All Realms and Worlds: The Lost Home

Chapter 39 Mother and Daughter Reunited

The deathly silence in the cell was amplified by the "drip-drip" sound of water droplets falling. Lancelot and Law looked at each other, a thousand words stuck in their throats, and even the air seemed to freeze.

The two of them were both stiff. The guilt and concern in Lancelot's eyes and the complexity and estrangement in Law's eyes were intertwined. Neither of them dared to speak first, for fear of breaking this strange balance, and for fear that if they spoke, they would reveal the myriad emotions in their hearts.

Karen stood to the side, scratching her head, looking at the two of them frozen in place, her face full of confusion.

He was naturally thick-skinned and couldn't stand the silence. He immediately cleared his throat and shouted, breaking the deathly stillness in the cell: "You two, stop staring! You know each other, so get out of here! It's not safe. Xue Ji's men might be here any minute!"

After saying that, he looked at Luo, who was curled up in the corner, and said in a blunt and somewhat clumsy tone, "Luo, can you still move? If you can't, let Lancelot carry you away!"

These words instantly made the atmosphere in the cell even more delicate.

Yue Gui, standing to the side, almost facepalmed upon hearing this. He glanced at Karen with a look that suggested she was an idiot, his eyes filled with helplessness and disdain.

Should I hug you?

Did Lancelot learn all his magic for nothing?

Did he think that Lancelot carried them back when they were rescued?

Putting aside the fact that Lancelot is a top-tier expert who could easily solve the problem with a levitation spell, the awkward relationship between Luo and Lancelot makes having Lancelot hug her just adding fuel to the fire.

Yue Gui kicked Karen in an annoyed tone, muttering, "Are you out of your mind? Lancelot knows magic, does he need to be carried?"

Karen stumbled from the kick, looking at Yue Gui with a blank expression: "Huh? Magic? Oh right!"

He scratched his head, completely unaware that he had said the wrong thing, and instead said matter-of-factly, "I was just in a hurry and forgot that Lancelot knows magic."

Seeing Karen's completely oblivious expression, Yue Gui was utterly exasperated. He could only roll his eyes helplessly, too lazy to argue with him anymore.

Meanwhile, Lancelot and Law felt a slight embarrassment upon hearing Karen's words. The awkwardness instantly replaced their previous stiffness.

Luo subconsciously lowered his head, avoiding Lancelot's gaze, his fingertips tightening slightly, yet he inexplicably let out a sigh of relief.

At least Karen's blunt and clumsy words broke the suffocating silence they had just been locked in, and even if it turned into awkwardness, it was still better than the two of them remaining frozen in place.

Lancelot also suppressed the complex emotions in his eyes, coughed lightly to cover his embarrassment, and breathed a sigh of relief.

In that instant, his mind was filled with past entanglements and his sense of indebtedness to Luo, and he didn't know what to say. Karen's words, though awkward, helped him out of the predicament.

"I...I can walk."

Luo spoke slowly, her voice still weak, but with a hint of determination. She gritted her teeth, supported herself against the stone wall behind her, and slowly stood up.

The long period of imprisonment and the extraction of her essence left her body extremely weak. As soon as she stood up, she staggered and almost fell to the ground.

"Be careful!"

Lancelot instinctively reached out to support Lo, but stopped abruptly just as his fingertips were about to touch Lo's arm. After a moment's hesitation, he finally withdrew his hand, though the worry in his eyes remained undiminished.

Luo steadied himself, noticing Lancelot's movements. A complex look flashed in his eyes, but he said nothing, merely managing to stand still, his breathing somewhat rapid.

"Let me help you heal your wounds."

Lancelot took a deep breath, suppressing the embarrassment and hesitation in his heart, and slowly raised his hand. The crystal core in his palm lit up again, and the seven-colored halo softened a lot. It was no longer as dazzling as before, but it still exuded a rich power of the world's origin and the power of the goddess's authority.

He carefully guided the energy of the crystal core, transforming it into strands of soft, seven-colored light that slowly spread towards Luo, afraid that too much force might harm the already weakened Luo.

