I'm building Gundams in America
Chapter 97 Beautiful Wayne
The instant he added two free attribute points to his stamina, Wayne immediately felt a tingling sensation spreading through his limbs and bones. It was as if his bones were itching.
"call……"
This made him let out a soft sigh.
That was a sigh of joy.
His body is changing.
Through the witch doctor's power, he could feel his muscles stretching and expanding, and his bones becoming thicker and stronger. His body fat percentage was decreasing.
His face also began to become more angular.
In just a few breaths, his body had adjusted to its optimal state.
Based on the values currently provided by the system, the basic physical strength value of an average adult who does not exercise is 1.
For ordinary people like Mike and David, who have some muscle mass, the average value is usually in the 1s.
Fitness enthusiasts who train regularly or have natural talent should be able to achieve a score of 2 or higher.
A stamina rating of 3.3 is definitely at the level of an elite athlete.
To use a more easily understood reference, take Marvel's famously evenly matched Captain America as an example. He is set to be at the pinnacle of human strength, with a base strength of about 5 to 10 times that of an average adult male and a speed 1.6 times that of Usain Bolt.
Wayne's current level is still far below Captain America's, but it's more than enough for this prison.
The Seattle King County Detention Center, also known as the Seattle King County Correctional Center.
It was put into use in 1886.
The main building has a multi-level structure with east and west wings, as well as an enclosed skybridge connecting to the King County Courthouse in Seattle for escorts. The interior features multiple layers of security checkpoints, one-way corridors, and an access control system.
The core detention area of the detention center is divided into different floors and individual unit cells according to security level, gender, medical and mental health needs. Each cell typically houses 2-4 people and has a small window, concrete walls and a steel door.
The building has a glass-enclosed guardhouse in the center, surrounded by two layers of prison cells encircling the public activity area.
Overall, it's the typical prison structure seen in American movies.
As Wayne walked down the prison corridor under the watch of two guards, it was as if he were walking through a zoo housing apes, and a restless shouting echoed throughout the prison.
After all, he still has the foundation of a child star, and after such a long period of systematic recuperation, his condition is much better than those people in prison.
A handsome young man with fair and delicate skin.
This is no longer just about the sexual repression of those strong men in prison.
Similarly, there's the long-standing issue of American society's treatment of its citizens over the years...
This has led to the gradual distortion of many people's psychology.
Prisons are full of heavily made-up "queers" and the like.
In their eyes, they were beautiful women, so they were naturally very interested in Wayne, this young and handsome man.
This has practically become a popular culture in American prisons.
If Andy, the protagonist of "The Shawshank Redemption," were imprisoned today, he would face far more than just three twisted questions.
The two prison guards escorting Wayne seemed to be used to this, and both remained expressionless.
In their eyes, although Wayne appeared calm now, he would be utterly devastated in just one night. They had seen far too many self-important individuals like him.
Some of them are innocent, but are temporarily detained here simply because their trial has not yet begun.
They even naively thought they could create a legend like in "The Shawshank Redemption."
Basically, you'll experience what an American prison is like that very night.
The total number of prisoners in all of America’s felony prisons and detention centers is approximately 210 million.
Including those on probation, parole, and bail, the total number is approximately 550 million.
Of these, 160,000 are incarcerated in more than 500 private prison facilities.
"Hey Bob, I'll bet you all night." Just as one of the guards was passing by a cell, a white prisoner with tattoos on both arms quickly slipped $10 through the peephole and whispered.
Prison guard Bob was clearly used to this kind of thing, and he casually snatched the $10 and stuffed it into his pocket.
Another prison guard, Anderson, quickly scribbled something down in his notebook.
As they passed the next cell, two more people handed them two $20 bills.
"We'll keep him for two nights. This kid seems pretty tough, but he's definitely a beauty..."
A Latino prisoner with long hair and a lip piercing looked at Wayne as he walked by and said.
Upon hearing this, Anderson turned to look at Wayne, somewhat puzzled.
He felt that the young man in front of him seemed even more handsome than when he walked into the prison gate, with more defined features.
Is this some kind of damn Luigi phenomenon?
It is said that some people become more charming after they go to prison.
In America, criminals are sometimes not a derogatory term, but rather a symbol of resistance against corrupt governments and vested interests.
Who cares, as long as I can make money as the dealer.
