Time-traveling island

Chapter 13 Su Zhenzhen

The Pacific Ocean.

While world leaders stayed up all night, Lin An slept soundly.

When he woke up, he felt something furry brushing against his face. He mistook it for his roommate's dog running over, reached out and grabbed it, only to find it was a tail!

Just as I grabbed it, its tail quickly retracted.

"Oh!"

"whee."

A girl's exclamation and another girl's laughter rang out.

Lin An opened his eyes and saw two beautiful girls squatting beside him. The one who was laughing loudly was Su Zhuoyao.

The other girl, slightly younger and equally beautiful, was covering her buttocks with one hand while hitting Su Zhuoyao with the other, laughing and scolding, "Bad sister, ugh..."

As soon as she opened her mouth, Su Zhuoyao covered it with her hand and desperately tried to give her a look.

Lin An didn't understand what the two were arguing about. When he sat up, he realized that it was already broad daylight and four anti-gravity landing ships were hovering above him, guarding him all night.

Su Zhuoyao smiled and helped him stand up, then gave her sister a push.

The younger girl seemed a little nervous, her fingers delicately swaying as she gracefully bowed to Lin An, singing in a theatrical voice, "My lord~~ this humble servant greets you with utmost courtesy~"

"...?"

Lin An was full of suspicion. He looked at her, then at Su Zhuoyao. "Wait, what sect are you from? Why do you speak in such a theatrical tone?"

"Pfft, hahahahaha!!"

Su Zhuoyao could no longer control herself, clutching her stomach and laughing so hard she was doubled over.

Her younger sister finally realized she'd been tricked. Embarrassed, she blushed and chased after her older sister, playfully hitting her while complaining, "You bad sister, you tricked me! You're so mean! I trusted you so much, promising Grandma I'd do whatever you said after we left the house, and you still lied to me!"

The two sisters were both extremely beautiful. They laughed and played around with each other, their movements light and agile, exuding an indescribable youthful radiance.

In the blink of an eye, they had reached the shore laughing and playing. When the younger girl realized she couldn't catch up with her, she immediately bent over and lay down on the ground.

Just as she was about to transform, Su Zhuoyao, who turned around in time, grabbed her. The two sisters whispered to each other, and Su Zhuoyao pointed at Lin An from a distance before she pouted and agreed to stop making a fuss.

The two returned to Lin An.

"Please excuse my poor attempt, young master."

Su Zhuoyao said with a smile.

"This humble servant is Su Zhenzhen, and greets Young Master Lin."

The younger girl took the initiative to step forward and bow. Although she followed the ancient women's etiquette just like Wang Wanxiu, her bright black eyes stared straight at him, showing no regard for men.

Lin An smiled and said, "You're too kind. But you're not married, are you? Calling yourself 'my concubine' is probably a bit inappropriate."

The phrase "This humble servant greets you with utmost courtesy" also seems very inappropriate. Su Zhuoyao and Su Zhenzhen appear to be clumsily imitating worldly etiquette, much like the White Snake and Green Snake swaying their hips as they walk!

Su Zhuoyao covered her mouth and laughed again.

She was already beautiful, and the way she covered her rosy lips with her fair hands and smiled sweetly made her beauty even more stunning.

Lin An was momentarily dazed before he came to his senses and laughed, "Your sister also referred to herself as 'this concubine' yesterday."

Su Zhenzhen pouted and bumped her head against Su Zhuoyao before asking shyly, "Then, in Young Master Yilin's opinion, what should I say?"

Lin An laughed and said, "Never mind that, isn't it fine to just call yourself 'me'?"

Su Zhenzhen seemed to understand, but nodded in agreement, saying, "My name is Su Zhenzhen, and I live on Luofeng Mountain!"

Su Zhuoyao gracefully bowed and said with a smile, "This humble woman greets Young Master Lin. I've missed you dearly all night."