Luo looked at the approaching strands of seven-colored light, his eyes showing no surprise, only a hint of understanding.

She knew that the crystal core existed.

When Lancelot was born, the will of the world bestowed a gift, and this crystal core came into being. She had seen it once by chance.

She knew that this crystal core contained immense power, a gift from the will of the world, and carried the authority and energy of two goddesses, making it perfect for healing.

Luo did not resist. She closed her eyes slightly and let the strands of seven-colored light fall on her body and slowly flow into her body through her meridians.

The seven-colored energy was gentle yet powerful. The moment it entered the body, it dispelled the chill and fatigue. The meridians that had been drained of their essence and damaged were gradually repaired under the nourishment of the energy, and the originally weak aura gradually became more stable.

Lancelot focused intently on guiding the energy, his eyes focused and serious. He carefully controlled the output of the energy, precisely nourishing Lancelot's damaged essence and meridians, not daring to be careless in the slightest.

Yue Gui and Karen stood to the side without speaking, cautiously scanning their surroundings to prevent Xue Ji's subordinates from suddenly appearing and interrupting their healing, and also to give the two of them some space so as not to say anything more awkward.

The divine spear possessed by Wei Yu hovered to the side, its golden light shimmering slightly, echoing the seven-colored halo of the crystal core. It seemed to be protecting Luo, or sensing the surrounding movements and being vigilant against potential dangers.

Time passed slowly, and the seven-colored halo of the crystal core dimmed slightly. Clearly, healing Luo had consumed a lot of energy. However, Luo's complexion had improved a lot. He was no longer as pale as paper, and a trace of color had returned to his eyes. His breathing had also become much more steady.

"Alright, let's focus on restoring these areas first. We can take care of the rest after we leave this place."

Lancelot slowly withdrew his hand, ceasing the energy output. The light from the crystal core in his palm gradually dimmed. He looked at Luo, his tone calm, yet unable to conceal the concern in his eyes.

Luo slowly opened her eyes, nodded, and tried to move her hands and feet. Although she was still a little weak, she could walk normally and was no longer as unsteady as before. She nodded slightly to Lancelot and said softly, "Thank you."

The two simple words, tinged with a hint of distance, broke the awkwardness between the two. Upon hearing this, a warmth flashed in Lancelot's eyes, and he gently shook his head: "No need."

"Alright, alright, the healing's finished, let's go!" Karen spoke again, this time wiser, avoiding anything embarrassing, though her expression remained urgent. "This is Xue Ji's territory. Every second we stay increases the danger. If we're surrounded by Xue Ji's people, we'll be in trouble!"

Yue Gui nodded, his expression grave, and echoed, "That's right. Xue Ji's high-ranking subordinates were just defeated by Sabella. Someone may have already sent a message to Xue Ji. We must leave the dungeon as soon as possible, find Sabella, and then reunite to escape the God Realm."

Upon hearing the name "Sabella," Luo's eyes instantly lit up with urgency. He grabbed Yue Gui's arm and hurriedly asked, "How is Sabella? Is she alright?"

"Don't worry, Sabella is fine," Yue Gui quickly reassured her. "We sensed her presence earlier. She must have defeated Xue Ji's subordinates and is looking for us. If we go to find her now, we should be able to reunite soon."

Hearing that Sabella was alright, Luo's heart finally eased a little, but the worry in her eyes still lingered. She knew that Xue Ji would not let Sabella off easily, and as long as Sabella had not escaped the realm of gods, she would not be safe.

"Let's go, let's go find Sabella quickly," Luo said urgently, his steps quickening. His originally weak body seemed to have gained strength because of his worry for his daughter.

Without further delay, Lancelot put away the crystal core and walked at the front, cautiously surveying the surroundings. Yue Gui and Karen followed on either side, protecting Lancelot. The divine spear possessed by Wei Yu hovered in front of Lancelot, ready to deal with any emergencies.

The group walked quickly out of the cell. The dungeon was still dark and damp, and water droplets were still dripping from the stone walls. In the deathly silent passage, only the sound of their footsteps could be heard, clear and hurried.

