Chapter 52 Clan Emblem Blood Seal
"You're here to find the concept of the subspace within the Iron Curtain, right?"
Eller's words were startling, causing Kong Jiu to freeze in place, his mouse-like body stiffening slightly.
Fortunately, this bloodline member couldn't see the fleeting look of astonishment in Kong Jiu's eyes as he turned into a rat.
He slowly raised his hand, reaching towards his shoulder, his fingers slightly spread, as if to gently grasp Kong Jiu.
But just as his palm was about to touch the latter, the movement suddenly stopped.
The crimson, blood-red bottle-shaped emblem on Eller's palm stood clearly before Kong Jiu's eyes, like a congealed bloodstain.
"This is my family crest, the Stuart family crest."
Eller said calmly, with a hint of distant reminiscence, "Upon closer reflection, if there is anything here that 'does not exist in reality,' it must be this 'concept.'"
He held the family crest in his palm forward again, and murmured thoughtfully, "When I was first appointed Lord of the castle, the then ruler of Hills made a pact with me, bestowing this 'concept' upon me."
"According to him, this concept maintains the operation of a spirit called the Iron Curtain, which is key to maintaining order in Hills City."
"I can place it in a spiritual energy array, or I can plant it within my own body, since I am originally a being that draws spiritual energy from the fortress beneath my feet."
"With this concept, I can prove to the rulers of Hills throughout history that I am the master of this warp."
A slightly mocking smile appeared on his lips. "But then some war broke out outside, and nobody remembered it anymore. It was only later that the Lord of Hills had to come to the Warp to seek my certification. When you live long enough, you really do run into all sorts of things."
Eller continued explaining casually, as if they were having a casual chat, completely unaware of the increasingly intense fervor in Kong Jiu's eyes.
"He confessed everything himself?" Kong Jiu almost screamed with excitement.
"incredible……"
Squich let out an barely suppressed gasp, "Did the people who built the Iron Curtain never even consider how to contain this concept? Did they simply hand it over to a bloodline as the key to a warp fortress?"
"Kong, come closer to that red emblem, let me smell it!"
At Squich's command, Conjur leaned forward and brought the ring close to the emblem.
A wisp of spiritual energy connected to the Iron Curtain quietly flowed into the ring.
"Yes, yes! This is the taste..."
Squich cried out excitedly, his voice sharp as a mouse's squeak, "The rusty smell of oppression and confinement, the rotten stench unique to the Iron Curtain!"
He murmured in Kong Jiu's mind, as if in a trance, "Are all those who erected the Iron Curtain dead? How could they just let a quarter of its foundations drift abroad like this?"
Kong Jiu couldn't help but speak up, his voice trembling slightly with excitement: "Aile, didn't the person who gave you this concept say it was important?"
"I think not?"
Eller withdrew his hand, looked down at the emblem on his palm, and said with a slightly puzzled expression, "When they gave me this thing, they only said it was a concept, and never told me anything like 'you must hide it well'."
He waved his palm at Kong Jiu again, the crimson color swaying as he did so: "Does the Rat God want this? Then I'll have to find a way to replace the stone gate with a spiritual energy identification key."
Clearly, in Ailer's hands, this thing was nothing more than an ordinary spiritual symbol that could identify the opening and closing of the stone door and could be imprinted on the palm of a family crest; it didn't seem to be "carefully protected" at all.
There's an absurd feeling about a missile being sold on the street after changing hands several times.
Oh, the Great Vortex Wars did indeed pull it off.
Kong Jiu suppressed the excitement in his heart and nodded: "King Squich does indeed want this thing. What price are you willing to pay to transfer all of this?"
"A price?" Eller shook his head, flattered, a look of fear and trepidation on his pale face. "No, no, no, I wouldn't dare ask the Rat God for a price. If you want it, take it."
As he spoke, he gently waved the tip of his other finger in front of the scarlet mark on his palm. The bottle-shaped emblem gradually blurred and melted, transforming into a thin stream of scarlet light that swirled around his fingertip.
"Those who made the fortress pact with me have long since vanished into the annals of time."
"I no longer need this concept to prove my title as Lord of Red Rain Fortress. If the Rat God is pleased, I am willing to offer it to you with both hands."
As soon as he finished speaking, the scarlet light floated up gently and hovered in front of Kong Jiu.
The peacock rat's nose twitched slightly, and it extended its front paw. A dark green light flashed from the ring on its paw, as if it were breathing, drawing in that concept.
Just like that... you succeeded?
Everything happened so easily that Kong Jiu felt a sense of unreality and dazedness, wondering if things were going too smoothly for him.
"No!!!"
But the scream that suddenly exploded in his mind instantly shattered his doubts.
"What's going on? This concept is incomplete!"
Squich's voice plummeted from ecstasy to rage, almost piercing eardrums.
It impatiently fiddled with the wisp of light flowing into the ring, and the more it examined it, the more it felt something was wrong.
Upon closer inspection, it is indeed the "concept" that maintains the operation of the Iron Curtain, but its size is as thin as gauze, clearly indicating that it has undergone some kind of division, and is so broken that less than one-tenth of it remains.
If the concepts that were separated have all disappeared, that would be fine.
But their plan is to completely destroy the Iron Curtain.
Even a single vestige of a concept could lead to total defeat!
In other words, this complete concept has been divided into at least nine parts!
Destroying this concept suddenly became incredibly difficult!
Squich's agonizing screams echoed repeatedly in Kong Jiu's mind, shaking him to his core.
Kong Jiu's face darkened, and he turned to look at Ailer, his eyes shooting out a sharp question.
"What happened? This concept is now only one-tenth intact?"
He now fully realized that Eller's statement that "Hills and those who made contracts with him did not value this concept of warp space" was no exaggeration.
Such a precious thing was broken into dumpling filling and no one cared. That's more than just being indifferent.
"Damaged?" Eller scratched his head, genuine confusion on his face. "Does this thing... have a complete description?"
Kong Jiu was almost laughing out of anger; his whiskers trembled slightly from the emotional turmoil.
"So, you're saying you voluntarily chopped this thing up and broke it apart?"
"Uh, Your Excellency, isn't this just a concept?"
Eller defended himself somewhat helplessly, spreading his hands slightly, "It's not a complete loop. Even though it's been broken down, it can still be used as a key."
He glanced nervously at Kong Jiu, his voice lowering: "When they gave this thing to me, they said this strand represents the concept of 'continuity'."
"I was thinking, since it represents continuation... why not give a wisp of this concept to an adopted son who doesn't want to stay in Red Rain Fortress and decides to leave, so that he can continue his own family outside and have a prosperous lineage..."
Kong Jiu was completely speechless after hearing Eller's words and stood frozen in place for a moment.
The absurdity of the missile being resold on the street is still too mild.
This is like some ancient jade being used as a key to a nuclear weapons depot, hanging around the neck of a young master of a family, and enemy spies searching for it for ages without finding it.
He was momentarily at a loss for words, wondering if he should criticize Amerigo's higher-ups for being such a disorganized bunch, carelessly handing over such a crucial item to Eller, leaving it shattered beyond recognition, and yet no one intervened.
Or rather, this pale-skinned descendant has the mindset of a mother hen, even arranging the "division of the family property" perfectly for her adopted sons.
Does Amerigo Veterans still have any politicians capable of controlling the situation? Why do they all seem like a makeshift team?
