Chapter 5 The Sutra of No Form
Upon entering the suite, the men in black noticed that it had two rooms. The leader of the men in black then gestured to the man in black who was unlocking the door, instructing him to open the door to one of the rooms.
The skilled lock-picker understood and approached Shen Mo's room. After a series of fluid movements, the door was gently opened. The hinges creaked softly before being swallowed by the night.
Then the leader of the men in black gestured to another man in black to go in and check if it was Luo Wangchen. He then instructed the man in black who was picking the lock to open the door to another room.
The man in black who entered Shen Mo's room hesitated for a moment when he saw that the room was tidy and there was no one on the bed. After looking around and confirming that there was no sign of anyone hiding, he turned to leave.
At the same moment, through the crack under the bed, Shen Mo saw the black-clad man's feet and the tip of the sword hanging to the ground in his hand. He tensed even more, not daring to blink, his heart filled with anxiety. This was the most dangerous moment of Shen Mo's life. His heart was pounding in his chest, and every second felt incredibly long, as if time had stopped.
The man in black seemed to sense something amiss, stopping in his tracks and looking down. Shen Mo felt as if the man's gaze pierced through the bed, striking him directly. He dared not move, even holding his breath, terrified of being discovered.
Time seemed to freeze, and only the breathing and heartbeat of the man in black could be heard in the room. Fine beads of sweat appeared on Shen Mo's forehead, but he dared not wipe them away, and could only endure the discomfort and continue to hold his breath.
Finally, the man in black, seemingly having noticed nothing amiss, turned and left the room. Shen Mo heard the door close softly and breathed a sigh of relief, but remained vigilant.
At this moment, another man in black pried open Luo Wangchen's room door, and the leader signaled his men to enter and search the room. Luo Wangchen sensed the tense atmosphere around him, but he remained calm, waiting for the best opportunity to counterattack.
The man in black cautiously approached Luo Wangchen's bedside, and after confirming that it was indeed Luo Wangchen lying on the bed, he immediately swung his knife down.
At this critical moment, Luo Wangchen suddenly opened his eyes, flipped over and leaped up, his long sword already drawn. With a flash of cold light, the black-clad man who was about to attack was immediately beheaded, his blood splattering on the white sheets, creating a stark contrast.
Seeing this, the other men in black immediately surrounded Luo Wangchen, but none of them dared to step forward. Their eyes were filled with fear, clearly intimidated by Luo Wangchen's strength and his decisive, ruthless aura.
"What brings you gentlemen here so late at night?" Luo Wangchen asked in a deep voice, wiping the bloodstains from his sword with the bedding on the bed, his eyes revealing a chilling aura. His voice was exceptionally clear in the quiet night, each word seemingly carrying an irresistible force.
The men in black exchanged glances, seemingly assessing the strength of the middle-aged swordsman before them. The leader finally spoke, his voice laced with threat: "Luo Wangchen, do you still remember the *Wu Xiang Jing* you stole from my Black Wind Gang's headquarters three months ago? If you hand it over now, perhaps you'll be left with a whole corpse."
The middle-aged swordsman let out a long sigh, his expression immediately turning sharp, his tone filled with determination: "The *Wu Xiang Jing* was originally written by the Fist Saint Yu Tiancheng a hundred years ago. Before his death, the great hero Yu Tiancheng gifted this internal energy manual to my sworn brother's father, hoping it would be passed down to future generations. However, your gang leader coveted this martial arts manual and wanted to possess it for himself. Just four months ago, your gang leader murdered my sworn brother and his entire family of three, stealing this manual. And now, how dare you claim that the *Wu Xiang Jing* belongs to your Black Wind Gang!"
"Enough with the nonsense. We have no say in the gang leader's affairs. We are just following orders. If you know what's good for you, hand over the 'Formless Sutra' now, or you won't leave here alive!" After the leader of the men in black finished speaking, he signaled the others in black to launch an attack.
Luo Wangchen's eyes sharpened, and he brandished his longsword, the tip drawing a silver arc in the air. He said in a deep voice, "Since that's the case, then don't blame me for being impolite."
As soon as he finished speaking, the men in black immediately swarmed him. Luo Wangchen moved with the agility of a hawk, his sword flashing and radiating a cold light. The men in black swung their blades at Luo Wangchen, but he skillfully deflected them all. Each time his sword swept past, it was accompanied by a painful cry from one of the men in black; they realized they couldn't get close at all.
Hearing the clash of swords from the next room, Shen Mo immediately crawled out from under the bed. He looked around, his gaze finally settling on a broom in the corner. Without hesitation, he grabbed the broom and rushed out of his room. At that moment, Shen Mo's mind was filled with thoughts of his master's safety; he had completely forgotten that he knew no martial arts.
"Master, I'm here!" Shen Mo shouted, his voice echoing in the silent corridor. The men in black were startled by the sound and immediately turned to look at its source. They saw a young man carrying a broom rush in, his eyes filled with determination and courage.
Taking advantage of the moment when the men in black were stunned, Shen Mo immediately found an opening and rushed over, quickly standing next to Luo Wangchen.
Looking at the men in black around him, he gripped the broom tightly. Although his palms were sweating, there was no sign of retreat in his eyes.
Luo Wangchen frowned slightly as he saw Shen Mo appear: "Shen Mo, why did you come here? The situation is critical right now. You need to find a chance to escape later."
Shen Mo gripped the broom tightly, shook his head, and replied with a firm look in his eyes, "Master, I won't hold you back."
Seeing this, the men in black exchanged glances, seemingly considering how to respond. The leader of the men in black sneered and said, "Where did this brat come from? Don't think you can save your life just because you have a broom. If you know what's good for you, get out of here."
Shen Mo did not back down; instead, he stood even more firmly by Luo Wangchen's side.
Luo Wangchen was secretly pleased. Although this young man had not yet learned martial arts, his courage was commendable. It seemed that he had made the right choice in taking on this disciple on a whim.
Immediately, Luo Wangchen said with a hint of sternness, "Shen Mo, step back first, I will handle them."
Shen Mo nodded, but still gripped the broom tightly, ready to support his master at any time.
Seeing this, Luo Wangchen knew Shen Mo's determination, so he said no more and instead focused on dealing with the enemy in front of him.
Under the command of their leader, the men in black immediately launched another attack.
During the fight, Luo Wangchen wielded his sword like the wind, each strike accurately hitting the enemy's vitals. The sword flashed like a shooting star across the night sky, each swift movement accompanied by the screams of the men in black. Watching Luo Wangchen's skill in fighting multiple opponents, Shen Mo's eyes were filled with admiration, and his heart overflowed with respect for his master.
As the battle progressed, the men in black had suffered heavy casualties and were gradually losing ground. Seeing the situation was dire, the leader of the men in black shouted, "Retreat!"
However, the men in black couldn't simply scatter in this small room. Seeing this, Luo Wangchen immediately used his footwork to relentlessly pursue the men in black who were running towards the door, defeating them one by one. Like a cheetah, he moved nimbly through the confined space, each movement perfectly blocking the men in black's escape route.
Shen Mo stood aside, watching Luo Wangchen's every move and silently memorizing his exquisite footwork and sword techniques.
Luo Wangchen moved with the agility of a hawk, his sword flashing and radiating a chilling light. The sword and saber lights intertwined, each collision producing a crisp metallic sound and sparks flying.