Along the way, they encountered several groups of low-level goddess guards. These guards were sent by Xue Ji to patrol, and their strength was not particularly formidable. Lancelot casually released a few spells, and Yue Gui and Karen cooperated to quickly defeat these guards without wasting too much time.

Luo followed behind the group, walking quickly while keeping an eye on her surroundings. She was still worried about Sabella and longed to see her daughter as soon as possible.

Lancelot walked at the front, occasionally turning back to look at Lo and check on her condition, his concern in his eyes hard to conceal. At the same time, he was also keeping an eye on Sabella's presence, his crystal core trembling slightly as he followed the energy to search for Sabella's trail.

Yue Gui and Karen remained vigilant. Although Karen was somewhat oblivious, she was extremely careful in combat and on guard, constantly scanning both sides of the passage to prevent any sudden attacks from the guards.

Just as the group was about to walk out of the dungeon passage and reach the dungeon entrance, a dazzling golden-white spear light suddenly pierced through from outside the dungeon!

"boom--!!!"

The spear's power was immense, carrying the rich laws of metal and the power of the goddess. It instantly pierced through the stone walls of the dungeon passage, sending shards of stone flying and dust billowing everywhere. The powerful impact swept towards the group, causing them to stop in their tracks and assume defensive stances.

"Who?!"

Lancelot gave a low shout, and the crystal core in his palm lit up again, with a seven-colored halo surging, forming a defensive barrier in front of everyone to resist the impact. At the same time, his eyes were fixed on the direction from which the spear light came, his expression solemn.

Yue Gui gripped his divine spear tightly, his expression wary, thinking that Xue Ji's subordinates had caught up with them and was ready to attack at any moment. Karen also gathered the power within her body, her nerves taut, not daring to relax in the slightest.

A sense of tension rose in Luo's heart, and he subconsciously clenched his fists, worried that Xue Ji had come in person, and even more worried about Sabella's safety.

As the smoke and dust gradually dissipated, a slender yet upright figure slowly emerged from the hole in the stone wall. Surrounded by a halo of interwoven gold and white light, she held a dazzling golden divine spear, the very spear that Wei Yu had possessed. She still carried a trace of fatigue from the battle, yet her aura remained powerful and her eyes were resolute.

When she saw the figure's face, Luo's body stiffened abruptly, a surge of wild joy instantly appearing in her eyes. All her tension and worry transformed into excitement, and she couldn't help but shout in a trembling voice, "Sabera!"

The person who arrived was none other than Sabella!

Sabella had just defeated another high-ranking subordinate sent by Yuki. Following her mother Luo's scent, she found her way to the dungeon. Worried that her mother was in danger, she swung her spear and pierced through the stone wall. Unexpectedly, she actually saw her mother there.

Hearing her mother's call, Sabella's eyes instantly welled up with tears, and her aura softened. She quickly ran towards Luo, casually putting away the divine spear in her hand, her voice urgent and excited: "Mother! I've finally found you! How are you? Are you hurt?"

Luo hurried forward, and Sabella immediately reached out to support her mother, carefully examining her appearance. Seeing that her mother's face was still somewhat pale, and there was dust and blood on her clothes, her eyes were filled with heartache: "Mother, you've suffered!"

"I'm fine," Luo shook her head, holding her daughter's hand, her eyes filled with relief and heartache. "As long as you're alright, as long as you're alright, that's all that matters."

The mother and daughter's reunion was filled with warmth, temporarily easing the chill and danger of the dungeon, and also alleviating the tension in everyone's hearts. (Because Sabella has been resurrected, merging with the memories of the goddess from her previous life.)

Sabella helped her mother to calm down before turning to look at Karen and Yuegui. Upon seeing them, her excitement intensified, and she couldn't help but exclaim, "Captain! Yuegui! What brings you here?"

She had only sensed her mother's presence before, but unexpectedly, Karen and Yue Gui also came, which instantly gave her more confidence.

Karen looked at Sabella, grinned, and said in a cheerful tone, "Of course we're here to rescue you and Luo! As soon as we learned you'd been captured by Xue Ji and brought to the God Realm, we immediately found a way to get there and rushed over!"

