Chapter 263 The King

As evening approached, after finishing dinner, Zhang Ailun rested for a while and then called out to his Beggars' Sect disciples to go out and run errands.

A few people stayed behind to continue their guard duty at the camp, while the others split into two groups and headed to Little Rock and the shady clinic, respectively.

The leader personally led a group of people to the leaf greenhouse in Motobang.

After half an hour, we arrived at our nearby destination. We turned into a small alley and parked the car. This was a factory area, and at night there were hardly any people to be seen. There was also graffiti of white doves on the walls, as if they were afraid that others would not know that this was their territory.

The lights were on at the factory gate across the street, where two pickup trucks were parked. Several people got out, entered a password on the warehouse door, pushed it open, and came out shortly afterward carrying several boxes.

Two more people wearing aprons, naked, and wearing gas masks followed them out, gesturing and pointing at them.

Since they were too far away to hear what they were saying, Zhang Ailun simply took out an audio receiver, put on a headset, and turned up the volume. After a few crackling sounds, the eavesdropping became exceptionally clear.

"Be gentle, these are freshly made leaves. Fxxk, it's so hot inside. After get off work, I'm definitely going to find a pheasant to relax."

"After this batch of goods is sold, we'll have at least $20 in revenue. There's also a batch of leaves that will ripen in a couple of days. We'll then resell them to an informant at the police station in the next town. They'll earn credits, and we'll earn a little more."

Two men, naked, were puffing away at the entrance. The Motorbang employee in charge of operations, laboriously unloading goods, loaded everything onto the truck, and said, "Doctor, if there's nothing else, we'll be leaving now."

"Get out of here, you idiot! I spend half of my 24 hours in this crappy factory. You'd better find me a few prostitutes to wash and wait for me in the RV before I go to work tomorrow, so I can relax a bit during my work breaks." The two of them cursed and swore.

Motorola's underlings didn't care at all; they were already used to it. After all, the other party really had that kind of ability.

"Our boss also told us to ask you when that batch of ice will be ready?"

"We're still researching new varieties, and they'll be ready in a couple of days. What's the rush? Didn't the batch you sold to Los Angeles last time get swept up by a bunch of thieves? You'd better sell in smaller bars or on the streets from now on," the doctor scoffed.

"You can't get a high price in smaller towns," the Motorbike employee said, sounding troubled.

"Making a few more trips won't kill you! You clearly have no business sense! Get out of my sight right now, we need to pack up and go home." Dr. Tom grumbled.

The young man from Motorbike got into his car dejectedly and drove away from the street.

Seeing that the Motorbike gang's underlings had left, Zhang Ailun took out his tools, including a silenced gun specifically designed for firing tranquilizer darts, and handed it to a member of the Beggars' Sect.

"Go, take care of those two."

"Leave it to me." The Beggar Clan disciple got out of the car, climbed over the wall, and tiptoed to the roof. He set up his silenced rifle, looked at the two people at the door through the 4x scope, adjusted the scope, and pulled the trigger.

With two quick snaps, the anesthetic needle was ejected.

Dr. Tom turned to go inside when he was suddenly struck on the buttocks, letting out a yelp of pain and immediately collapsing to the ground, clutching his backside. "Ouch! My butt!!"

Dr. Snoopy, standing nearby, was taken aback. "What's wrong with you?"

Just as he was about to check on him, another tranquilizer dart was fired, hitting him squarely in the neck. He yelled and collapsed to the ground, clutching his neck.

Within seconds, both of them fainted. They lay motionless on the ground, utterly silent.

It must be said that Dr. Jerry's chemical concoctions are indeed very effective!

Seeing that the two had stopped moving, Zhang Ailun simply led his men out of the car and arrived at the factory gate. After glancing at the two naked men, he ordered the Beggars' Sect disciples to tie them up and carry them into the car.

Pushing open the door and stepping into the planter's room, a wave of heat hit me; the temperature was extremely high, and I instantly felt like I was about to sweat.

Looking around, the factory floor was filled with pots of lush, green leaves wrapped in plastic film. On the table were some dried leaves, almost dry, ready to be sold in stores or on the street for a few hundred dollars a bag.

The Beggars' Sect disciples searched the area with guns, but found virtually nothing except for leaves and a few boxes of semi-finished ice soaking in liquid.

He walked over and reported, "Boss, besides the people who just left, all we have here are these leaves and ice. There are also two cell phones. What should we do with all this?"

Zhang Ailun took the phone, glanced at it, and saw that the contact list was full of prostitutes.

He wasn't interested in the people from White Dove Motorbike either; without the two people who helped plant leaves and make ice, they would have to disperse on their own in a couple of days.

The lush leaves growing in the greenhouse, the vibrant life force of all things competing for growth right before my eyes, I immediately waved my hand, "Burn it."

