The maze was built starting with the mother skeleton replenishing its magic.

Glenn carefully groped his way forward, hugging the wall.

Given the Skeleton King's nature, there's no way a place with a treasure chest wouldn't have a trap.

At the corner, Glenn slowly poked his head out. Just like the first time, a skeleton was crouching at the corner, now raising a large hammer, ready to smash down.

The man and the skeleton stared at each other for a moment, an awkward silence filling the air.

The skeleton put down its hammer, scratched its skull with some embarrassment, and looked as if it had been caught.

Glenn then focused his attention on the treasure chest, turned around and exchanged glances with his teammates behind him, and slowly raised the treasure chest.

This treasure chest appears to be made of stone; it feels quite heavy.

Glenn opened the treasure chest a crack and peered inside through the light.

A skeleton holding a hammer lies inside the treasure chest, ready to rise and deliver a blow to the head of any adventurer who opens it.

After making eye contact with Glenn, the skeleton seemed to freeze for a moment as if its brain had crashed, before finally scratching its skull at him with an embarrassed look that said, "You've caught me."

"Snap—"

Glenn slammed the treasure chest shut.

He walked out expressionlessly and said to his teammates, "There's nothing in the treasure chest."

The Skeleton King was definitely up to no good!

Seeing Glenn walk away without looking back, the remaining three teammates looked at each other in confusion and then followed him.

"Really, there's nothing there?" Nia stepped forward and hugged Glenn's arm, asking curiously.

"No," Glenn said firmly, immediately changing the subject, "Have you found any intelligence yet?"

Seth, the eldest and most experienced adventurer among the four, stood with his arms crossed, his expression remaining calm throughout.

"So far, apart from the initial skeleton hound, we haven't encountered a single monster, which is very unusual."

That's the best-case scenario, Glenn thought.

Just as he was about to say something, his expression suddenly hardened as he stared straight ahead.

The other three also stopped joking around and instantly became alert.

Before them stood several underground wolves that had emerged from a recessed room in the wall, baring their teeth at the four of them.

Wolf?

Glenn was surprised.

He didn't have any wolf colleagues while he was still in the maze, and clearly, the other side didn't consider Glenn a friend either.

It's estimated that the Skeleton King obtained it from the portal during the time he was away.

"Prepare for battle!"

The lead subterranean wolf leaped high into the air and attacked Glenn. Just as it was about to bite his arm, the shield pressed against his face.

Glenn suddenly lowered his body, behind him Seth and Nia were already prepared for this moment.

A fireball and a flaming arrow flew straight towards the underground wolf. After a howl, it crashed heavily to the ground, its white fur charred, and it could no longer move.

"That's it!" Glenn shouted. "Keep going!"

The subterranean wolf is a level 20 monster, not much different from Glenn's team, but it is far inferior to them in terms of class complementarity and teamwork.

Even with only three people, Nolan was trembling and holding his head in fear the whole time, and he managed to clear out these underground wolves.

This was their first victory in the Kru Labyrinth, which naturally boosted their confidence significantly.

"How's the consumption?"

While cleaning up the battlefield, Glenn inquired about his teammates' condition.

After collecting all the arrows, Seth had 17 left, and Nia had about half of her magic power left. In this state, they probably couldn't go any further.

Glenn could go deep into the maze by himself, or rather, that would be easier.

But I don't know how to create such an opportunity.

"There are monsters ahead!"

But Glenn could immediately recognize that the most special one in front of him was the kind-hearted Mr. Skeleton.

"Just a skeleton, the lowest-ranking monster among the undead."

As Seth spoke, he nocked an arrow and casually shot it.

Seemingly anticipating Seth's move, Glenn almost shouted in advance, while leaping up with all his might to try and block the arrow.

But in the end, he was still no faster than the arrow that Seth shot.

The arrow shot straight toward the distant skeleton, but collided with an oncoming arrow in mid-air, both changing course and embedding themselves in the walls to the left and right.

Seth looked at Glenn with surprise, not understanding why Glenn would risk his body to block the arrow and stop him from attacking the skeleton.

Looking up again, the skeleton in the distance had already raised its hands and run away.

Immediately afterwards, a large number of skeletons emerged from the shadows of the corridor ahead, led by a skeleton holding a bow and arrow, with green soul flames flickering in its eyes.

"What's going on?! How come so many monsters have suddenly appeared?!"

Everyone except Glenn immediately went on alert.

Only Glenn gritted his teeth, sweat dripping from his forehead to his jaw.

Most of the skeletons in the Kru Labyrinth are friendly, provided that adventurers do not attack them.

Now Seth has not only attacked the skeleton, but he has even attacked the skeleton whose prestige in the entire maze is second only to the Skeleton King.

The Skeleton Instructor has now led a large force out to fight his way out.

The situation is out of control.

"Run!" Glenn drew his longsword and stood in front of the three. "Go and rejoin the other adventurers. I'll hold them off!"

"What are you talking about!" Nia rushed to Glenn's side, looking displeased. "How could we possibly abandon you and run away alone, especially since it's just a skeleton?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Glenn pushed him behind him.

He looked at Seth with a serious expression: "Uncle Seth, please take them and escape."

"Is it that serious?" Seth pondered. "Do you know something?"

"The skeletons in this maze are taboo; we absolutely mustn't attack them." Glenn took a deep breath. "Please, Uncle Seth."

"I see."

Seth nodded, gave Glenn a deep look, and said, "Sorry."

Then, he hoisted Nia onto his right shoulder and supported Nolan with his left, and started running back the way they came.

Glenn felt a little relieved only when he heard Nia's struggling cries fading into the distance. He gripped his longsword and stared resolutely at the skeleton holding a bow and arrow.

"Even if you're an instructor, I won't let you through here."

Lance sat on the stone throne crafted using [Alchemy LV5], pondering his next move.

This is the deepest part of the labyrinth. Adventurers must defeat all sorts of monsters and overcome all sorts of traps in the corridor labyrinth to delve deeper into the ninth ring before they can reach Lance's room.

This is a room that resembles a palace, with steps leading up to Lance's throne.

If a second floor is to be developed, at least one floor master will be assigned to guard the room, and the theme of the second floor will also need to be considered.

Martin and Bone have recently reached the sixth level of the Starfall Maze.

During this period of training, Martin and Bone have reached level 30, and the average level of ordinary skeletons has also increased.

The only pity was that when Lance returned to the third floor to revive the phase lizard, the corpse could no longer be found.

It was probably eaten by underground wolves.
