Chapter 100 Don't Move
"You..." Zhou Ruoying's mother's voice trembled, "You lied to me..."
Su Wuli didn't speak, she just looked at her.
The other person's hand slid off her collar and hung trembling at her side.
A look of hesitation appeared in his eyes.
Su Wuli saw the change in her expression and knew that she believed it.
"That kind of medicine," Su Wuli said softly, "is not something you can just get easily. I need to contact someone; only he can give it to me."
He paused, then looked down at his wrists, which were bound so tightly they had turned purple.
"How can I help you if you tie me up like this?"
Zhou Ruoying's mother stared at her with a complicated expression.
Hatred, doubt, fear, hope...
"If you're lying to me..."
"Do you have any other options?" Su Wuli met her gaze. "You've already tried the doctor's method, it didn't work."
After she finished speaking, she didn't urge the other person any further, afraid of arousing suspicion.
Zhou Ruoying's mother frowned and pondered for a moment before making a decision.
He reached out and began to untie the knot. "If you dare to lie to me..."
She warned repeatedly, "If Yingying doesn't get better... I'll haunt you even as a ghost..."
The rope was loosened, and Su Wuli's wrists were freed.
Blood rushed back to my fingertips, causing a sharp, needle-like pain.
She flexed her wrists, lowered her eyes, and said softly, "I know."
Su Wuli saw that the other person seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.
The hand hanging by her side suddenly reached towards her collar.
With her necklace ripped off, she didn't hesitate and used all her strength to lunge at the other person.
The sharp edge of the metal sheet was pressed firmly against the side of the mother's neck.
"Don't move."
Zhou Ruoying's mother froze completely. "You—"
"Don't move," Su Wuli repeated, her voice laced with warning. "Do you know what this is?"
Zhou Ruoying's mother strained her eyes downwards, trying to see what was on her neck.
"The injury on Zhou Ruoying's face," Su Wuli said, emphasizing each word as she whispered in her ear, "was caused by this scratch."
As soon as she finished speaking, Zhou Ruoying's mother began to tremble.
"If I were to make the incision now," Su Wuli said, "your blood will keep flowing, and unlike in the face, the major arteries won't last more than a few days to get the antidote."
As soon as he finished speaking, he heard the other person gasp for breath, but dared not move.
It clearly had a deterrent effect.
The driver saw this in his rearview mirror and slammed on the brakes.
"You fucking—"
"Don't move." Su Wuli looked up at the pair of eyes in the rearview mirror. "If she moves another step, she'll die."
The men who grabbed her earlier didn't get on this bus; now there are only two men in the front seat.
The man driving dared not make a move.
When the other person in the passenger seat tried to open the car door, Su Wuli pressed against Zhou Ruoying's mother's neck again.
The man immediately froze.
"Stop the car," Su Wuli said. "Everyone get out."
Zhou Ruoying's mother was so frightened that she collapsed in her seat, barely daring to breathe, her face covered in tears and snot.
She knew how terrifying it was to bleed continuously.
His lips trembled as he spoke, "Get...get off...everyone get off..."
The two men exchanged a glance but dared not make a move, and eventually got out of the car.
The back door was opened, and Su Wuli, holding the hostage in her hand, got out of the car and slowly moved towards the driver's seat.
Every step was steady.
I glanced at it and saw that the driver's side door was open and the key was still in the ignition.
Su Wuli used her knee to push Zhou Ruoying's mother away, then slid sideways into the driver's seat.
The metal plate remained pressed against the fragile artery, not moving an inch away.
He touched the steering wheel and stepped on the brake.
There are no problems.
Su Wuli suddenly released her grip on the person and pushed her away forcefully.
Zhou Ruoying's mother staggered and fell to the ground.
Su Wuli didn't look at her.
He pulled the car door shut behind him and locked it.
Start the engine, shift gears, and step on the gas.
The car sped off.
In the rearview mirror, the figures grew smaller and smaller, and they stood still, not catching up.
Su Wuli didn't think about it.
She floored the accelerator, staring at the dark road ahead.
I don't know where to drive.
I don't even know where I am.
All I knew was to stay as far away from those people as possible.
After driving for a few minutes, an intersection appeared ahead.
She recognized it; it led to the city center, and further ahead, she would pass a police station.
Overjoyed, she turned on her turn signal.
Ten minutes later, the building with the police badge came into view.
Su Wuli parked the car at the entrance, turned off the headlights, and the surroundings became quiet.
As Su Wuli sat in the driver's seat, she loosened her grip on the steering wheel one by one, only to realize that her hands were shaking violently.
After a moment, she got out of the car and pushed open the door of the police station.
The room was brightly lit, and several people in uniforms sat behind desks.
She walked in, her legs felt a little weak, and she had to hold onto the counter to steady herself.
The young police officer on duty looked up and paused for a moment when he saw her.
"Miss, what's wrong?"
Su Wuli swallowed hard before speaking, "I want to report this to the police. I've been kidnapped."
Upon hearing this, the young policeman's expression changed, and he immediately stood up and led her to the reception room next door.
I poured her a cup of hot water and told her to sit and wait.
Soon an older policeman arrived, took a notebook, and sat down opposite her.
"Name?"
"Su Wuli".
"Profession?"
"actor."
The policeman looked up at her, said nothing more, and continued asking questions.
"When? Where? Who kidnapped you? How many of them were there? How did you escape?"
One problem after another.
Su Wuli held the cup, trying her best to explain herself clearly.
After he finished speaking, the room was silent for a few seconds.
Just as the police were about to speak, Su Wuli suddenly remembered something, "Before I was kidnapped, I received a phone call from a policeman."
The police officer looked up upon hearing this.
"He's the captain of the criminal investigation team," Su Wuli recalled. "He handled another case of mine before."
She paused, her voice urgent, "I was on the phone with him when I was kidnapped. Could you help me contact him?"
The policeman nodded and went outside to make a phone call.
A few minutes later, he returned with his phone.
"Captain Li from the Municipal Criminal Investigation Team." He handed the phone to Su Wuli. "He's looking for you."
Su Wuli took the phone and put it to her ear.
"Miss Su?" came a deep voice from the middle-aged man.
"it's me."
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone.
"It's good that you're alright." Captain Li's voice clearly showed relief.
Su Wuli tightened her grip on her phone.
"After the incident on your end, I immediately dispatched officers and personnel. When we arrived, we only found your assistant and driver."
He then added, "We just arrested someone on the road here."
As Su Wuli listened, she felt as if something was stuck in her throat.
"The person will be taken back." The other person's voice softened. "You can rest over there for now. I'll send someone to pick you up tomorrow so you can give a formal statement."
"……good."
"Your assistant and driver are coming to pick you up now. Please wait over there."
"Um."
The phone hangs up.
Su Wuli returned the phone and then waited in the reception room.
Twenty minutes later, a young policewoman poked her head in and looked at Su Wuli.
