Who knew if there were any heavy weapons on board? Their target wasn't the black man in the car, so there was no need to risk getting themselves into trouble.
He chewed a piece of mint-flavored gum to refresh himself, kept a close watch, and remained seated in the car with Sieg for a while longer.
A few minutes later, a figure wearing a mask and a black wide-brimmed hat appeared on the street, looking rather furtive.
Looking around, he approached the car and knocked on the window. The person in the Chevrolet didn't get out, but simply rolled down the passenger window and extended a hand from the darkened window. Dr. Han immediately handed over the oil-paper bag he was carrying.
