Chapter 197 Don't Mess with the Texans

"How did you meet those Black customers? Did they order sporting goods online?" Zhang Ailun asked the other party while waiting.

"No. This commission was just a personal project I found someone to handle. I didn't actually open or even see what those things were. The other party contacted us online, knowing that we frequently use air freight, and was willing to give us a generous fee for shipping."

Sadie said, "I hired you here just to be on the safe side. After all, you have CCW credentials, which allow you to legally carry guns, and you also have heavy firepower."

It turned out to be the case.

Zhang Ailun understood the situation and told Qiao Sen to prepare, but this time there would be no bulletproof car to ride in.

Before long, several pickup trucks arrived at the town's airport and parked outside. Several young people with brightly colored hair got out, and the lead vehicle was a heavily modified, gold Bentley.

It exudes an air of nouveau riche wealth, with not a trace of the understated luxury and sophistication expected of a VIP car.

The leader got out of the car. He was wearing a cowboy hat and sunglasses. He was tall and thin. He glanced at the people in the airport and quickly recognized the only Asian among them.

He greeted him cheerfully, "Hey! Mr. Kim? I'm Jason's friend Jimmy!"

"Hello, Jimmy, I'm Juan King. I'm sorry to trouble you with such a small thing." Zhang Ailun walked over with a smile and greeted him.

"It's okay, buddy, it's no big deal! I'll definitely do a good job on what Jason asked me to do. I heard you guys are in the arms business in Los Angeles? Do you have any way to get me a few rocket launchers? Heavy weapons or something?" Jimmy said half-jokingly.

"You didn't bring any guns?" Zhang Ailun asked in confusion.

"Hey buddy, of course we brought guns. While Texas law allows everyone to legally own a gun, and you can carry one in the street for self-defense without an LTC license, you can't just pull out a gun and shoot people on the street. Other people have guns too, and you can't provoke them. The line on self-defense is blurry; it can easily become intentional homicide. What I mean is, the streets here are pretty chaotic, with gunfire everywhere at night. I'm actually thinking of buying a body armor set to protect myself. Do you know anything about that?"

Jimmy glanced enviously at Zhang Ailun's full gear, then touched the bulletproof vest. It had at least three layers of ceramic plates inside! Definitely level three armor!

How many kilograms must that weigh? Yet it doesn't look like you're wearing it at all, so muscular!

With this combo, even if someone's pistol is worn out face-to-face, they can't hurt him, but he can take them down with a single burst of fire! Their firepower is on a completely different level.

"If you help me successfully complete this job, I can certainly consider giving you a set of security equipment."

Zhang Ailun said succinctly, "However, I'm not responsible for delivery. You'll have to find someone to pick up the goods in Los Angeles yourselves."

"Aren't you guys delivering goods right now? Doing business with black people, and it's some sporting goods, buddy, you don't know what's in there, do you?" Jimmy chuckled.

"I honestly don't know. After all, my job is just to escort and protect my employers." Zhang Ailun said without changing his expression. What does this have to do with me? If there's anything, I'll go to Sadie and her Razer biker gang. He's just an outsourced security guard.

"Okay. Then I should be able to hire your partner to help me with deliveries, right? Hey! Beautiful lady, hello there! My name is Jimmy, what's yours?" Jimmy greeted Sadie with a grin.

"Hello, Jimmy, I'm Sadie, the owner of Razer Art. If you'd like to hire us for an air freight project, you can simply place an order online. We charge by distance and weight, and once we agree on the price, everything will be fine."

Sadie shook hands with him, then turned to Zhang Ailun, "When can we leave?"

"Right now!" Jimmy quickly replied.

He then yelled at the underlings who were filming the private jet with their phones, "Hey! You guys, hurry up and help unload the cargo! What are you doing? You have absolutely no sense of propriety! How are we supposed to make money like this?"

Upon hearing this, several thugs with brightly colored hair quickly put away their phones and went over to help move the goods.

Jimmy turned around and his expression changed in a flash. He grinned and beckoned Zhang Ailun and the others to get in the car, "Bosses, come on in!"

"Jimmy, what do you mainly do here besides selling sorghum seeds?"

Zhang Ailun and Sadie sat in the back seat of the Bentley. The interior decoration was quite nice, but it looked a bit old, probably a car from around 08.

However, this was his first time riding in a Bentley, and he did ask a question.

"Didn't Jason tell you?" Jimmy asked, somewhat surprised.

"No." Zhang Ailun shook his head.

"As you can see. Besides selling sorghum seeds, we also do some car rental services. We run a small car rental shop, and this Bentley was acquired by our people from out of town... we bought it!"

Jimmy almost let slip, then quickly said, "We run a legal business, the profits aren't high, and the scale isn't big, nothing like yours. Business has been getting worse and worse these past few years, and we're often harassed by random people. We almost went bankrupt, but thankfully Jason pulled me out of the woods and got me to partner with him in the sorghum seed business. I have to say, making big money with zero investment—that's a brilliant idea!"

