I became the slime toy of the evil dragon girl?
Chapter 58 Plan
Ian simply looked at him and asked in somewhat broken goblin language, "How many people are in your goblin tribe in Sweet Forest?"
Lilith looked at Ian with some surprise, not expecting that this little slime Ian could actually speak Goblin language.
Gugu was also somewhat surprised; a slime that could speak goblin language was truly an eye-opener for him.
He raised his head, his eyes darting around, as if calculating how many wouldn't be eaten.
"Reporting to Lord Slime... there were originally 170 or 180. Many of them were out looting when we teleported, I don't know where they went."
"You goblins are at least 50% responsible for the terrible reputation of intelligent monsters," Ian thought to himself.
He carefully observed Ian's expression. "Now, there are probably... about a hundred of them?"
Seeing that Ian didn't speak, he quickly added, "We can have children! Give us a month, and we can at least triple our numbers!"
Ian was silent for two seconds. As expected of a goblin, their reproductive desire is indeed very strong! They immediately start talking about having children…
"What are you talking about? Who's going to give you babies? You think you can attack humans? Do you dare?"
"Attack humans?" Gugu's eyes widened like saucers. "Isn't that just our daily routine as goblins? I even captured a female adventurer the other day..."
Ian cautioned, "These are noble private soldiers, not adventurers who can't even afford leather armor..."
"Huh?" Gu Gu's lips trembled twice, a clear hesitation flashed across her face, and finally turned into a desperate determination.
He had seen those noble private soldiers from afar; their strength was roughly the same as that of adventurers…
However, the private soldiers' excellent armor was enough to render the goblin tribe's sharpest swords ineffective, and generally only bear goblins and big goblins could pose a threat to these armored soldiers.
"I dare!" he gritted his teeth, afraid that if he said no, he would be torn to shreds by the menacing monsters around him in the next second.
"Don't even think about running away... or you'll suffer worse than death, and I'm sure you don't want to experience that." Ian gave the goblin in front of him a small threat.
Gugu trembled and nodded vigorously.
With the goblin matter settled, Ian briefly recounted their conversation to the bewildered crowd around him who couldn't understand goblin language.
Charles nodded slightly.
"Then it's settled," Ian said.
Ian's tentacles pressed onto the map and began deployment.
"The first step is a feint attack."
He looked at Gugu: "I will send someone to supervise you in gathering the other goblins. Gather a hundred, and those who don't come will die. Tomorrow night, attack from three directions simultaneously."
Gugu nodded vigorously, her eyes sparkling.
"We don't aim to kill the enemy, we only aim to create chaos. Light fires, shout, run around everywhere, create as much chaos as possible. The goal is to make the private soldiers think it's a monster attack, and lure the main force out of the camp."
Goblin: "Got it! We goblins are the biggest troublemakers!"
"Step two: infiltration."
Ian looked at Lilith and the Gilded Rose Squad.
"You three, follow Lilith. Take advantage of the chaos and sneak into the Whispering Cave."
Lilith stepped out of the shadows and nodded.
"Lilith will clear the way and take care of the sentries," Ian said. "Phoebe will smash open any fences or gates that might be there. Your hammer is finally useful."
Phoebe grinned: "It's called a staff!"
"Whatever," Ian continued. "Nicole will lead the way and cover the hostages' evacuation. You know the terrain well."
Nicole nodded and tapped the map with her finger: "This kind of cave probably only has one entrance and exit, just be careful when scouting."
"The third step is to provide support."
Ian looked toward the Angry Horn.
The Angry Horned One had been waiting impatiently for a long time, its eyes, as big as copper bells, widening in surprise: "Mother of the Earth, where am I?"
"You lead the minotaurs and lie in ambush at the edge of the forest along the retreat route. Once Lilith and the others have retreated, you rush out and hold off the pursuers."
Angry Horn thumped his chest: "Don't worry! One of us minotaurs is worth ten!"
"I'll monitor the entire site and provide support at any time," Ian said. "If any problems arise, I'll be there immediately."
"Step four: Retreat."
His tentacles drew a line on the map: "Everyone retreat into the forest, the minotaurs cover the rear. Charles will arrange for reinforcements at the edge of the forest, and prepare food and medicine."
Charles nodded: "The medical tents are ready, Barbara is in charge."
Barbara hugged the Holy Scripture tightly and whispered, "I will heal everyone."
Ian looked around and finally emphasized:
"Rescue people only, don't linger in battle. Kill if you can, run if you can't. Our target is three hundred rabbit people, not to wipe out Barov's private army."
He looked at Lilith: "After you take your men in, they should be gone in half an hour at most. If they don't come out in half an hour, I'll send Angry Horn in to rescue them."
Lilith's lips curled slightly: "It won't take half an hour."
Charles suddenly said, "I have a question."
Ian looked at him.
"Those rabbit-men will just think we devoured them on the spot," Charles frowned. "That's always been the reputation of monsters."
There was a moment of silence in the tent.
Ian probably understood that thanks to the relentless efforts of humans in spreading rumors over the past few centuries, the reputation of monsters had long been extremely bad.
The first thought of any non-monster race when encountering a monster is basically only to attack, even if the monster is intelligent.
Just like those half-elves in the Sweet Forest back then, if it were a group of humans saying they could save the Ancient Tree of Wisdom, those half-elves would probably have been carried in on a grand procession long ago.
Ian sighed deeply; changing the public perception of monsters was something that absolutely had to be put on the agenda...
at this time.
Rongrong stood up from the corner.
She swayed unsteadily, her face as pale as paper, and only managed to steady herself by holding onto the tent pole. Barbara tried to help her, but she gently pushed her away.
"I...I'll go with you."
Barbara panicked; her professional ethics as a pastor compelled her to immediately dissuade him: "You haven't recovered yet! You were unconscious yesterday, how can you...?"
Rongrong shook her head.
"My people know me. They will only believe you and follow you if they see me."
She looked at Ian, her eyes reddening, but she held back her tears.
Ian was silent for two seconds.
"Can you walk?"
Rongrong gritted her teeth and said, "Yes."
Ian nodded: "Then you go with Lilith. Once inside, you'll be in charge of making announcements."
Rongrong nodded vigorously.
Before the meeting ended, she walked up to Ian.
Everyone was looking at her.
She knelt down.
Forehead on the ground, hands outstretched forward, the whole body lying prone on the ground.
"Lord Slime".
Her voice trembled, but she spoke each word clearly:
"On behalf of the Rabbit People, I thank you for saving my life."
Ms. Mo floated in mid-air, secretly wiping the corner of her eye, though her soul had no tears. She felt that being a spectator was definitely more immersive than listening to a story.
Ms. Mo secretly thought, "When will Little Slime actually make the movie he mentioned? It's a perfect topic..."
