Chapter 369 Action

Old Jack put on his gloves, stepped onto Old Gun's shoulders, and the two of them worked together to leap up. Old Jack was agile and climbed up the wall. Then he looked around, crouched down, squatted on the wall, and reached out to pull his teammate up as well.

Afterwards, he couldn't help but gasp, rubbing his sore and numb arms. "Dude, you're way too heavy! You need to lose weight!"

"Senior, isn't it because you're old and too old?" the old man couldn't help but complain. "I only weigh 170 pounds."

"Shut up, 170 pounds isn't fat enough? I'm only 145 pounds." Old Jack cursed, then quickly climbed over the wall and jumped into the yard.

Looking at the several pest control company vans parked in the yard, Lao Pao tried to open the doors, only to find them locked. He then went straight to the storage room door, intending to push it open, but found that the door was also tightly locked.

However, they did not carry any technological tools for calibration and could only rely on the most primitive methods.

He said, "Senior, the key should be in the storage room. What do you think we should do?"

"Of course, it's by picking the lock." Old Jack rolled his eyes.

"But I don't know how..."

"Leave it to me."

Old Jack glanced at the security door, then confidently pulled out a lock pick from his bag, walked over, fiddled with the keyhole for a while, and pressed his ear against the door to listen for the sound until he heard a click.

"The door is open?" The old man was overjoyed, not expecting that the old guy actually had some skills.

"What the hell? The lock pick is broken, and the keyhole is blocked."

Old Jack cursed, then pulled out the broken wire in two, puzzled.

Looking at the broken lock pick in my hand, I never expected that my confident lock picking would fail so miserably. It's been so many years since I've done my old job, and I've become too reliant on today's high technology. My skills have become rusty.

The veteran glanced at it and was speechless. "Then how are we supposed to open the door? If we don't get the key, we can't borrow this car, and if we can't drive the pest control company's car, we won't have an excuse to enter the private estate. The mission is definitely not going to be completed."

"Why are you talking so much nonsense? Why are you acting like a sissy when you're a grown man? I only teamed up with you for this mission because you have a beard, a strong physique, and look like a man. Why do you complain so much when things go wrong? Why don't you try to find a solution?" Old Jack felt his head was about to explode from listening to his rambling.

Too lazy to bother with this unreliable guy, he looked around, thought of the chief's specialty, and after a moment's thought, said, "I've got it! Go get me the crowbar."

The veteran immediately did as instructed, picking up the tools that were lying in the corner. "Senior, are you going to pry open the lock directly? Won't that make too much noise?"

"No, because I'm going to pry open the window." Old Jack said and began to act. His technique was equally skillful. In no time, he broke the latches inside the window and pushed it open.

"See that?! Learn from this! This is all technical work! I really don't know how you guys managed to go on missions before. As assassins, you can't even pick a lock!"

Old Jack, carried away by his triumph, muttered a few complaints, climbed through the window, and opened the security door from the inside out.

"We generally don't commit crimes at the target's home because it's easy to leave clues. Besides, home invasion assassinations aren't part of my job. My job is just to pick up my teammates, drive various vehicles, and clean up afterward, like digging a hole to bury the body," the veteran explained.

"Oh." Old Jack said without changing his expression, beckoning. "Stop talking nonsense and come in quickly."

Seeing that Old Jack opened the door and turned on the indoor lights, Old Gun followed him into the house.

The two searched the storage room and found several work clothes with the pest control company's logo, as well as pesticides, spray bottles, and some loose cigarette leaves, a few cents, and car keys in the drawer.

"These work clothes and business cards are all you can take. With a little disguise, you won't have to worry about fooling the security personnel at the private estate." After saying that, Old Jack quickly started packing his things, putting the insecticide tools into his suitcase, grabbing his car keys, and heading out the door.

The veteran turned on his computer, printed out a list of on-site work assignments, and glanced at the time. It was indeed set as evening work, and even the hourly rate and tips were charged extra for nighttime overtime.

However, the list of staff members was fabricated; they were contract workers and temporary employees hired by the company, and no such person could be found. This way, if something went wrong, no trace would be found.

Having taken care of everything, Lao Pao cleaned up the traces in the room, erasing all the footprints and inconspicuous marks before leaving the storage room.

Old Jack had already loaded all the pest control tools onto the bread truck, opened the gate to the yard, and started the vehicle from the driver's seat.

Seeing the veteran's caution, he praised him, saying, "Not bad, very careful, just like I was back in the day!"

"Really? But I've heard people talking about it in private, saying that you were recruited by the boss because you accidentally left traces of something you did years ago, which led to your being discovered by the boss's intelligence agents?" The old man was unconvinced, as this was just part of his job, but he asked out of curiosity.

"Don't ask questions you shouldn't ask. I only joined the boss's side to make more money. Do you think I'm like you guys?" Old Jack was a little annoyed that the other party was pointing out his shortcomings.

He urged, "Hurry up and get in the other car. We've got the stuff; now it's time to get down to business."

"Understood." The old man turned and went out the door, getting into the Highlander he had driven there.

Only after Old Jack drove the pest control company's van out, got out, closed the yard gate, restarted the vehicle, and drove off did he step on the gas and follow.

On the other side, Mouse and Violet drove around the town and parked in an alley 200 meters away from the private estate, turning off the engine and parking the car.

Mouse sat in the passenger seat, typing away on his laptop, inputting program commands, and successfully hacked into the security guard's camera. After looking around, he saw several black bodyguards standing guard at the door.

However, the cameras at the manor gate alone were not enough for him to have a comprehensive view of the entire situation. So he activated the client version of the Terminator system and began hacking into the manor's security system. Without anyone noticing, he hacked into and manipulated the entire security system of the private manor.