"Can sorghum seeds really be sold for money?"

Sadie was a little confused.

"We adulterated sorghum seeds and sold them as castor seeds, which of course made a lot of money," Jimmy said.

"However, the risks are also very high, and it's easy to offend people. But jobs that don't offend people don't make money. Even begging or picking up trash on the street can lead to fights. Unless you do nothing and just want to be a useless person."

Jimmy replied, "But even if you do nothing, people will still bully you. So either do nothing, or do something bigger and more ruthless!"

Sadie glanced at Zhang Ailun and realized that the leader's friend was more profound than she had imagined.

Soon, the people outside loaded the art-themed human figure molds and sporting goods onto the truck. Jimmy also inquired about the delivery address.

Sadie gave him the delivery address for the artwork and sent Jimmy the address for the sports equipment to be delivered to the Black gym.

"Okay, have your people get in my car and deliver those legitimate artworks to the city. We'll drive to a gym in the suburbs to finish the job."

Jimmy gave his underlings instructions, started the Bentley, turned it around, and sped away from the airport.

Johnson sat in a pickup truck in the back, also responsible for escorting the sports equipment shipments.

The private plane is temporarily parked on the tarmac, with a pilot staying there to watch over it.

Jimmy drove to a small town, parked his car on the side of the road, took out his phone to contact his friend, and soon saw a young man carrying two AKs walk over, knock on the window, and put the guns into the passenger seat.

"Give them back to me when you're done. If this causes any deaths, you'd better dispose of them yourself."

"Don't worry. When have I ever caused you any trouble?" Jimmy said, waving his hand before driving away from the town.

Zhang Ailun looked at the two AKs in the passenger seat, which didn't even have any serial numbers on them. Through the car window, he also saw that the two young men had pistols tucked into their waistbands. He asked in surprise, "Is this place really that chaotic?"

"The city is alright during the day, but if we go to remote places or suburbs at night, I can't guarantee what will happen." Jimmy was used to this, after all, this is Texas, the birthplace of the Western cowboys and rednecks.

Just as Florida doesn't support idlers, Texas has a thriving livestock industry. Guess why there are fewer Black people in Texas compared to other states?

There are relatively fewer Black people in deep red states. Most Black people's activities are confined to blue states.

Going back a century, there was shooting almost every day in Texas, either shooting or on horseback shooting. Who could stand that?

Even buying something for free here requires immense courage; Black people who don't follow the rules simply can't survive.

Zhang Ailun couldn't help but sigh that the difficulty of survival here was on a completely different level from that in Los Angeles, California. Just one law that allowed people to carry guns on the street gave everyone the green light.

No need to show your fingerprints, no need to check your identification, no need to have precise aim—anyone can buy a gun and go out on the street. The gun shops here are doing really good business!

Jimmy quickly drove into the suburbs and arrived at the meeting place, parking in front of a gym-themed noodle shop. The location wasn't in the city center, but there were buildings around, and the foot traffic wasn't heavy; it was a semi-developed area.

Sadie dialed the contact number, and a thick-toned voice answered, "Hey, this is Jim's Gym, what's up?"

"Hello, I'm from Razer. Here's your package, which contains fitness equipment."

After Sadie finished speaking, the black man on the other end of the phone was silent for a few seconds, seemingly confirming with others, before quickly replying, "What kind of car are you driving? Is that Bentley outside yours? Okay, someone will be on a motorcycle. You take the goods, follow him closely, and go to the alley to make the transaction."

After speaking, I hung up.

Sadie shrugged and looked at Zhang Ailun. "It seems this shipment is even more unreliable than I thought."

"If you choose to transport your artwork honestly, there's no need to get involved in this kind of business. It's not profitable, and the risks are huge. Coming here personally to escort the goods is a mistake," Zhang Ailun said.

"I hired you, didn't I? You're professionals." Sadie smiled. "I made quite a bit from this deal, tens of thousands of dollars!"

"Bullets don't have eyes." Zhang Ailun pondered, "Just hiring us to escort the goods cost us $80,000. How much more can you possibly earn?"

So, this time you're losing money but gaining publicity, huh? Is this how you do business?

Soon, a black man came out of the gym. He looked around a few times, got on his motorcycle, and drove into a side street.

Seeing this, Jimmy followed, and also told the pickup truck carrying the goods behind to follow.

The motorcycle led the way, quickly winding its way to an open-air parking lot. It drove in, and Jimmy followed. Inside, they saw several young men playing basketball. There were also some abandoned, old vehicles parked around.

The group of leaders were also wearing sportswear, and when they were doing a fadeaway jump shot, their waists were bulging with crooked handles.

After seeing the Bentley and pickup truck parked in the parking lot, he exchanged a few words with the black man on the motorcycle, then quickly came over to greet them, "Hey guys, Jim's order is in your truck, right?"