Anderson shrugged and walked to the door of the next cell to record the amount and details of the prisoners' bets.
One advantage of being a prison guard in the United States is that you can enjoy certain privileges within the prison and earn some safe extra money.
All you need to do is convince your partner to do it together.
As for the prisoners in the prison, they don't have time to pay attention to these things at all. In many cases, they would rather buy some convenience from the prison guards through money or other services.
As U.S. Bureau of Prisons Commissioner Colette Peters said, they have been working to "end abuse and corruption in American prisons," but they have never succeeded; instead, things have become more chaotic.
Wayne's cell is on the second floor.
After walking through the long corridor, we finally arrived at cell number 3 where he was being held.
Inside the cell, a tall, burly Black inmate saw Wayne being led to the cell door by two guards and immediately cheered, "Come on, come in, baby! God! Thank you for your blessing! I finally have my new toy!"
He stared at Wayne's face with intense excitement, as if he wanted to devour him whole, and licked his lips, smiling as he said:
"I think we'll have a pleasant day..."
This scene instantly plunged some of the prisoners in the surrounding cells who coveted Wayne into despair.
"Fuck! Ted, you son of a bitch, be gentle with my little darling!"
"That lucky bastard, oh my god, I'm just..."
"If it's Ted, I'm going to bet big... 50 dollars! I bet this white kid won't last a night and will obediently follow Ted!" Amid the crowd's foul language, prison guard Bob swiped his card to open the cell door and pushed Wayne inside.
This is a small room containing two bunk beds made of metal, with a metal toilet next to each bed.
"Hey, put your hands out," said Bob, a prison guard, closing the cell door and knocking on a square hole at the bottom of the door. That was where the handcuffs were unlocked.
Wayne calmly extended his hand and asked:
"Shouldn't it be two people per room? How come there are so many people in one room?"
Upon hearing this, the two prison guards exchanged a glance and burst into laughter.
As prison guard Bob unlocked Wayne's handcuffs, he said:
"Kid, do you know how many damn criminals there are right now? You think America has so many private prisons? Because public prisons simply can't hold all these criminals!"
"There are over a thousand inmates in the entire King County Correctional Center. You should be thanking God you're not sleeping on the floor..."
As he spoke, prison guard Bob warned Ted, the burly black man in the cell:
"Ted, it's daytime now. You'd better shut up if you're thinking anything stupid. He was just arrested and hasn't been to court yet. Don't let him get hurt, or you'll be in solitary confinement!"
"Okay, okay, Officer Bob, I'll definitely be a good prisoner who obeys orders." Ted chuckled and said to Bob, "Don't worry, I'll certainly protect this little beauty..."
The two prison guards shrugged, put away the handcuffs, closed the peephole on the cell door, and turned to leave.
Wayne turned his head and saw the other three people in the cell: besides Ted, there was a very thin black man who was obviously a drug addict, and a Latino youth who was under 20 years old.
The Latino youth had curly hair, was slightly thin, and timidly clutched the belt of the black man, Ted.
When he saw Wayne enter the cell, a hint of relief flashed in his eyes, relief that someone was finally going to replace him.
Grabbing the other's belt signifies submission, becoming a conquered trophy.
In American prisons, this also meant that he would be protected by the conqueror, that is, the master.
Because he has become Ted's private property.
Looking at the novel scene before him, Wayne couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder.
The absurd logic of American, or rather Protestant, civilization—that "conquest equals protection" and "massacre equals security"—was also manifested in prisons.
This is like a microcosm of an entire bestial civilization.
Before Wayne could finish his exclamation, the black man, Ted, had already walked towards him with an excited smile on his face and said:
"You little bastard, you son of a bitch..."
As he spoke, he reached out and grabbed Wayne.
Wayne suddenly raised his hand and grabbed his arm with lightning speed.
Reverse the [Light of Purification]!
Ted immediately felt weak all over, snot was flowing from his nose, and his knees buckled and he collapsed to the ground.
He just wanted to drink grass right away!
Before he could even react, a tremendous force surged from Wayne's hand. The opponent's strength was astonishing, far exceeding his own! With a crack, his forearm joint was bent 90 degrees in the opposite direction, and his shoulder joint was similarly dislocated by Wayne. A piercing scream instantly echoed through the cell, reverberating throughout the entire prison!
