Hong Kong Entertainment 1979: A Beating Up the Manager at the Start
Chapter 92: Rika in an Upgraded Version
Meanwhile, Awei returned to his dormitory on Broadcast Drive.
This dormitory was rented by Li Jiangbo specifically for the bodyguard team. All four floors of this building are the residences of the Time Pictures bodyguard team.
It was less than 200 meters from Li Jiangbo's residence, and only about 10 meters from the dormitory of Guan, Zhong, Mei, and Zhu.
Awei knocked on the door, the door opened, and Awei went straight to the living room.
The living room was filled with smoke, and three people were playing cards around a square table.
The person who opened the door was Awen, who was holding a book and reading it with great interest, completely unaware that Awei in front of him had stopped.
"Stop hitting him..."
Before Awei could finish speaking, he was interrupted by Awen from behind.
Awei glared at Awen, then turned back to see several people playing cards stop what they were doing and look at him expectantly.
Awei nodded in satisfaction, plopped down on the sofa, picked up a cigarette from the table, and lit it.
"Stop hitting me, we have something to do! The boss gave us two instructions this time."
"First, keep an eye on a man named Chen Tianfang; he was a former deputy manager at Shaw Brothers. Second, keep a close eye on the phone number gang and see if there's any collusion between the two sides."
Upon hearing this, Awen's eyes lit up. He put down the book in his hand and looked at Awei with anticipation.
"Brother Wei is keeping an eye on someone? Should we use torture? I'll study 'The Ten Great Tortures of the Qing Dynasty' right away..."
Awei rolled his eyes at Awen. "Stop researching! The boss said we're Han Chinese, so we can't use Manchu punishments."
Upon hearing this, Awen lowered his head, then suddenly thought of something, "Could we use Han Chinese punishments?"
Awei covered his forehead, feeling dizzy and lightheaded, and it took him a long time to recover.
He gritted his teeth, "Use you my foot! Keep an eye on things first, find out the details before you take any action."
Ali leaned closer and asked, "Brother Wei, who is this Chen Tianfang? Where does he live? What does he look like?"
Awei was taken aback, only then realizing that he was the only one who had ever met Chen Tianfang.
He scratched his head, recalling the events as he described them to the others.
After a while, the group finally figured out what Chen Tianfang looked like.
Ah Wei continued to make arrangements, "Ali, take two people to Shaw Brothers and find out where this bastard lives."
"Ah Cai, take two men to keep an eye on the Number Gang and find out what's going on."
Ah Cai gave a wry smile, "Brother Wei, the Number Gang's territory is just too big, we can't keep an eye on it all."
Seeing that Awei was confused, Acai quickly explained, "The Number Gang doesn't have a leader. Each person in charge does their own thing, and sometimes they even fight each other."
Awei then realized that he didn't have enough manpower, but he was quick-witted.
"So, you'll stay with Ali."
After saying that, he turned to look at Awen, "You...you come with me to the electricity inspection office to see if we can find Chen Tianfang's whereabouts."
Awen was somewhat disappointed. "Just keeping watch, no need for torture?"
Awei slapped him on the back of the head. "Torture, torture! All you know is torture. Have you gone crazy from reading too many books?"
Awen looked at Awei with a wronged expression, but when he realized that Awei was ignoring him, he could only lower his head and continue reading.
But in his heart he was thinking: I'll find a book on Han Chinese criminal law to study!
"Alright! Be careful not to get spotted. We'll move in half an hour!"
The two answered in unison, "Understood."
After a moment, Awen raised his head in confusion and realized that everyone was looking at him.
"clear!"
In about a week, Ah Wei had thoroughly investigated the connections between Chen Tianfang, the number gang, the electronic inspection department, and customs.
Awei arrived at Li Jiangbo's office carrying a bag of documents.
He knocked on the door, and only entered after receiving permission from Li Jiangbo.
As soon as he entered, he saw Rosamund Kwan walking towards him with a flushed face.
