As she pondered, she searched her mind for information about DM.

A profile picture pops up wearing a rabbit mask; the rabbit's eyes appear to be covered in a dark, indistinct mesh.

[This session's DM: Twelve Hours Arbitration Panel - 5 AM (Mao Shi)]

[Height 145cm, weight 60g, born at dawn, prefers quiet, and is fond of death.]

[Enthusiast of Sudoku, has a strict grasp of numbers; exceeding budget will result in utter destruction; sleeps with teeth showing; please do not disturb while sleeping, otherwise the front teeth will bite through the human skull; when awake, has a gentle and easy-going temperament.]

When I opened my eyes again, I was attacked on the face by a rabbit mask.

Her breath hitched; the fine dust-proof mesh in those dark, hollow rabbit eyes made her uncomfortable.

"Asleep?"

The table was very low, only slightly higher than the long table, drawing the attention of the other players, who were secretly worried for Su Mian.

Being noticed by DM right after arriving is quite "lucky".

Su Mian blinked her eyes, nodded, and after staring at her for a while, Mao Shi returned to the front of the long table.

I prefer quiet, so I don't need to talk.

The woman breathed a sigh of relief for her, patted her own belly, and looked towards the end of the long table.

"Welcome to this game, detectives."

"The mechanics of this game will be a little different. Since the king died at midnight last night at the ball, the witch is furious. Of course, that witch is me."

"Therefore, I suspect that you are all suspects in this case."

"A hunter, a cannery owner, a farmer, a tooth fairy, and the king's two beloved girls, the queen and the princess."

She didn't move an inch while she was speaking, perhaps because she was too lazy to move; she seemed to be stuck in one place.

"So in my anger, the spell failed, causing you all to lose your memories."

"In other words..."

She drawled out the last syllable, "In this instance, the killer doesn't know they are the killer."

The words were met with a commotion, but only Su Mian's eyes revealed a hint of excitement.

"Quiet down, you're being too noisy."

At the hour of Mao (5-7 AM), I pulled my ear off and cleaned it, but then it bounced back into place on its own.

"This world offers a high degree of freedom. Aside from the crime scene, you will need to find NPCs to obtain clues."

"We're using a card-drawing method to get more clues."

"Three cards will be given out every day. You can choose between skill cards and clue cards, but skill cards are not always useful, so choose carefully."

"Now, please choose whose clues you want."

After speaking at the hour of Mao, he slightly raised his head and looked at the people present. The players discussed among themselves, looking around.

Su Mian raised her hand, "I want mine."

For the first card, to be on the safe side, you can choose yourself. Firstly, so as not to offend anyone present, and secondly, so as not to violate your character setting.

Then, a red Ace landed in her palm. She didn't look at it and quietly put it away.

With one player taking the lead, the remaining players began asking for cards, but when the last person raised their hand, they pointed to Su Mian.

"I need clues about her."

The voice came from behind Su Mian. Su Mian froze and turned around abruptly.

The moment their eyes met, Su Mian's pupils contracted slightly, and her hands clenched almost imperceptibly.

Tian Nuan.

Tian Nuan didn't look at Su Mian. After taking the card, she gave a sweet smile to the shocked people present.

However, because she was the empress, her makeup was frighteningly heavy, with thick loose powder and dark blue eyeshadow on her eyelids, and few people dared to look her in the eye.

This sweet smile, however, appears to others as something akin to a witch.

Su Mian took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down.

Now, whenever she sees Tian Nuan, she thinks of Xiao Baige's death, which is really not a good thing. She doesn't know what kind of twisted fate has brought her together with Tian Nuan again.

"Alright, now start introducing yourselves. You have ten minutes. If you exceed the time limit, I'll make your skulls my dinner."

She jumped off the stool and kicked the hunter's chair with surprising force, almost knocking the player to the ground. Felix broke out in a cold sweat and scrambled to his feet.

Su Mian's eye twitched. Is this what you call a gentle personality?

"I am Felix, a hunter who lives in the Twilight Forest."

He looked weak and incompetent, never looked up when he spoke, and sat down immediately after finishing. The fat man next to him sprang up before she could even approach, flashing a businesslike smile.

"My name is Willow, and I own a cannery."

"Tooth Fairy, Pip."

Pip seized the opportunity and looked at Su Mian curiously. His appearance was somewhat similar to that of an elf in a fairy tale, with long and pointed ears.

His neck is very long and makes up a large proportion of his body. It gets thinner towards his head, and at first glance, it seems like it can't support his head. He looks to be over 1.9 meters tall.

His proportions were off; he was as thin as a bamboo pole.

His back was slightly hunched, and his front teeth were exposed, somewhat resembling Mao Shi (5-7 AM). DM seemed to have some affection for him, and nodded at him after speaking.

"I...I am Luna, and I am a farmer."

The woman stood up, supporting her belly, bowed several times, and then sat down again.

Su Mian: "My name is Elizabeth, the King's daughter."

Tian Nuan: "My name is Melissa, the King's wife."

"Alright! That concludes my self-introduction."

As the time for leaving get off work approached 5 a.m., my mood was unusually high.

"Starting yesterday, the palace will be holding a ball every night."

"The nightingale will choose the best performer at the ball and give her the red ballet shoes."

"Anyone can own red dancing shoes, regardless of age or gender. They represent the highest honor and are a symbol of dazzling charm."

The players present looked puzzled.

Why are they fighting over those red dancing shoes? Wouldn't it be better to just find the culprit?

However, they were not given a chance to raise any questions at the hour of Mao (5-7 AM).

He yawned, magically pulled a hat from his pocket, snapped his fingers, stuffed himself inside, and disappeared from the scene.

After watching for a while, the players dispersed. As they were leaving, Tian Nuan suddenly bumped into Su Mian's shoulder, turned around, covered her face with her fan, and stared at her with a sinister look.

That look seemed to say, "I won't let you get away with this."

A servant stepped forward, smiling at Su Mian, "Where would Your Highness like to go?"

Su Mian thought for a moment and then said, "Take me to the ballroom."

The maid nodded, and Su Mian quickly glanced at the card as she walked, raising an eyebrow.

[You are incredibly ugly, yet you have a deep love for men. You gather countless handsome men from the city, imprison them in the palace, cruelly torture them, and condemn them to eternal damnation.]

……

……

She didn't know which sentence to read first, and eventually gave up. Just then, she looked up and saw a mirror nearby, so she quickly glanced at it.

The reflection in the mirror showed her face covered in red acne scars, thick and bushy eyebrows, and dark circles that made her look like a panda. If she hadn't been looking closely, she almost wouldn't have recognized her face.

Tian Nuan could tell that she was also a ruthless person.

Su Mian clicked her tongue in amazement and soon arrived at the crime scene.
