Xie Jinchen quickly interjected before she could say anything that might spoil the mood:

"Tonight is our wedding night, don't pull out any talismans to stick on me."

Jiang Dusheng was taken aback, then burst out laughing, her eyebrows curving like spring flowers in bloom, breathtakingly beautiful.

She released her grip, looking at him with a bright smile: "Xie Jinchen, who wanted to stick a talisman on you? I just wanted to say... you look really good in red!"

Xie Jinchen's tense nerves suddenly relaxed, and he couldn't help but curl the corners of his lips into a smile that was dazzlingly bright.

He reached out and took Jiang Dusheng's hand, pulling her up from the bedside. "Let's drink the nuptial wine first."

As Jiang Dusheng stood up, her wide sleeves fluttered, and a booklet wrapped in red silk slipped from her sleeve with a thud and fell to the ground.

Jiang Dusheng's expression changed, and he instantly remembered what it was. He quickly bent down to pick it up.

But Xie Jinchen was faster; with a swift movement, he reached out and snatched the booklet into his hand.

"Give it back!" Jiang Dusheng cried out and lunged forward to snatch it.

However, she was shorter than Xie Jinchen. Xie Jinchen only needed to raise his arm high, and she could only jump around in vain, unable to reach it.

Xie Jinchen was just curious about what made her so nervous. Seeing her reaction, he found it even more interesting and easily untied the red silk with his other hand.

His gaze fell on the open pages of the book.

The lines are smooth, the figures are vivid, and the postures are quite novel and bold.

Xie Jinchen's eyes suddenly darkened.

His Adam's apple bobbed, and he felt as if the little bit of wine he had just drunk had turned into a scorching flame, making his mouth dry.

Xie Jinchen looked at Jiang Dusheng, whose cheeks were flushed with anger at not being able to snatch the item, and lowered his voice, with a hint of danger at the end:

"So..." He deliberately drew out his words, his gaze lingering on Jiang Dusheng's face as if admiring her rare moment of embarrassment, "You like these positions?"

He pronounced the last word with exceptional clarity.

Jiang Dusheng: ...

She felt all the blood rush to her face, filled with shame and anger. She stamped her foot and said, "This was forced upon me by Madam Meng!"

Xie Jinchen looked at her eagerness to explain, his smile deepening, but he pretended to understand and said "Oh," drawing out the last syllable, clearly not believing her.

"I'm serious!" Jiang Dusheng emphasized again.

"Yes, I believe you." Xie Jinchen nodded readily, his tone perfunctory.

Xie Jinchen stopped teasing her, lest he really anger her and she pull out the talisman again.

But he didn't return the booklet to her; instead, he casually placed it in an easily accessible spot by the bedside.

Then, he pulled Jiang Dusheng back to the table, picked up the nuptial wine, handed one cup to Jiang Dusheng, and picked up a cup for himself.

Before Jiang Dusheng could fully recover from her earlier embarrassment, Xie Jinchen had already swiftly wrapped his arm around hers, completing the gesture of exchanging cups.

The two were instantly very close, their breaths mingling.

"Not going to drink?" Xie Jinchen asked in a low voice, his tone coaxing, as he looked at her somewhat dazed eyes.

Jiang Dusheng then realized what was happening, and quickly tilted his head back, taking the hand from him, ready to drink it.

However, just as the wine touched her lips...

Xie Jinchen suddenly leaned closer.

His other hand was firmly gripping the back of her neck with an irresistible force, yet it softened into a gentle touch as his fingertips touched her skin.

Xie Jinchen's cool lips captured her lower lip, which was stained with the cool liquid of wine.

"Hmm..."

The sweet and spicy flavors of the nuptial wine were released between the lips.

Jiang Dusheng's breath hitched, his eyelashes trembled slightly, and Xie Jinchen steadily took the wine glass from his hand and placed it on the table, making a soft clinking sound.

Xie Jinchen pried open her teeth with his tongue and plunged in.

His kisses explored greedily, tracing every soft inch of her lips, his sucking accompanied by heart-pounding sounds.

Jiang Dusheng leaned back slightly as he was kissed, but his waist was tightly held by his other arm, forced to press against his burning chest.

His breathing became completely disordered.

The kiss was incredibly passionate, yet also intensely aggressive.

Xie Jinchen savored a long-awaited delicacy, unhurried yet gradually encroaching upon it.

As their lips rubbed together, the temperature rose rapidly.

The red candle crackled and popped, its flame leaping and projecting the two figures, pressed tightly together, onto the wall, magnifying and entangled them, making them indistinguishable.

After an unknown amount of time, Xie Jinchen finally stepped back a little, raised his hand and removed the gold hairpins from Jiang Dusheng's hair bun one by one and threw them on the ground.

Jiang Dusheng was breathing heavily, and was just about to say something.

Xie Jinchen covered him again.

He picked up Jiang Dusheng and placed him on the table.

He then pressed himself tightly against her, his body completely enveloping her.

Xie Jinchen's burning hot hand slid down Jiang Dusheng's back, suddenly lifting her buttocks and pressing her against himself.

The two were separated only by their clothes, and the sensation of the dragon could be clearly felt through the fabric, carrying a strong sense of presence and aggression that was impossible to ignore.

He lowered his head, his nose almost touching Jiang Dusheng's, his breath hot. "The picture book...first page."