Keeping this thing around is just asking for trouble.

"Okay."

The Beggars' Sect disciples immediately went to the warehouse, fetched a bucket of gasoline, poured it on the leaves and various tools, cut off the power supply to the factory, and set it on fire.

A raging fire broke out.

Once outside, Zhang Ailun got into the car and took out his phone to ask how the other two groups were doing.

Beggar Clan member: We've arrived at this shady clinic in the suburbs and already tied the man up in the car. This guy is attacking a female customer; he's already drugged her and her pants are off. Luckily, we arrived in time.

Zhang Ailun: Give him a couple of punches to vent his anger!

Beggar Clan disciple: Boss, we can't hit him anymore, he'll die if we keep hitting him, there's nowhere left to attack him.

A photo was sent.

A middle-aged white man, his face bruised and swollen, his hair soaking wet, blood gushing out. His white coat was stained red. He was barely breathing.

Zhang Ailun: Give him an adrenaline injection, don't let him die.

Beggar Clan disciple: We've already given him the injection.

Another group of Beggars' Sect disciples wandered around Little Rock and found Dr. Jerry's fellow inmate wandering the streets, but his mental state was truly worrying, and he seemed to be acting crazy.

Beggar Clan disciple: Boss, he was already like this when we arrived. Does he need more?

Zhang Ailun: Yes! His symptoms seem similar to the priest's, but not as severe. Bring him back so Dr. Jerry can treat him. Electroconvulsive therapy should do the trick. After all, he used to be the head physician at a mental hospital, and someone with this kind of mental illness is dangerous if left out. Dr. Jerry has a way to manage him!

Beggar Clan disciple: OK.

We drove to the mountain camp.

It took them more than half an hour to arrive at the campsite one after the other.

Upon hearing the good news, Dr. Jerry rushed out. Looking at his old cellmate, he couldn't help but burst into tears. "That's wonderful! That's wonderful! I'm finally not alone anymore!"

"You're not even human, you're an animal," Zhang Ailun said irritably.

"You're right, I am an animal, but these guys are even worse than animals," Dr. Jerry laughed.

"..." Zhang Ailun looked at him with a strange expression. Damn it, why does this old guy seem to be getting more and more crazy? Could he be secretly using me as a test subject? I hope he doesn't kill himself.

You have so many laborers, why don't you use them? They're not human beings.

Dr. Jerry injected the group with a remedy, and Dr. Tom slowly woke up. The first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was several people pointing guns at him, and he was immediately terrified.

"WTF! Where am I? Who are you people?"

"Oh! My ass, my face!"

"My genitals..."

Several people began to wail. "Shut up!" Zhang Ailun snapped, interrupting their cries. Dr. Jerry then calmed them down and explained his situation.

"Congratulations! From today onwards, you are prisoners! There are no women, no leaves, no cocoa, no pay, and no personal freedom here, but there are chemicals! From today onwards, you will work from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. every day, and around 10 p.m. you will also have to write a paper, working hard for Mr. Jin until retirement! By the way, I'm the one who had you arrested. Surprised? Unexpected?"

"...???" The group was stunned on the spot and almost lost their composure.

Are you fucking crazy?

Are you even human?

"Fxxkyou! Jerry!!" he couldn't help but curse.

Dr. Jerry was annoyed and yelled, "Fxxk you to! Tom! Snoopy!"

"If I hadn't recruited you, who knows what kind of world you'd be in! You might have been captured for research one day, then arrested and shot on the spot by the FBI!"

"I'm out there doing research with Motorola, doing whatever I want every day, and you've captured me and made me a slave? I want my freedom!" Dr. Tom was devastated.

"No freedom, but I can send you to meet God." Zhang Ailun took a gun from his henchman, cocked it twice, and pressed it against the man's forehead. "Do you want freedom, or do you want to die?"

"I think we need to have a serious talk. I can work for you, as long as you pay me. Just say it's research on leaves, or some kind of drug."

Dr. Tom's eyes immediately cleared; those who can discern the truth are the wise ones.

"I'm too lazy to say anything more to you. For Dr. Jerry's sake, I won't kill you. Stay here for two days and you'll know what you should do." Zhang Ailun waved his hand and immediately ordered the Beggar Clan disciples to drag the people into the dungeon and starve them for two days.

Once they've figured things out and given in, release them again.

Before Dr. Tom could refute anything further, a Beggar Clan disciple stepped forward and delivered a powerful blow, instantly making him much more obedient.

The unscrupulous doctor was speechless. He was already on the verge of death from excessive blood loss, and the shock of this dramatic turn of events caused him to faint again.

Dr. Jerry, seeing this, promptly began to treat him, saying, "Don't die! If you die, there will be one less person to suffer with me!"

