Honghuang: It makes sense that there are four Sanqing, right?

Chapter 102: How come I accidentally wrote the entire setting?

Seeing Luo Hou's unusual reaction, Xu Qing knew what he was thinking with just a glance.

After all... he had watched these two grow up literally, like children.

After thinking for a moment, Xu Qing continued.

"I bestow these treasures upon you only because the method of severing the three corpses requires that the three magical treasures be of the same origin. Therefore, I did not consider whether they were suitable in terms of function."

"Therefore, the outcome of your contests has sometimes been unfair, but now that a formidable enemy is at hand, you should not focus your attention on this matter."

"If this matter is settled, why don't you abandon your magical treasures and just fight based on your own cultivation level? I think that would be fair and just, and would demonstrate your strength."

"yes!"

Having learned his lesson from Xu Qing, Hongjun and Luohou immediately bowed respectfully, not daring to be negligent in the slightest.

However, Hongjun felt somewhat unconvinced upon hearing this and had other thoughts.

Is the ability of the Four Swords of Zhuxian to trap people something that none of my magical treasures can match? Luo Hou and I both possess four innate supreme treasures, and we have been cultivating for the same amount of time. What is unfair about that?

Then, he continued with the gesture of bowing and said...

"Venerable One, a formidable enemy is approaching. It is already difficult for us to improve our cultivation level. The only way to increase our combat power is to fight more battles and gain more experience. Moreover, in order to simulate the real situation, we naturally need to use magic weapons."

"Today, Junior Brother Luo Hou has just obtained this treasure. I have a suggestion: why don't you have a duel with me? It would also help you familiarize yourself with how to use the Primordial Measuring Ruler."

The title of "junior brother" originated from a bet made during Hongjun's first duel with Luohou. Before the battle, the two agreed that whoever won would be the senior brother.

The result was naturally that Hongjun won. Although Luohou later cheated and changed the title to "Dynamic Senior Brother"—whoever won more would be the senior brother—his total number of victories still could not match Hongjun's, and he remained the junior brother.

Looking at Hongjun, Xu Qing knew exactly what Hongjun was thinking. But what Hongjun said was right; Luo Hou should be familiarized with the use of the Hongmeng Measuring Ruler. Otherwise, if something went wrong in actual combat, it would be a big problem.

He smiled slightly and said.

"Hongjun, you're not convinced by what I just said, are you? Fine, I'll give you a chance!"

"The Great Dao is impartial. I have just bestowed upon Rahu the Primordial Measuring Ruler, without any favoritism. Now I will bestow upon you the Primordial Treasure of Merit, the Exquisite Xuanhuang Pagoda of Heaven and Earth."

As he spoke, a thirteen-story golden pagoda, exuding a sacred aura and profound energy, quietly appeared in front of Xu Qing, and then flew into Hongjun's hand.

Nine is the ultimate number, and a tower-type magic treasure with nine layers is a top-grade innate spiritual treasure. Twelve is the number of countless eons, and a tower-type magic treasure with twelve layers is an innate supreme treasure.

This Heaven and Earth Exquisite Xuanhuang Pagoda actually has a thirteenth layer formed from the merits of the creation of the world. It is the only one of its kind in the heavens and the earth, in the vast universe and all the worlds. One can imagine how high its rank and how strong its power is!

Even with a defensive treasure like the Taiji Diagram, Hongjun couldn't help but swallow hard.

"Thank you, Venerable One, for bestowing this treasure!"

Hongjun accepted the magic weapon and immediately bowed to express his gratitude. This was half a level higher than the innate supreme treasure. Apart from the chaotic spiritual treasures that accompanied the demon gods, it was one of only two innate merit supreme treasures with fifty restrictions!

In the primordial world, magical treasures are divided into chaotic spiritual treasures, innate spiritual treasures, and acquired spiritual treasures. Chaotic spiritual treasures are mostly treasures that are born with demons and gods, or treasures that are nurtured by the Great Dao. Innate spiritual treasures refer to magical treasures that are naturally nurtured by heaven and earth, while acquired spiritual treasures are magical treasures that are refined by immortals and gods.

These three categories are merely distinctions of type; the strength is determined by something else—the number of restrictions within the magical artifact!

The so-called Great Dao is the Five Great Daos. Therefore, the strongest magic weapons are the five Chaos Treasures that correspond to the five Great Daos, each with fifty-five restrictions.

Below that are Chaos Spiritual Treasures, ranging from fifty to fifty-five restrictions. For example, the God-Slaying Spear, which Xu Qing is most skilled at using, is a high-grade Chaos Spiritual Treasure with fifty-three restrictions, while the Curse Mirror used by Yang Mei was a mid-grade Chaos Spiritual Treasure with fifty-two restrictions.