Yue Gui looked at Sabella, nodded, and said with a solemn expression, "Xue Ji's power is too strong. We can't stay here any longer. Let's leave quickly. It's not safe here. Xue Ji's subordinates might arrive soon."

"Okay!" Sabella nodded immediately, her expression becoming serious. "I've already scouted the escape route before I came. This way, it's more concealed and can avoid Yuki's patrols. Let's leave the dungeon as soon as possible and head to the border of the God Realm. The spatial fluctuations there are weaker, so we can try to open a spatial passage and return to the human world."

After saying that, Sabella helped her mother and turned to walk towards the other side of the passage, pointing out the way to the others as she went: "Follow me, move quickly, and try not to make too much noise so as not to be discovered by the guards."

Everyone immediately followed, with Lancelot still walking at the front, cautiously checking the surroundings. Yue Gui and Karen followed behind, protecting the mother and daughter. Wei Yu's divine spear hovered in the middle of the group, ready to deal with any emergencies.

As Sabella helped her mother walk briskly, she couldn't help but turn her head curiously to look at Lancelot, who was walking at the front.

Who is that man?

She had been so focused on reuniting with her mother and the captain that she hadn't paid much attention. Now that she had calmed down, she realized that this unfamiliar man exuded a strong aura of holiness, as well as a trace of familiar world primordial power, which subtly resonated with the aura emanating from her mother.

What puzzled her even more was that, looking at the man's back, she felt an extremely subtle feeling welling up inside her. It was familiar and intimate, and she inexplicably wanted to get closer to him, as if there was some kind of innate bond between them. She herself could not explain this feeling.

She couldn't help but glance at Lancelot a few more times, her eyes filled with doubt and curiosity. She wanted to ask him a question, but because she was eager to escape, she temporarily suppressed the questions in her heart.

Lancelot, who was walking at the front, seemed to notice Sabella's gaze. He paused slightly, slowly turned his head, and looked at Sabella.

When his gaze fell on Sabella's face, a complex emotion instantly welled up in Lancelot's eyes: guilt, concern, relief, and a touch of tenderness that he himself was unaware of.

This is his daughter, Sabella.

He was never there for her as she grew up, and he didn't even know she existed after she was born. He made her and her mother suffer so much, being imprisoned and hunted down by Yukihime. He felt deeply indebted to her.

But seeing how strong and powerful she is now, able to stand on her own and even defeat Yuki's high-ranking subordinates, Lancelot felt a sense of relief. At least, she was not defeated by hardship, at least, she was strong enough to protect herself and her mother.

Lancelot looked at Sabella with a complicated expression. He didn't speak, but simply nodded slightly. Then he turned back and continued walking ahead, quickening his pace. At the same time, he became even more vigilant, scanning the surroundings, wanting to lead everyone away from this dangerous place as soon as possible.

Luo walked in the middle, supported by Sabella. She took in the interaction between Sabella and Lancelot, and saw the curiosity in her daughter's eyes and the complexity and concern in Lancelot's eyes. Her lips twitched, but in the end, she said nothing.

Sabella's background is too complicated, and the entanglements are too heavy. She doesn't want her daughter to bear these things too early. At least, she wants to wait until everyone escapes the realm of gods and gets rid of Xue Ji's pursuit before slowly telling her everything.

At this moment, the most important thing is to leave the dungeon as soon as possible, escape Yuki's control, and ensure everyone's safety.

The group quickened their pace, following the route Sabella had indicated, swiftly traversing the dungeon passages. Their steps were light, trying not to make too much noise, and they cautiously avoided the patrolling guards around them.

The passage became narrower and more secluded, and the chilling atmosphere in the air gradually weakened, replaced by a sense of sacredness from the outside world. Clearly, they were getting closer and closer to the dungeon exit.

As Sabella walked, she whispered a reminder to the others: "The side door of the dungeon is just ahead. There are fewer guards there. If we go out through the side door, we can reach the outer edge of the divine realm. Once we get to the outer edge, we'll be much safer."

Lancelot nodded, slowed his pace, and cautiously surveyed the area ahead. After confirming that there were no guards patrolling, he gestured for everyone to be quiet, signaling them to speed up.