Jimmy rolled down the car window and glanced at them, casually gripping the AK in his hand. He rested one hand on the window, lit a cigarette, squinted, and said smugly, "That's right."

Seeing the large-caliber weapon in his hand, Old Hei wasn't too arrogant anymore, and simply asked, "Can we unload the cargo now?"

"Wait a minute! Have they paid yet?" Jimmy turned around and asked Sadie.

"not yet."

Sadie replied, "They only paid a deposit for this shipment; they still need to pay me the remaining $7."

"Hey! You pay first, then we can let you unload the goods," Jimmy said immediately to the black men.

"Fxxk. Didn't Jim give you any money?" the old black man said, somewhat annoyed.

"No, pay up now!" Jimmy said irritably, showing no mercy to these black men.

We're all just ordinary people, and we all have the truth. My voice is even louder than yours, so why should I talk to you politely? Do you really think rednecks are easy to mess with?

After a brief discussion, the group of black men quickly sent someone to the warehouse to retrieve the money.

Not long after, an old black man returned carrying a briefcase and tossed it onto the hood of the car. "Get out and check it out. We absolutely did not mean to withhold payment."

Jimmy immediately got out of the car, while Zhang Ailun told Sadie to wait in the car and to keep the fully loaded AK for self-defense. He then got out of the car with his own gun.

Johnson and Jimmy's henchmen, who were sitting in the pickup truck behind, didn't get out of the car, but immediately set up their guns.

Upon seeing this formation, with the other side fully armed, the group of black men instantly lost any will to resist and quickly opened their briefcases.

Jimmy quickly counted the money and found that not a single cent was missing. He then handed the briefcase to Sadie, nodded in satisfaction, and said, "It was a pleasure doing business with you guys. I'm Jimmy from East Street in the city. You can come to me if you need anything in the future."

"Now can we go collect the goods?" Old Hei urged them to hurry up and deliver the goods after he had received the money.

"Come with me."

Jimmy simply waved and led him to the pickup truck, where they unloaded the heavy boxes. The black men couldn't wait to open the beautifully packaged sports equipment.

Zhang Ailun also went over to take a look. Well, it was supposed to be sports equipment, but it was full of gun parts, all disassembled parts, including the gun body, magazines, bipods, various parts, muzzle compensators, and scopes, but no bullets. After all, you can buy bullets at any store.

Old Black was ecstatic, skillfully assembling the parts. Soon, a gun was assembled—a Robard RC-50 anti-materiel rifle. "Fxxk! This time we don't have to worry about getting the short end of the stick when fighting Will and his buddies for territory!"

Old Hei picked up the gun and suddenly had a wicked idea.

Seeing that his side had a large number of people, while Jimmy's side only had a maximum of four combat units.

He immediately said, "Brother, I don't think this price is reasonable. These guns might not be very good. You need to refund us at least $10,000."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Ailun felt it made sense, and having been prepared, he also wanted to shoot the black man as a deterrent!

However, before the leader could fire, Jimmy, without saying a word, pulled the trigger directly at Old Black's feet.

Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat!!

"Fxxk you! You nigger! If you say another word, I'll rip your balls off and feed them to the dogs!!"

Old Hei felt the ground was scalding hot, and he scrambled to his feet, cowering in a corner, his face pale with fear. He couldn't help but shout, "Oh! Shit! They just opened fire! These bastards!! Okay! I won't ask for your money back! Stop! Stop right now!!"

"You think you can just tell me to stop and I'll stop? Who do you think you are?" Jimmy grabbed a grenade from the leader's body, pulled the pin, and yelled, "Say one more word, and I'll blow you all to bits!!"

"Okay, okay! You guys go first!! The price is very reasonable!" Old Hei was terrified and dared not protest anymore. He just wanted to get rid of these plagues.

Jimmy, clutching his AK, cursed, "These black guys love freebies. This is Texas! Don't mess with Texans! Okay? You foreign African scum."

The two got into the car, started the engine, turned the steering wheel, and drove away from the parking lot.

Jimmy counted down from three, threw the grenade over the wall, and stepped on the gas.

Zhang Ailun: ...?

The visibly shaken black men in the parking lot exchanged bewildered glances. The leader cursed him for being stupid, "Their equipment is so much better—grenades, helmets, AKs! How dare you threaten them? Do you have a brain? Didn't you see they have body armor? We only have 9mm pistols. Are you looking to die?"

"I never expected him to fire directly..."

"Don't mess with the arms dealers, okay? Their arsenal could blow your entire family's ashes to smithereens!"

Old Hei cursed and swore, "I don't want to be lying at home tonight and get shot to pieces by an armed helicopter! Or get blown up by a missile that comes out of nowhere."

The voice just fell.

With a thud, a grenade landed on the ground.

"Oh! Shit!!" Old Black's face turned pale after he saw it clearly. He hurriedly got up, but it was too late.

boom!!!!
