"Nice to meet you all."

This unexpected greeting was polite, with a slightly translator's accent.

It wasn't so much out of place as it was against the backdrop of the surrounding bloody and chaotic scene; rather, it was as if it had been thrown into a completely different context.

The three of them gathered together and cautiously looked in the direction of the sound.

"Squeak—"

Previously, to guard against the snake people's attack, the cave dwellers blocked the entrance to the cave, leaving only a few cellar-like entrances and exits.

The sound was coming from the entrance closest to them.

With a rough scraping sound, a large stone slab was pushed open from the inside, and two cave dwellers huffed and puffed as they carried something out.

The three of them could only see clearly after they turned around.

On the wooden pole they were carrying... there was a person strung on it!

The wrists and ankles were tightly bound to the ends of the wooden sticks. If the scene were changed to a campfire, it would look like a whole roasted lamb.

This way of making an entrance is really quite comical.

But the person being carried still had a polite smile on his face, completely oblivious to being a prisoner. After clearing his throat, he continued speaking in a dubbed accent:

"Nice to meet you again. I am Ethan Drake, contestant number 45 from Sunset Country. A peace-loving, and... well, temporarily serving as an ambassador for caveman cultural exchange."

As he said this, he swayed slightly.

It seemed like an instinctive urge to bow.

"My sequence is [Child of the Forest], which allows me to communicate with most intelligent terrestrial beings, such as these lovely underground neighbors..."

"They seemed a bit xenophobic, so I explained that I wasn't an intruder, which convinced them to 'escort' me here."

Ethan spoke earnestly and calmly.

...It was as if he wasn't tied to a pole, but rather sitting on a high-end sofa, chatting eloquently.

Throughout the entire process, Ren Yi watched him quietly without saying a word.

Ethan sighed inwardly.

He was in the Ocean Era before Renyi, so all his knowledge of Renyi came from communications with Blue Star about ten days ago.

Charles only said he was very righteous and a strongman whom Liddell greatly admired...

However, it did not specify what his temperament or personality was like.

Now, looking into any of his specimen-like eyes, Ethan felt he might have been fooled; this was definitely not an easy character to deal with!

[Haha, that's hilarious! This guy's really stubborn!]

[The main theme is elegance, even if it gets strung together (doge)]

[Big shot: I'll just quietly watch you put on a show.]

[Morrison probably still thinks this guy is a "connoisseur," hahaha.]

"Where is Morrison?" Ren Yi finally asked.

Hearing this question, Ethan secretly breathed a sigh of relief—

I'm not afraid of asking questions, I'm afraid of having nothing to ask.

He decided to be more honest and abandon those superficial arguments.

"This is a somewhat convoluted story..."

Ethan organized his thoughts and briefly recounted the whole story.

From the moment he and Sita were captured by Morrison's forces, to their encounter with the Naga after reaching land, and then to Morrison, a "Deepsea Barbarian," suddenly being able to understand the Naga language for some unknown reason.

"So he just wanted to use the Naga race; his real target was you, Renyi."

"Before I went to the west, Morrison and Elijah from the Honey Badger team said they were coming here to check things out, so they must be nearby now."

The makeshift shelters on the ground, made of sturdy wood, had already burned completely.

The remaining firelight cast flickering shadows on Ren Yi's face.

The intelligence Ethan brought almost confirmed all the suspicions.

Morrison's sudden ability to understand the Naga language is illogical, unless... someone has given him a language pack.

perhaps......

There was something similar to a Hydra helping him from behind.

I don't believe this was orchestrated by Hydra herself, for no other reason than—

The other side is clearly much more capable than Hydra.

Ethan interpreted the silence during his musings as a different kind of signal, and his heart began to pound.

The team assembled by the Dragon Kingdom contestants looked like an ironclad fortress, with even these cave dwellers completely obedient. If he wanted to kill him, there probably wouldn't be much of a chance.

"Mr. Arbitrary".

Ethan tried to sound more sincere. "I think I have some other uses."

"The [Children of the Forest] also have the ability to identify the properties of terrestrial plants, although only in a general sense."

"Um... could you put me down first?"

Ethan casually pulled himself out of his thoughts and waved at the two cavemen. The two cavemen immediately threw Ethan to the ground without any gentleness.

"Thump!"

"Ugh—"

With that jolt, Ethan groaned and almost threw up his dinner from the night before. But then he realized that he hadn't even had lunch yesterday, let alone dinner, and a wave of sadness washed over him.

Renyi crouched down, a flash of black light in his hand, and cut the ropes binding Ethan's hands and feet.

"Thank you..."

Ethan, now free, rubbed his numb wrists and slowly sat up from the ground.

"How many snake-men are lying in ambush to the east?"

Klaus asked impatiently.

This is their biggest concern right now; if the number is too large, they'll have to consider laying low.

"When I left..."

Ethan composed himself and recalled:

"There should be more than seventy snake people and one Naga left."

"In addition, there is another group of snake people led by the Naga to the south who were injured by your traps, but they are not dead yet."

In other words, including those who just escaped,

There are at least three Naga and a hundred Serpent People still around.

"south?"

Ivan chuckled. "I remember they threw a lot of exploding melons over there in the south. Those guys are living the good life!"

Exploding cantaloupe?

Is it a nickname for some new type of explosive weapon?

It sounds a bit casual...

Just as Ethan was filled with confusion, the stone slab at the entrance to the cave was pushed open again.

As soon as Dala Bengba saw Renyi, he started gesturing wildly:

"Hoo gu gua gua! Da la beng ba! Li gu lu..."

Klaus instantly wore a mask of pain.

It's that encrypted call again; I always have to guess what's going on.

Most importantly—he's the one who always does this job!

"cough."

Ethan coughed lightly:

"He said that the snake-men corpses from the western battlefield have all been moved to the designated location as you instructed."

"..."

"..."

The air suddenly grew hotter, and six pairs of eyes immediately focused intensely on Ethan.

Random was the first to move.

He stepped forward, a gentle smile on his face, and affectionately hooked his arm around Ethan's shoulder.

Then he pointed at Ethan towards Dala Bengba and gave him a thumbs up.

This is one of our own.

"Klaus, take Mr. Drake to rest... and also refine our map. Ivan, come with me."

Ethan watched as the guy with the oversized wrench walked toward him with shining eyes.

On the other side, Ivan followed behind Ren Yi, asking as he walked:

"Boss, where are we going?"

"...Go, go hunting. Finish today's work today."