Yue Gui and Karen were also on edge, their eyes constantly scanning their surroundings, ready to deal with any unexpected situation. Luo, supported by Sabella, quickened her pace, her heart filled with urgency, wanting only to escape this place that had imprisoned her for so long as soon as possible, and to take her daughter away from danger.

The divine spear possessed by Wei Yu shimmered with golden light, sensing the surrounding aura. It did not detect any trace of Xue Ji's high-ranking subordinates, only the auras of a few low-ranking guards, who were still quite far away and posed no immediate danger.

The group sped along, not daring to stop for a moment. The stone walls on both sides of the passage rushed past them. The sounds of footsteps and breathing were particularly clear in the narrow passage, yet they carried a sense of urgency and tension.

Soon, a faint light appeared ahead, pointing towards the side door of the dungeon. A hint of joy flashed in Sabella's eyes, and she whispered, "Almost there! Everyone, keep pushing!"

Upon hearing this, everyone quickened their pace and rushed towards the light. Lancelot was at the front, reaching the side door first. After confirming that there were no guards around, he pushed the side door open.

The light from outside flooded into the passageway, almost blindingly so. Everyone squinted instinctively, and after a moment of adjustment, they walked out of the side door and onto the open ground outside the dungeon.

This is the outer edge of the divine realm. The clouds and mist are much thinner than near the dungeon. The golden light from the sky can penetrate the clouds and fall on the ground. The sacred aura in the air is also richer, no longer as cold and oppressive as it was in the dungeon.

"We must leave here quickly and head to the border of the divine realm!" Sabella said urgently to the group, supporting Luo. "Yukihime will soon find out about our reunion, and she might even take action herself. We must reach the border and open the spatial passage before she arrives!"

Lancelot nodded and said in a deep voice, "I'll lead the way. You follow behind me and try to avoid the patrolling guards!"

After saying that, Lancelot took the lead and sped off towards the border of the divine realm. The crystal core in his palm lit up slightly, releasing a faint energy as he probed the surroundings and avoided Yuki's patrols.

Sabella supported her mother and followed closely behind, with Yue Gui and Karen trailing behind to protect the mother and daughter. Wei Yu's divine spear hovered above the group, shimmering with golden light, ready to deal with any emergencies.

The figures of the group transformed into afterimages, quickly traversing the clouds and mist of the divine realm, fleeing rapidly towards the border without daring to linger. The dungeon behind them gradually disappeared from sight, but the vigilance in their hearts did not diminish in the slightest.

They all knew that this was only the beginning of their escape. Yukihime was incredibly powerful and would never let them go easily. An even more difficult chase and contest awaited them.

Supported by Sabella, Luo sped along, glancing back at the direction behind her. A complex emotion flickered in her eyes: a sense of relief about the past, concern for her daughter, and confusion about the figure beside her. Then, she looked away without hesitation and followed the others, running quickly forward.

Sabella continued to support her mother, her steps hurried. At the same time, she couldn't help but glance at Lancelot, who was walking in front of her from time to time. The doubts in her heart and that inexplicable sense of closeness grew stronger and stronger. She secretly made up her mind that once they escaped the danger, she must find out who that man was and what kind of bond she had with him.

Lancelot walked at the front, always on guard, occasionally turning back to check on everyone's condition. He couldn't hide the concern in his eyes when he looked at Lo and Sabella. He gripped the crystal core in his palm, with only one thought in his mind: he had to protect the mother and daughter and lead everyone to escape the realm of gods and break free from Yuki's control.

Yue Gui and Karen remained on edge, vigilantly scanning their surroundings. The two worked in perfect harmony, always ready to deal with any unexpected situations, protecting everyone and ensuring that they could successfully reach the border of the divine realm, open the spatial passage, and return to the human world.

In the misty realm of the gods, several figures sped swiftly towards the border, desperately fleeing. Sunlight pierced through the clouds, casting a golden halo upon them, as if draping them in protective armor and illuminating their escape route.

But just when everyone thought they were about to succeed, a voice rang out, "You guys really won't give up."
