Li Bo is very serious when he works and doesn't pay much attention to time, so he only feels backache and neck pain after each workday.

After Uncle Zeng left, Li Bo buried himself in his work for more than half an hour. After Uncle Zeng finished eating, he came back to deliver a document. Li Bo was still in the president's office, rubbing his neck with one hand, looking at the computer. Under his gold-rimmed glasses, there were obvious red blood vessels in Li Bo's eyes.

"Mr. Bo, have you eaten?"

"I ate," Li Bo replied dismissively.

This was just a casual remark he made to save time on meals and avoid bothering others by having food delivered and disrupting his work. Even on something as simple and mundane as eating, Li Bo would lie.

Lying has become a part of Li Bo's life.

Uncle Zeng ate downstairs and didn't see Li Bo come down. Of course, he knew that Li Bo hadn't eaten. But he didn't understand that Li Bo's desire to settle down in Zhihuai was not something that could be done overnight. It couldn't be rushed and required a gradual approach.

Some things, if you seize them too hastily or are too greedy, will backfire.

Uncle Zeng is getting old, and he always adheres to the saying: health is the most important thing.

Li Bo is still young, there's no need to rush. Why rush?

There was no need for Li Bo to be in such a hurry, as Zhou Yanshao was standing behind him.

Uncle Zeng reminded him, "President Bo, please take care of your health."

"Okay, put the documents down."

Li Bo dismissed Zeng Shu, and Zeng Shu left. He took the elevator downstairs to buy some eye drops and lunch nearby. Just as he reached the building where the company was located, he ran into Zhou Yanshao.

"Young Master," Uncle Zeng said respectfully.

"Hmm." Zhou Yanshao glanced at the lunch in Uncle Zeng's hand, a single serving, and said indifferently, "No need to send it up."

Zhou Yanshao brought over lunch and ate with Li Bo.

Uncle Zeng nodded, pressed the elevator button for Zhou Yanshao, and they didn't go up together.

Zhou Yanshao carried lunch and entered Li Bo's office without knocking. He walked quickly to Li Bo's desk, but Li Bo didn't even lift his eyelids, scrolling through his computer screen with the mouse.

Zhou Yanshao placed his lunch on the table and said, "Eat!"

Princess Zhou's voice was loud and fierce. She told Li Bo to go back to Xizi Bay for dinner and not come back. She even had to personally escort him to Huailai and watch him eat.

Li Bo paused for a second, then looked up and saw Zhou Yanshao with silver-white tousled hair, wearing sportswear and a black baseball cap.

"Why did you get here?"

"If you don't come over, you're not going to eat?"

"I've eaten it..."

"Eat again!" Zhou Yanshao said forcefully, opening the insulated container and lunchbox, muttering, "Eat my ass, all you know is lying."

Looking at the delicious-looking food in front of him, Li Bo finally realized he was hungry. Since Zhou Yanshao's hands were injured, Li Bo got up and brought over a chair so they could sit down and eat together.

During the meal, Zhou Yanshao put food into Li Bo's bowl, scolding him as he did so: "Eight-year-olds know to eat when they're hungry, but you don't! I'm not in the capital, but it's obvious you often skip meals!"

"I was too busy and forgot."

Stop making excuses. I'll schedule a gastroscopy for you tomorrow.

"Need not……"

Zhou Yanshao glared at him, meaning: I'm not discussing this with you, you have to listen to me now.

Li Bo nodded and compromised.

Uncle Zeng poured in two cups of hot water, put down the eye drops, and as Zhou Yanshao was about to drink, Li Bo frowned, reached out, and subtly knocked the water out of Zhou Yanshao's hand.

Li Bo took out a tissue to wipe it, then got up and personally poured Zhou Yanshao a glass of water.

Li Bo couldn't let Zhou Yanshao drink anything offered by anyone.

Wan Tongzhi didn't die of illness, but from a slow-acting poison, as did Zhou Huiyuan.

The power struggle between the Zhou family and Zhihuai is like a seemingly calm sea, but in reality, it is turbulent and full of hidden dangers. A slight misstep can sweep a person into the giant waves, leaving not even bones behind.

There are some things that Li Bo can eat but Zhou Yanshao cannot.

Li Bo could not live, but Zhou Yanshao could.

Li Bo returned with hot water; the dishes in the bowl had already been piled up.

Li Bo: "………"

Zhou Yanshao: "What are you looking at? Hurry up and eat."

Li Bo ate a lot for lunch. He tidied up his lunchbox and put it aside, then looked at Zhou Yanshao's hand: "Did you change the dressing?"

"I forgot," Zhou Yanshao said casually.

"I'll have the doctor come over," Li Bo said, about to make a phone call.

Zhou Yanshao: "No need, I'll go back now."

Li Bo put down his phone. "Don't forget about changing the dressing. I'll call the doctor later and have him remind you on time."

"Couldn't you remind me?" Zhou Yanshao was a little annoyed. How could he not remember to change the dressing? It was because Li Bo wasn't going back to Xiziwan for dinner, so he was in a hurry to bring the food over. Li Bo had been prone to stomach aches since high school.

"Okay, I'll remind you next time."

Zhou Yanshao seemed a little satisfied, then frowned and asked, "Nothing else you want to say?"

Li Bo paused, then quickly recalled the intimate phone call he'd made that morning. A pang of pain welled up inside him, but he suppressed it and smiled, "No."

"Li Bo!"

"What's wrong?" Li Bo asked in a flat tone.

"You're not going back to Xiziwan for dinner, is that because...?"

Li Bo looked up, saw Zhou Yanshao's eyes, and smiled: "No, you have your own social circle."

Zhou Yanshao has his own circle, and Li Bo stands inside that circle, slowly moving outwards and retreating, unable to cross the boundary.

This was Li Bo's rational action, but the deep pain in his heart made him feel like he was suffocating.

Li Bo liked Zhou Yanshao, more than just liked him, but he could only calmly watch Zhou Yanshao interact with others. He and Zhou Yanshao were not from the same world, and never would be.

In Li Bo's eyes, there was an endless sea, without waves, utterly still.

Zhou Yanshao encountered Li Bo's coldness.

Li Bo reached out, trying to coax him, but Zhou Yanshao dodged his hand.

Li Bo took a step forward: "Alright, I'm saying you have your own life. You'll make new friends in Northern Europe, and I'll make friends in Beijing. It's nothing."

"You're not allowed to have any new friends," Zhou Yanshao said. "You should stick with whoever treats you well."

During his two years in Northern Europe, Zhou Yanshao was always worried.

Li Bo isn't replying to messages, so he probably has new people, new friends, or maybe... a lover.

Li Bo has never been cared for or received much kindness, and he is too easily fond of others.

In the entire capital, only Zhou Yanshao would believe that an old fox like Li Bo would be lured away by someone's petty favors.

Before Li Bo confessed his feelings at his birthday party, Zhou Yanshao was unaware of his own emotions, nor did he feel that he was particularly good to Li Bo. In his view, Li Bo's feelings came too suddenly and too quickly...

He is difficult to catch and very frightening.

Zhou Yanshao was afraid that Li Bo would do the same to others.

He often felt that he wasn't good enough to Li Bo and could have been better. Li Bo hadn't yet enjoyed his kindness, so what if he was easily moved by someone else's kindness?

So even though Li Bo didn't reply to his messages, he was very angry, but he suppressed his temper and kept sending Li Bo messages, wanting to care about Li Bo, wanting to tell Li Bo what true goodness is, and not wanting Li Bo to easily fall in love with someone else.

But this relationship seems to have ended before it even began.

Li Bo didn't want him, nor did he accept his kindness.