There are also magical treasures born from chaos that are subject to fifty restrictions, but such treasures cannot survive the battles of the Great Calamity of Creation, so there are no examples of them.

The Heavenly Dao has fifty restrictions, but humans can only escape one. Therefore, the magical treasures nurtured by the Heavenly Dao can only have a maximum of forty-nine restrictions.

These are the innate treasures of the primordial world in later generations. There are only twelve of them in the entire primordial world, which is also the number of primordial calamities. Among them, eight are the three-colored lotuses: the Twelve-Grade Karmic Fire Red Lotus, the Twelve-Grade Merit Golden Lotus, and the Twelve-Grade World-Destroying Black Lotus, as well as the five-colored flags: the Plain-Colored Cloud Realm Flag, the Earth-Leaving Flame Light Flag, the Profound Origin Water Control Flag, the Azure Lotus Treasure Flag, and the Earth-Earth Apricot Yellow Flag. Although they are all part of the Chaos Azure Lotus, they were nurtured by the Heavenly Dao and belong to the innate spiritual treasures.

Of the remaining four items, two are the Primordial Measuring Ruler and the Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang Exquisite Pagoda. These two magical treasures are innate treasures purely nurtured by the Heavenly Dao. Originally, they also had forty-nine restrictions. After absorbing one-tenth of the merits of the creation of the world, they became fifty restrictions and separated from the other ten innate treasures, thus becoming innate merit treasures.

The last two innate treasures are no less special than innate merit treasures. Both were born from the primordial Heavenly Dao. One of them is the red embroidered ball in Nuwa's hand. Originally, it only had forty-eight restrictions and was an innate top-grade spiritual treasure. However, after Nuwa presided over the three marriages of Heaven, Earth and Man, the laws of marriage were perfected, and an additional restriction was added, making it forty-nine restrictions and thus an innate treasure.

Secondly, there are the four swords of Zhuxian in Tongtian's hands. Each of the four swords is only a top-grade innate spiritual treasure when separated, but once the four swords are combined with the array diagram, they become an innate supreme treasure, which is truly miraculous.

Besides, the Chaos Bell, Pangu Banner, and Taiji Diagram, these three treasures of creation, were formed from the broken pieces of the Creation Axe. Although they also have forty-nine restrictions, they should not actually be classified as innate treasures. It's just that people in the prehistoric world are used to calling them that, so everyone just goes with the flow.

As for other famous magical treasures, such as the Three Books of Heaven, Earth and Man, the Wheel of Reincarnation, and the Righteous Qi Dust-Sweeping Scroll, although they have the same power as the Primordial Treasures, they each have their own special features and are not actually Primordial Treasures.

For example, the three books on Heaven, Earth, and Man cannot all be considered magic treasures, but rather alternative manifestations of the three paths of Heaven, Earth, and Man.

Below the forty-nine innate supreme treasures with restrictions are the top-grade innate spiritual treasures with thirty-seven to forty-eight restrictions. There is also a fixed number, a total of fifty-five, which is in accordance with the number of the Great Dao. The Hetu Luoshu and the Righteous Qi Dust Whisk are among them. In the primordial world, their rarity and power are second only to the aforementioned fifteen supreme treasures.

Due to the limitations imposed by the Heavenly Dao in the primordial world, supreme treasures could not be forged. Only saints who specialized in this path had a chance to forge one or two top-grade spiritual treasures. For example, the Heaven-Turning Seal in the Investiture of the Gods was forged by Yuanshi, who specialized in the Dao of Weapons.

Of course, top-grade acquired spiritual treasures that have been refined are not included in the number of fifty-five.

Next are high-grade spiritual treasures with twenty-five to thirty-six restrictions. At this stage, they can be refined by ordinary immortals and gods. Below that are mid-grade spiritual treasures with thirteen to twenty-four restrictions, and low-grade spiritual treasures with one to twelve restrictions.

Among them, there are 361 innate high-grade spiritual treasures, which is the number of the Zhou Tian; there are 3,000 innate mid-grade spiritual treasures, which is the number of the law; and there are 12,960 innate low-grade spiritual treasures, which is the number of the Xiao He Yuan Hui.

Without any restrictions, it would be crafted by an ordinary cultivator or a lower-level immortal, not classified as a treasure, but merely a tool. Tools have no innate nature; they are made by humans. The magical artifacts bestowed upon Xu Qing by Randeng when he was reincarnated as Qing Di were among these.
