Time-traveling island
Chapter 37 Conversation with the Queen
Amberley watched his movements without refusing. After sitting down, she said, "I don't actually mind the dust." She pointed to her white dress, "This dress is a magical item; it can keep things clean, and any minor damage can be repaired with magic."
Lin An glanced at her clothes, then quickly looked away, suppressing his excitement, and said with a smile, "Magic is indeed convenient, and so is spiritual power. It's a pity that neither of these exists on Earth."
I casually asked her, "Does Lily have a way to bring magic to Earth, or to this island?"
Flora glanced at the two of them, then turned to speak to the elves, seemingly inviting them to tour the island first.
Lil thought for a moment and said, "Most of the items that can generate massive amounts of magic are ancient creation artifacts or related to gods, such as the World Tree, the Magic Spring, the Creation Slab, the Heart of the Ocean, and Mother Goddess Mountain. The continent now not only lacks these artifacts, but is also experiencing a continuous decline in magic over thousands of years. I can't think of any way to fill the island with magic."
Lin An nodded; it was just a casual question.
Flora returned and said, "The Kingdom of Gods is unaffected by the decline of magic. If Mr. Lin An can become a god and deify the island, the magic can exist for a long time."
"...How does one become a god?" Lin An asked directly.
Amberley chuckled softly.
Flora laughed and said, "First achieve the Saint rank, then seek the approval of the Creator God, and you can become a god."
Lin An laughed and said, "Then I might as well go directly to your creator god and ask Him to allow me to become a god."
"If Mr. Lin An can find it." Flora looked at the huge spaceship standing between heaven and earth in the distance. Lil had found an incredible world and met an incredible person.
Lin An quickly ate the unidentified fruits and pastries that Amberley had brought, took a sip of water, and then asked Flora, "Shall Lily and I show you around?"
"OK."
"Sit on this landing ship?" Lin An pointed to the cabin.
"No need, I'll take Mr. Lin An with me on the flight, that way we can see things more clearly."
Flora waved her hand, and Lin An felt his body become light and airy as he flew up with her. Amberlie followed beside him, emanating an aura of wind magic.
The three flew slowly around the island. Lin An saw the elves who had come earlier visiting various places. Soon after, the three returned to the landing ship.
"Thank you for your trust, Mr. Lin An."
Flora suddenly laughed.
Lin An thought for a moment and knew what she meant, so he looked at Amber and said, "Trusting someone is a feeling. I trust Amber's character and I also trust my own judgment of people."
If Amberley and her two companions had malicious intentions, they would have seized control of the spaceship on the first day.
After spending a few days together, Lin An also came to believe that they were all trustworthy people.
"Miss Flora, you've finished your tour of the island. What are your thoughts?" he asked, changing the subject.
"A beautiful home away from home."
Flora walked slowly on the beach. Although the shore could hardly be called a beach, and the island was covered in mud, it did not prevent her from seeing the future of the island.
Lin An nodded, "That's what I think too." He then offered, "You don't have to rush to settle down here. Come and travel for a while, get to know the earth better, and then decide."
Flora asked, "Will Mr. Lin An conscript his people to fight the invaders? Or rather, how will he protect the island?"
Are you asking about future conscription policies?
Lin An thought for a moment and said, "We will definitely need to recruit some island residents to maintain daily security. In addition, the island will not need to maintain an army in the foreseeable future."
"What if we need to?" Flora asked.
"Then the island would no longer need to exist."
"what?"
Both of them were surprised.
Lin An laughed and said, "I don't plan to create a country. That would be too troublesome. My idea is that this place is the intersection of four worlds, where different races and civilizations can collide. If one day we need an army to resist invaders, then the island will no longer need to exist. The territory will be handed over to my motherland, or the invaders can occupy it and close the world passage."
Flora pondered his words, and Amberley looked at him and said, "Your thoughts are very similar to those of the elves."
Lin An shook his head. "I just don't have that much ambition to create a country."
Lil said softly, "The elves originally did not have a country. The Elf Kingdom only came into being more than a thousand years ago."
Lin An's eyes were strange. More than a thousand years ago, only?
But then I thought about it, and a thousand years is just one generation of elves…
Flora then asked, "Mr. Lin An plans to designate several residential areas on the island for ordinary people from around the world?"
"That's the idea."
"Are we allowed to enter each other's tribes?"
"Of course, closed communities cannot foster integration and cultural exchange."
"Cultural exchange?"
Flora was clearly encountering this concept for the first time, and after Lin An's explanation, she silently pondered it herself.
Amber explained to Lin An, "For a long time, the Elven race did not interact much with the various races on the continent, until the Elven Kingdom was established a thousand years ago."
Lin An smiled and said, "It seems that the establishment of the kingdom has profoundly changed the Elven race."
"Yes," Lil agreed, but perhaps because she had a lot to say, she didn't elaborate.
Flora sighed softly, "Mr. Lin An, if we had heard your words a thousand years ago, perhaps things wouldn't be like this today."
"?"
Lin An didn't think that one sentence of his could have such a big impact on her.
Lil said, "We don't like being disturbed, but many times... perhaps, there is no eternal home."
She looks very young, but she is actually an elf who is close to a hundred years old.
Lin An smiled and said, "There's a saying that only love is eternal." He then added, "I hope people from different worlds on the island can interact, but I also respect your opinions. If the elven settlement doesn't welcome tourists, then so be it. You've helped me a lot, and I'd be happy to allocate a piece of land for you to live on, including the demon race."
Luo Fengshan didn't know how many demons would come, so he decided to take it one step at a time.
