Yandere Erii, stop tormenting Lu Mingfei!

61. Lord Ai, which Ai are you referring to?!

The interior of the Roman-style palace is resplendent in gold.

Epstein was still wearing that blue velvet nightgown, sitting in a high-backed chair.

Three girls knelt before him, all dressed in sexy and alluring maid outfits that exposed their fair skin. They all wore iron collars around their necks, which were connected to heavy chains, the other end of which was firmly held in Epstein's hand.

The girls all had their heads down, their shoulders trembling slightly with fear.

The island has been quiet these past few days, since events and parties aren't held every day, so Epstein has plenty of time to chat with the pretty girls he's carefully selected.

"Don't be afraid," Epstein said in fluent Chinese, his voice gentle, like a kind old man coaxing a child. "It's not my fault that you were brought here, it's the world's fault."

He smiled slightly, revealing his snow-white teeth.

"I need your help to win over those in the upper echelons in order to achieve a great ambition!" Epstein said, a look of ecstasy spreading across his face.

"Did you know that my ancestors came from the Buryat people of Siberia? During the Yongle era, they fled south to Jianzhou to avoid disaster and became a group that called themselves Jianzhou Jurchens. But in fact, we were not Jurchens at all."

He squinted, recalling the glory of his ancestors. "Later, the Ming Dynasty declined, and our ancestors rose up in the Changbai Mountains and Heilongjiang River region. After Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself, our ancestors entered the pass and seized the world. Our clan also rose from wild people in the mountains to a noble royal family."

"Of course, those greedy scholar-officials also contributed a lot to the downfall of the Ming Dynasty." He chuckled. "History is always like this: what brings down a giant is never an external enemy, but a tumor that proliferates endlessly within its body."

The girls couldn't understand Chinese, but instinctively shrank back, feeling uneasy, as the chains around their necks rattled.

"Later, times changed again, and the Khanate of Daqin Gulun, which my people established, inevitably declined." Epstein's eyes showed regret and sorrow. "My family then came to America with the astonishing wealth accumulated over hundreds of years, intermarried with white people, and one generation, two generations, three generations, until my generation, when we could no longer be recognized as Buryats."

He touched his high, straight nose, marveling at the power and wonder of genetics.

"But the blood flowing in my veins will not change!" His voice suddenly rose in intensity. "I will restore my kingdom! I will return to that ancient land and once again become the supreme emperor!"

He looked at the girls with a tender yet malicious gaze.

"So I need power and money, lots and lots! Therefore, this island, these deals, these acts of evil in your eyes, are all for this great goal." He sighed. "Unfortunately, you don't understand. Of course, it's better that you don't understand. If you could, I wouldn't be telling you these truths."

Before the words were finished, a loud, muffled roar suddenly came from afar, as if something had exploded.

The entire palace swayed slightly, and the crystal chandeliers swayed and jingled, as if a small earthquake had occurred.

Epstein frowned, took his phone out of his bathrobe pocket, and dialed the control center on the island.

"What's going on?" he asked unhappily.

An anxious voice came from the other end of the phone: "Lord Ai! An unidentified warship has appeared at sea and just shelled the eastern position! Patrol ships are on their way."

"A warship?" Epstein jumped to his feet. "Warship?!"

"I don't know!"

"waste!"

"By the way, the people on the warship just said they were from the IRS and were there to investigate tax evasion."

Lord Ai looked utterly bewildered. "What the hell is the IRS?! I'd rather kill and commit arson than owe the IRS money!"

Sure enough, the head of the control center said again, "Lord Ai, they've opened fire again and sunk one of our patrol ships!"

"Kill them! At any cost!"

Epstein hung up the phone, his fingers trembling slightly with anger.

For so many years, no one has dared to cause trouble on his turf. There must be something fishy about this!

So he quickly dialed another number.

The phone rang for a long time before the other party answered.

"Feed? Is this our dear Lord Ai?" A lazy male voice came from the other end, with soft jazz music playing in the background.

"It's me," Epstein said in a low voice. "Something's happened on the island. A warship just attacked my island. What's going on?"

There was a two-second silence on the other end of the phone.

Then came a light, disdainful laugh.

"Fool," the voice said, still languid but with a chilling sarcasm. "Who told you to be so careless, giving too many people something to hold against you?"

Epstein was taken aback: "Who caught me red-handed? Explain yourself!"

"You don't need to know." The other person paused. "Anyway, you and your island are already finished."

"It's those people I have dirt on! Trying to silence them?" Epstein's voice rose. "Damn it, my family invested so much money in you! You have to save me!"

The other party laughed out loud, "My dear Lord Ai, although your family has been in America for many years, I'm afraid you still don't quite understand our ways. What we like to do most is kick someone when they're down. We never offer help when things are going well or help when things are going badly. Besides, if you die, I'll also get a share of your family's vast assets."

"Besides, you think too highly of yourself. You're just our dog, a dog that does dirty work for us, only fit to chew bones, yet you dream of eating at the table?" The man laughed heartily.

Epstein's face turned ashen.

"Goodbye, Lord Ai, I still prefer the way you looked with that pigtail braid."

He heard a busy signal and hung up the phone.

Epstein stared blankly at the phone, cold sweat trickling down his forehead.

He was abandoned; someone wanted to discard him after he had served his purpose!

A few seconds later, he snapped back to reality, rushed towards the door, and yelled into the control center, "I'm taking the helicopter away now!"

"Lord Ai, would you like us to send you a driver?" the voice on the other end asked.

"No need! Just make sure that damn air defense system doesn't misidentify it!"

He rushed out of the room, ran through the long corridor, and headed towards the helipad at the back of the palace.

He had been running all the way, even barefoot. When he pushed open the heavy oak door, the night wind rushed in, and he saw a black helicopter parked on the tarmac not far away.

Epstein was about to rush towards the hatch when he suddenly stopped abruptly.

Four figures were seen standing in front of the helicopter.

The four men who had infiltrated were also stunned, staring at him in unison.

"We've been so discreet in our infiltration, how come we keep running into people along the way?" Old Tang shook his head.

"Should we just kill him?" Erii asked innocently.

Just as Lu Mingfei was about to make a move, Fingel shouted, "No, this guy is Epstein!"

Epstein took a half step back, scanning the group with extreme vigilance: "And who are you?!"

"Since you're asking so sincerely!" Lu Mingfei raised his gun. "Fine! Forget the formalities. We're here to rid the people of this scourge! Prepare to die, you beast surnamed Ai!"
