The creature known as White Zetsu has always been concerned about the development of the Uchiha clan, with the aim of finding a suitable "overseer" for "Madara-sama".

The white humanoid creature underground was unaware that it had been discovered. The Uchiha clan's recent excessive activity was causing it considerable distress.

"A drug that helps open the eyes? Lord Madara doesn't seem to have mentioned it."

"Using children as drug test subjects? Amplifying emotions? What are these?"

"He fell asleep holding that girl's photo again. This guy is definitely a special Uchiha."

White Zetsu peeked half his head out of Obito's room, internally ranting and raving.

Obito was unaware that he had been observed by an unknown creature for a long time. He was fast asleep, holding a photo of himself and Nohara Rin, and occasionally he would laugh.

"Is he really an idiot?"

A look of disgust appeared on Bai Jueren's face. After making a sarcastic remark, he prepared to end his observation. He had attended the clan meeting at the Nanga Shrine and had collected most of the information. It was time to pass on the information.

When the White Zetsu traversed underground, Furukawa Osamu's spirit could no longer sense its location. After trying to detect it without success, he immediately returned to his body.

"Is it moving using tree roots?"

As Furukawa Osamu sat cross-legged on the bed, he whispered, while the slug on his shoulder asked in a cheerful voice:

"Has Lord Xiu found his target?"

Furukawa Osamu responded with some regret, explaining that ever since mastering the art of spirit transformation, he had been diligently patrolling for anomalies, and this incident had, in a way, validated some of his conjectures:

"White Zetsu is Madara Uchiha's 'eye'."

"It's alright. In another six months, Master Xiu will be able to complete the Hundred Healings Seal. With the help of resonance, sensing natural energy will no longer be a problem."

The slug wriggled happily on his shoulder. Furukawa Osamu nodded. He probably hadn't revealed too much information. He was determined to obtain Uchiha Madara's "power".

In a secluded cave deep underground, a white Zetsu hanging from a grotesque wooden figure suddenly fell and respectfully approached a withered old man.

"Lord Madara, there has been unusual activity within the Uchiha clan."

"They seem to have found some kind of drug that can help open the eyes."

The withered old man took a while to react, then raised his head and stared at the creature he had created with his scarlet left eye, whispering in a hoarse voice:

"Relying on drugs to awaken their Sharingan? How can such an Uchiha experience love and hate?"

"I never imagined they had fallen so low."

The old man suddenly stopped talking, remembering his own situation, and chuckled self-deprecatingly.

Madara Uchiha is now relying on external objects to sustain his life. If the Gedo Mazo no longer supplies him with life force, given his current condition, he may soon be heading to the Pure Land.

White Zetsu couldn't understand why Madara would suddenly laugh out loud, so to show respect, it also laughed along.

Madara Uchiha stared expressionlessly at the mentally challenged creature before him, causing it to kneel on one knee again before giving the order:

Furukawa Osamu flattered her with a beaming smile, while Shizune looked embarrassed. After hesitating for a moment, she finally asked the question she had been wondering about:

"Becoming a Chunin might give us a chance to go on missions together."

Tsunade pulled the girl close and whispered in her ear. Shizune blushed, stammered a reply, and then hurriedly ran away, no longer mentioning her refusal.