Awei didn't care. He stepped aside to let Guan Zhilin pass first, and then walked up to Li Jiangbo.
"Boss, we've found out."
Li Jiangbo leaned firmly against the table, his expression unchanged and his heart pounding as he asked, "What did you find out?"
Awei placed the file bag he was holding on the table.
"This is dirt on Chen Tianfang, the Number Gang, the Electronic Inspection Department, and relevant personnel from Customs. Take a look."
Li Jiangbo picked up the file folder and opened it. "Go on."
"According to our investigation, it was Chen Tianfang who found the number to help Kui Lao of Xiaozidui. Chen Tianfang was responsible for contacting the electronic inspection department to process the cards, while Kui Lao was responsible for contacting the customs to seize the goods."
He paused for a moment, then continued, "The censorship department was contacted by Paul Smith, and customs was contacted by Zheng Hai."
Li Jiangbo put the documents into a file bag, took out a pack of cigarettes from the drawer, tossed one to Awei, and lit one for himself.
"Same as always, for real!"
Awei's eyes widened in disbelief as he asked, "Are you serious?"
"Okay! Let Brother Dao's men handle it in the end, you guys don't need to get involved."
"clear."
Five minutes later, Awei walked out of Li Jiangbo's office with the documents in his hand.
Only then did Li Jiangbo dare to lift his body off the table, revealing that he was only wearing floral underwear on his lower body.
His trousers were thrown onto the sofa by Rosamund Kwan, the silver needles on them still glittering.
Thankfully, Awei arrived in time; otherwise, who knows what might have happened.
Li Jiangbo was genuinely afraid of this girl. She clung to him as soon as she came over in the morning, and when she saw that his pants were torn, she insisted that her mother had taught her how to do it.
Without saying a word, he took off Li Jiangbo's pants, and then, without anyone knowing where he got the needle and thread, sat down on the sofa and started mending.
Oh! What a tragedy!
......
Dao Ge was woken up by a phone ringing.
He picked up the phone, ready to start cursing, but a sharp sound brought him back to his senses.
"Hey! Is this Brother Wei? Brother Wei, what's up?"
"What? You want me to tidy up the containers at the dock?"
"No problem, no problem, leave it to me."
After hanging up the phone, Brother Dao put on his clothes and prepared to take action.
The young lady lying on the bed sat up and covered herself with a sheet.
"Brother Dao, where are you going?"
The sound of the clip aroused Dao Ge's reaction again, and he pounced on the woman like a wolf.
Only soft moans remained in the room. Ten minutes later, Brother Dao got up wearily, swayed as he put on his clothes and left.
At 2 a.m., in the innermost container at Sham Shui Po Pier.
Five large iron pots were lined up in a row.
Wearing a gas mask, Awen frantically stirred the mixture with a stick in his hand.
This stuff is a bit hard to stir when it's cold; you can only stir it when it's hot.
Without stirring and breaking it up, it simply won't go in.
There were also three boxes of freshly opened canned herring on the table.
This was specially brought back from Sweden by Zhao Dong at Li Jiangbo's request, as an upgraded version of Shili Xiang.
Next to the box were five large funnels for feeding medicine to livestock.
After a while, Awei, Acai, and Awen led their men in, carrying several people in.
Awei blew the smell out of his nose, and someone brought him a gas mask.
Only after putting on the mask did Awei dare to breathe. He shook his head and gestured for the people he had brought to be hung up.
His men immediately and skillfully hung the person up.
Ah Wen approached Ah Wei and asked, "Brother Wei, shall we begin?"
Awei waved his hand, "Wait a minute, Brother Dao still has a few more to send over."
Awen nodded and didn't say anything more.
Time passed by, and about half an hour went by.
The container door was pushed open again, and Brother Dao and his men carried a person in.
Ah Wei nodded to Brother Dao, "Wait a minute, have your men do it, and then sign it."
Dao Ge was too terrified to speak; a single image kept flashing through his mind.
In that scene, he was being hung up, while Wei Ge was the one doing the work.