You absolutely cannot die!!

"This guy is already in this state, do you think you can cure him?" Zhang Ailun glanced at the mentally challenged homeless man and the unscrupulous doctor beside him.

"Don't worry, I guarantee with my integrity that I will keep him alive and work for you," Dr. Jerry replied confidently.

"Okay." Seeing how energetic he was, Zhang Ailun felt relieved.

He then gave some instructions to the Beggars' Sect disciples, telling them to stay at their posts, before leading his men away from the camp, boarding an armed escort vehicle, and returning to Luocheng city.

He changed seats midway and drove his Wrangler to the Newport Villa in the south. When he arrived, he saw his hiking RV parked outside. Dominic and his family had already moved in.

Zhang Ailun simply drove the Wrangler into the garage. Jennifer and Eileen heard the commotion and rushed out, immediately pounced on the leader upon seeing him.

"Honey!"

"Dad!"

Zhang Ailun had just turned around when he saw two blindingly white humanoid figures dribbling a ball and bumping into him. He quickly raised his hands and caught them. After realizing what had happened, he looked at Eileen with a strange expression and asked, "What did you call me?"

"Dad, Jennifer said you like that nickname," Eileen said timidly. "Didn't you ask me to call you that last time too?"

"There are no outsiders here, what are you afraid of? Honey, would you like to come for a swim in the pool?" Jennifer tossed her hair and extended an invitation.

"I think it's going well. How's the arms transport business with the armed nation going?" Zhang Ailun asked.

"The Mason Clippers have already set off and can get you there in as little as 48 hours," Jennifer said.

"OK".

Zhang Ailun nodded in satisfaction, put his arms around the two of them, and was about to go swimming in the pool when he turned around and saw Dominic wearing an apron, carrying two bags of yogurt and an ice cream maker, standing dumbly at the door watching the three of them.

His expression was strange. Seriously, you guys don't treat me like a human being? Why did you call me here?

"I'm going to make desserts," Dominic said, turning and heading into the side kitchen. Jesse wanted to join in, but Dominic pulled her back.

"..." Zhang Ailun took a deep breath. Oh no, the Grand Master's reputation has been ruined!

Oh well, Dominic and Jesse aren't exactly outsiders anyway.

Living under the same roof, they already knew a lot about the leader.

Zhang Ailun immediately went inside to change into a cool floral shirt and swim trunks, then jumped into the swimming pool.

The water temperature was just right after heating and adjusting. I swam two laps, then sat by the pool, admiring the neon lights of the harbor. The azure sea reflected dazzling ripples, and a gentle sea breeze blew.

"Olivia didn't come?" Zhang Ailun suddenly realized that someone was missing.

He hasn't invited the Dongwu sisters yet, mainly because there are too many people and their bodies can't handle it. They also have their own careers to pursue.

"Am I not here?"

Olivia, wearing a bikini, walked over carrying a fruit platter and drinks. She sat down beside the leader, smiling, and asked, "Your villa is really nicely decorated. How much did it cost?"

"Three million US dollars, that's a very cheap price. If the seller hadn't been hoping I'd bid for his company with a guaranteed minimum, and offered a discount, you couldn't buy such a nice villa on the market," Zhang Ailun chuckled.

"You really are a shrewd businessman." Olivier immediately gave him a passionate kiss. "Thank you for thinking of inviting me to stay at your villa."

"No need to thank me, because each and every one of you is very important to me, you are all my family." The leader said without hesitation.

Olivia gave her the middle finger. "I think you just want to be king in your own territory! So many concubines waiting for you to choose from, and so many subjects depending on you for food. But you certainly have the means to do so, because you're rich. Your Majesty, your body should be able to handle it, right?"

"If I can't take it anymore, I'll move out for a couple of days," Zhang Ailun said stubbornly.

Olivia chuckled and turned to play water volleyball with Jennifer and Erin, inviting the Grand Master to join the fray.

"The dessert is ready! Come and eat!! I think we need to hire a nanny and a chef! Otherwise, Dominic will be exhausted!" Jesse complained as she ran over half an hour later.

"Would you like to play together?" Jennifer invited.

"Of course," Jesse chuckled. "I'm going to change."

He immediately forgot about Dominic.

Dominic: ...?

So, has a world where only I am hurt been achieved?

The Grand Master would certainly not let him suffer alone!

He casually sent a message to Sieg, asking him to come over and take turns washing dishes and leading a team on guard duty. He also assigned them a bedroom so they could stay there at night.

Sig: So? You've forgotten your old flame once you found someone new? Now I'm relegated to washing dishes and standing guard? What about Zorro?

Zhang Ailun: He has important business to attend to. You can't do his job. He also receives a salary and bonuses at the villa.

Sig: Leave it to me! I'll take it!
