The Alchemist's Guide to Flesh and Blood Ascension
Chapter 31 What are you all doing, gathering in a crowd?
Before the morning mist had even dissipated, the radiance between the crystal towers of Starmoke had already illuminated the entire city.
The entire Miracle Alchemy Street has not yet returned to its bustling state, but seven or eight apprentices are already standing in front of the "Heisenberg Pharmacy".
They were dressed in the uniform robes of the Tuss Academy, with various patterns embroidered on the cuffs. They huddled together, whispering, their eyes occasionally drifting toward the closed oak door.
"If what Ryan said is true..."
"Did you bring enough money? The truth will come out eventually. If the situation is true... try to stock up as much as possible."
In the crowd, Ryan was crossing his arms and quietly squeezing towards the spot closest to the oak door, his face revealing undisguised tension and regret.
The effects of yesterday's potion were still fresh in his mind. Feeling the unobstructed flow of magic, he was so excited that he barely slept all night.
squeak-
The oak door was pushed open from the inside by a slender, fair arm, and Iseria peeked out, her long, off-white hair gleaming softly, the silver hair clip on her head particularly eye-catching.
"Good morning, everyone. Everything's ready at the shop, except the boss is still sleeping... ah, meditating."
She gave a gentle smile, stepped aside to reveal the neatly arranged first floor of the pharmacy.
Before anyone could react, Ryan was the first to slip inside. The shop still carried a faint and unique herbal scent, as if the potion had just been made.
The apprentices snapped out of their daze and filed in, staring at the neatly arranged medicine bottles on the shelf, clearly somewhat surprised.
"Purity of 30, 50, 70... My God, there really is 91 degrees?"
An apprentice wearing round crystal glasses pushed up his glasses, his voice trembling—Ryan's attitude just now had completely proven everything.
"Really... only two gold coins..."
Another apprentice swallowed hard, took two "exceptionally heavy" gold coins from the rustling money bag, and placed them in front of Iseria.
"I need a bottle of 91% purity... thank you."
Iseria somewhat awkwardly checked the authenticity of the gold coins—the etheric elements would tell her—before tiptoeing down to retrieve a dark blue glass bottle from the top floor.
The apprentice took it into his hand, and just feeling the cool sensation from his palm, he felt that the magic illness left over from yesterday's training had lessened considerably.
"Rock, what are you standing there for... take a sip."
It was Ryan, the first one to enter the store, who spoke up. His pouch was completely stuffed with this special magical repair potion, and his face was full of a satisfied smile.
Rock nodded, unscrewed the cork, and took a careful sip—then he choked.
"Cough...cough cough! This...this is definitely not an ordinary repair potion!" His voice became somewhat shrill.
"What's added to this? An extract of glacial moss? It can't be something unique to the snowy region..."
"Yonev said it's a trade secret~" Iselia blinked, imitating Yonev by resting her head on one hand, her tone carrying a hint of mystery.
"However! Yunevo said these materials far exceed the Alchemist Guild's testing standards, don't you think?"
She straightened up, pointed to some of the chemical instruments displayed in the booths, and spoke with a hint of pride.
"Furthermore, we used some more advanced equipment in the triple purification process!"
The crowd looked at each other in disbelief, some practically pressed against the glass of the display case, utterly shocked.
"This...this is completely different from the equipment in the academy..."
Looking again at the dazzling array of goods on the shelves, their eyes had changed!
……
The news of a group of students from the University of Touss visiting the Heisenberg Pharmacy spread quickly, and by noon, a long queue had formed at the Heisenberg Pharmacy.
Not only were there apprentices from Tus Academy, but also some low-level mages dressed in civilian clothes, or mercenaries dressed as adventurers...
There were even two middle-aged men wearing dark blue mage robes issued by the association, standing with their arms crossed, watching and talking from a distance.
"The purity of the medicine in that shop... can reach 91 degrees?"
"Who knows? But we haven't received any notice of shop handover."
"You mean...?"
"Shh..."
It wasn't just these two monks; there were also murmurs and discussions among the crowd, filled with curiosity, suspicion, and even jealousy... all sorts of emotions were brewing within them.
"It's so noisy... I guess I'll have to work overtime again today."
Still half-asleep, Yunevo drew the curtains, yawned, picked up a box of desserts, and prepared to go downstairs to feed Iseria.
Just then, Oliver Grant, the middle-aged sorcerer in a long robe with crimson trim, walked into the shop.
He was wearing the badge of a lecturer in "Theoretical Spellcasting" from the Tuss Academy, but his stern face clearly indicated he was in a bad mood...
Students are late for morning classes and have to rush to patrol the streets without even having eaten breakfast, which is quite frustrating.
Along the way, he saw many students from the academy holding bottles of medicine as if they were treasures, their expressions and the tone of their discussions suggesting they had been brainwashed by some cult.
Naturally, as a lecturer and inspector, it was necessary for him to come and see for himself.
"Welcome—" Iseria tiptoed out from the crowd, waved, and then continued with her work.
"Professor Oliver!" Ryan recognized the mage, and then the other students turned around to greet him.
"What are you all doing here? Judging potions? Don't you have classes this afternoon?!"
A seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl... a lifeless apothecary, neither of them seemed like the kind of person who could concoct that kind of potion.
Oliver narrowed his eyes; he was well aware of the difficulty in consistently producing potions with a purity of over 90%...
Only a handful of pharmacy professors in the entire Tuss College could accomplish this—this shop has a serious problem!
"Hello, I'm Oliver, an inspector from Starmoke... Please cooperate with the inspection and show me your business license and alchemy permit."
He squeezed through the crowd to the counter and routinely showed his employment certificate.
The customers waiting in line began to whisper among themselves; some were worried, while others were gloating.
Ryan was so anxious he was jumping up and down – if he stood up for himself, Oliver would definitely give him a very low participation score.
Iseria turned to look at Yunevo and tugged at his sleeve.
"Ah... wait a moment," Yunev first placed his Alchemy Association badge on the table.
"A level 5 alchemist! The shop owner is actually a level 5 alchemist?!" someone exclaimed in surprise.
With no need to hide his abilities any longer, Yunevo went to the association to upgrade himself, and now he has placed the letter of recommendation from Norton on his desk again.
"Regarding the business license... you should ask your Mage Association, since you assured me that you would personally deliver it on the day the shop opens."
"However, I think this person's signature is enough to vouch for me, so it was my oversight. I apologize."
Eunicev unfolded the letter of recommendation first, revealing Norton Rhine's unique signature on it.
Fifth-tier mages can't really cause much trouble in Stamok... except for those with powerful connections.
The air fell silent instantly.