The movements of dozens of cameras are all under control.

Looking at the dozen or so security teams appearing on the screen, the mouse observed for a while, noting their shift change times and the number of people, including the number of staff, gardeners, maids, and others in the manor. It then drew an electronic topographic map before disconnecting.

"Okay, it's all done."

"So fast?"

Violet was somewhat surprised. Normally, doing something like this would take at least half an hour, and that was only for ordinary targets. Now they were going to target a billionaire at a private estate, and the other party had hired so many people and spent so much on security, yet they had it all done in less than twenty minutes?

"Because I used to use a self-made system, it had many shortcomings. Doing so much work by myself was also quite time-consuming. But now, with the Terminator system that Professor Blitz shared with me, this system is incredibly powerful and comprehensive. It can accomplish a lot of tasks and has also helped me discover many of my own shortcomings. Now I've learned how to use this system and can even replicate my own. I could even hack into the Department of Defense without any problem!"

The mouse said confidently.

"Then you can expect to go to jail. Daring to infiltrate the Ministry of National Defense, whether you succeed or fail, the best outcome is that you'll be locked in a dark room for decades, and you'll live under surveillance for the rest of your life." Violet sneered.

"So this system is only suitable for protecting your own information security, not for intrusion work. Although it can complete the task, it is best to use it as a firewall." After saying that, Mouse took out his phone and looked at the message that Lao Pao had sent them.

"Who sent the message? Is there any new development?" Violet asked.

Mouse chuckled and said, "It was Old Cannon who sent the message, informing us that they've secured the pest control company's vehicles. We can head back now, pick up Zorro at the motel, and then begin the official mission!"

"Okay." Violet nodded, glanced at her watch, and said, "It's about time. Zorro usually orders takeout at this rate."

"He took two pills, so it should last a bit longer than usual, right? I don't think the motel owner is someone who can be easily satisfied. She's Black, and a single, divorced middle-aged woman," Mouse joked.

"We'll drive back to the motel from here, and the time will be just right, trust me! I'm very punctual; I've never made a mistake!"

After Violet finished speaking, she restarted the Highlander, reversed out of the parking space, drove out of the alley, turned the steering wheel, and stepped on the gas to drive away from the street.

As it turns out, she was indeed a remarkable woman with a keen sense of time.

It took about ten minutes to drive out of the alley and arrive at the motel. When they arrived, Old Jack and Old Gun had just parked their cars in the motel's parking area, and they got out and met up.

"Go up and talk to them."

After saying that, Old Jack carried his luggage and went into the motel. The others followed him. As soon as they pushed open the door, they saw the motel owner coming down from upstairs, her dark face still flushed.

Seeing the group return, she seemed a little surprised and flustered, and greeted them somewhat awkwardly, "Hey, darling, you're back?"

"That's right, we took a walk around the neighborhood and found an amusement park and a themed restaurant that's open at night. We were just about to call our friends to go there for dinner," Violet greeted politely.

"That's quite a coincidence. I just came downstairs and said hello to your friends because a guest checked out, right next to yours." The black woman at the motel lied without batting an eye.

"Then I won't bother you any longer." After saying that, Violet led the group upstairs to their room and knocked on the door.

"Wait a minute, I'll be right there," came Zorro's hesitant voice from inside.

After waiting outside for about two minutes, Zorro opened the door. Seeing them return, he couldn't help but complain, "Hey! You guys came back way too fast! I wasn't even finished here. Luckily, I had a feeling you'd be back, so I sent someone away beforehand. What do you think of my timing?"

Violet quipped, "Don't be nervous. We all know your actual skill level, so no one cares that you came back right on time."

Zorro fell silent after hearing this.

The group followed them into the room, closed the door, and saw that the room was a mess, with used paper balls in the trash can and on the table.

The mouse said meaningfully, "Not bad, you can handle all of this? I guess we won't need gems anymore for this kind of thing in the future."

"Who is Gemstone? Is it that black man?" Old Jack asked in surprise.

"That's right, he's physically strong and has great stamina. He's much better than Zorro at this kind of thing. It's a good thing he wasn't assigned to this mission, otherwise we wouldn't have needed Zorro," the old man replied.

Zorro rolled his eyes and gave him the middle finger. "You have no idea what I've been through. I feel like a poor little sailboat adrift on the ocean."

His face was pale, and he looked weak and powerless.

"Enough, shut up. Let's discuss the next plan. Nobody here wants to hear your love story with the motel owner. How did you come to that conclusion? Looks like I overestimated you." Violet's gaze towards Zorro grew increasingly contemptuous.

"We'd be happy to hear it."

Old Jack and the other men present seemed quite interested, giving Zorro an encouraging look. "It's alright, go on, what did you and that proprietress do?"

"Forget it, I finally managed to get her away, and I promised to leave the door open for her tonight. We still have a battle to fight... I think we should hurry up and finish our business and leave here!" Zorro urged.

"No need to rush. Twilight Lovers will allow the target to sleep soundly through the night and never wake up again. We can rest here for the night after we finish our work, and then head to the next place tomorrow," Old Jack reassured him.

"I think you want me to die here..." Zorro's lips twitched. He should have brought the gem over; after all, the other side was the professional.

After a few words of banter, the group managed to steer the conversation back on track once Zorro had calmed down.

The mouse provided an electronic topographic map, which was shared among several people, and also specified the shift changes for security personnel at the private estate, as well as the locations of the cameras.

Old Jack and Old Gun then took out the pest control company's work procedures and handed them to Violet and Zorro. "You two put on these uniforms and you can easily enter through the main gate. According to the map, you can get close to the helipad in the work area and, when no one is around, plant the explosives on the aircraft. Also, the pest control equipment is on the bread truck."