Su Zhenzhen raised her hand and grabbed Su Zhuoyao's face with her five fingers. Su Zhuoyao turned her head to dodge and then hid behind Lin An with a grin, saying, "I'm teaching you how to address yourself in front of the young master. Don't you appreciate my good intentions?"

"snort!"

Su Zhenzhen remained silent, continuing her relentless pursuit.

Yesterday, Lin An still couldn't quite figure out their personalities, especially Su Zhuoyao. Wang Wanxiu and Amber Lier talked a lot about their worlds, but Su Zhuoyao was the only one who barely mentioned anything.

She only said that she lived in Luofeng Mountain and had been practicing cultivation in the mountain since she was a child, and had never left the mountain.

This made Lin An feel like she was a stranger.

But today she brought her younger sister, Su Zhenzhen, along. The two played and joked around, revealing their true personalities, which made Lin An believe her more.

These two sisters probably don't interact much with outsiders; they are somewhat naive and very lively.

Su Zhuoyao and Su Zhenzhen, their parents were clearly educated, as they named them after the Book of Songs.

Although their manners were a bit off, it was understandable; after all, they weren't from respectable families and had to practice martial arts and cultivation on a daily basis.

As they were playing around, a group of people suddenly appeared in front of Lin An. The Su sisters, Su Zhuoyao and Su Zhenzhen, who were laughing and joking, immediately stopped and turned to look over.

"It's Miss Wang Wanxiu," Su Zhuoyao whispered in her sister's ear.

"Oh, it's the magistrate's daughter, a proper lady from a respectable family, not someone we're performing on stage."

"Good that you understand. We're just playing the fox spirits, the real ladies are the ones. Don't say anything too much later, or you'll give yourself away~"

Su Zhuoyao gave her some instructions, then took her hand and went to greet her.

Su Zhenzhen was a little suspicious, wondering if her sister was lying to her again, but seeing that other people were coming, she hid behind her sister.

When she first arrived on the island, she was overjoyed to see the boundless sea for the first time. When she saw the young man lying on the ground sleeping, she knew that he was the young master Lin that her sister had mentioned.

Her sister lied to her, saying that only a fox tail could wake up Young Master Lin. She believed her partly, but the remaining nine parts were the excitement of meeting a stranger for the first time—this Young Master Lin was the first person her mother-in-law had allowed her to meet after leaving the mountain.

He's still a man.

Therefore, Su Zhenzhen naturally had a good impression of Young Master Lin, and she also trusted her sister's judgment that Young Master Lin was a good person.

But if it were someone else, Su Zhenzhen would remember what her mother-in-law said: "People outside, regardless of age or gender, are all thinking about cheating people out of their money and beauty!"

Although she didn't know what beauty was, she did know about money. She had spent decades searching in the mountains, collecting a lot of valuables from various places, just waiting to use them when she came out of the mountains.

Unfortunately, the island was barren and had nothing at all—no beautiful jewelry, fine fabrics, shops serving good food, or anything like that.

……

"Young Master!"

Wang Wanxiu was delighted to see Lin An again and stepped forward to greet him.

Don't mention it.

Lin An smiled, glanced at the group of people behind her, and seeing that there were both men and women, asked, "Who are these people?"

As soon as he finished speaking, the group knelt down and kowtowed, saying excitedly, "We will never forget Young Master Lin's life-saving grace!"

"Hehe." Su Zhuoyao and Su Zhenzhen covered their mouths and laughed together. Lin An didn't know what they were laughing at, so he quickly helped one of the young men up and said with a smile, "What did Wanxiu tell you? That rice was her reward, it's what she deserves."

Hearing him call Wang Wanxiu by her name, the kneeling people were all stunned.

Wang Wanxiu blushed, but she didn't know what to say. She could only blush and introduce the others to Young Master Lin:

One was her brother, Wang Haiqing; the other was her personal maid, Zhishu.

There was also a former military officer from Shuofang County, surnamed Zhou, whose given name was Yong. He had fled south with Wang Wanxiu’s father when he was in exile.
