The Three Kingdoms: Home Travel

55. The world is changing!

It is said that Zhang Jiao, the leader of the Yellow Turban Rebellion, repeatedly defied the will of Heaven in his war efforts, attempting to sweep the world with the Yellow Turbans and usher in a golden age. However, Heaven's will was like a knife, and the destiny of the Han Dynasty had not yet been extinguished.

When human effort defies the will of Heaven, the consequences are predictable. Zhang Jiao was left with numerous illnesses and nearing the end of his life, with only a few days left to live.

However, Zhang Jiao was still unwilling to let the tyrannical Han Dynasty rule the world again. He used the second volume of the "Heaven" section of the "Taiping Yaoshu" (Essential Techniques of Great Peace), specifically the "Qimen Dunjia" (Mysterious Gate and Escape Techniques), to forcibly reverse the fate of the Han Dynasty, shortening the Han Dynasty's remaining fortune of a hundred years to just a few years.

How could Heaven possibly let this go?

The great celestial master Zhang Jiao ultimately perished, turning to ashes, his bones struck by heavenly lightning eighty-one times, truly an unforgivable crime!

Although Zhang Jiao was dead, the fate of the Han Dynasty also declined and perished. On the walls of Luoyang, a beam of yellow light suddenly rose, swirled several times in the sky above the city, and then scattered in all directions.

A faint, mournful howl echoed from a giant dragon before it vanished...

Somewhere in the mountains, an old man with green eyes and a youthful face sat upright in front of a cave. He slightly opened his eyes, counted on his fingers, and frowned deeply. "How dare this brat do such a thing... Enough, enough..."

The old man shook his head, gestured, then suddenly looked surprised and muttered to himself, "Huh? Strange?"

Zhang Jiao died and his body was never found. His disciple Zhang Baiqi suddenly saw three volumes of manuscripts in front of his teacher's desk emitting a blue light and trying to take off. Remembering his teacher's instructions, he hurriedly rushed over and pressed the manuscripts down.

However, the manuscript split into six parts. One part was protected by Zhang Baiqi, while the other five parts turned into yellow light and flew to various places...

"You brat!" the old man from the immortal mountain chuckled, stroking his long beard. "Trying to play these little tricks on your master... Fine, as you wished, the *Taiping Yaoshu* will remain in the world for thirty years!"

Xu Shao of Runan was talking with a young man when he suddenly felt a jolt in his heart. He rushed out of the mansion and saw several streaks of yellow light bursting out from the direction of Luoyang. His expression changed drastically.

The boy behind him grew impatient and said, "How are you going to explain yourself!"

Xu Shao turned around, looking at the young man with a complex expression. "You are a capable minister in times of peace, and a ruthless hero in times of chaos!"

The young man was overjoyed, bowed in gratitude, and left.

"Chaos is coming, the Han Dynasty will not survive..." Xu Shao stood there for a few breaths, then returned to his residence in despair.

An old Taoist priest in a certain temple, his face glowing with health, was playing with a young boy when suddenly his brow twitched. He looked up at the sky and saw a giant dragon soaring into the air. After a few breaths of mournful howling, the dragon dissipated. He brushed his Taoist whisk aside and saw a nebula pattern appear in the sky, with stars twinkling, a truly magnificent sight.

The old Taoist priest focused his mind on one spot and saw an imperial star teetering on the verge of collapse. When he tried to calculate again, the secrets of heaven were in complete chaos.

"The Han dynasty ends here..." The old Taoist muttered a few words, then suddenly noticed that five stars in the sky were shining brightly. He counted on his fingers and realized that these five stars were generals.

"The Emperor Star is obscured, while the General Star shines first?" The old Taoist priest calculated with his fingers, but the secrets of heaven were chaotic. He only found out that two General Stars went to Jingzhou, one went to Qingzhou, and one went to Yangzhou, leaving only the last one to reside in Xuzhou.

"Alas, chaos is imminent..." With a sigh, the old Taoist was about to dispel his magic when he heard the boy beside him say, "Master, that star is quite interesting..."

"Hmm?" The old Taoist was taken aback when he saw that the star residing in Xuzhou suddenly connected with the North, greatly increasing the fortune of the North; then it connected with the Shu region, greatly increasing the fortune of the Shu region; and then it connected with the Jiangnan region, greatly increasing the fortune of the Jiangnan region.

The ebb and flow of power is quite interesting.

"This..." The old Taoist priest was shocked.

Meanwhile, on Jiang Zhe's side, apart from Chen Gui, who was old and retired early, everyone was drinking and celebrating when suddenly a sound came from the horizon and a flash of yellow light appeared.

Chen Deng's eyes lit up, and he exclaimed, "Teacher! Today is truly an auspicious day, one that comes along only once in a century! Look at the auspicious signs in the sky!"

Jiang Zhe, still somewhat dazed from being plied with drinks, looked up at the horizon and saw a giant dragon soaring into the sky. He was immediately stunned. What? A dragon?

He rubbed his eyes, and when he looked again, the dragon had vanished. He muttered to himself, "Was I drunk?"

"Not much, not much!" Tao Ying said, hiccuping. "Today is your joyous occasion, sir. How can we not drink? Gongliang, what do you say?"

Upon hearing this, Mi Fang smiled and said, "Mr. Jiang's brilliant plan to defeat the Yellow Turbans is truly admirable. I would like to offer you another toast."

"Let's go together!" Tao Ying also raised his glass.

"These two are utterly unfilial!" Chen Deng glared angrily. They knew perfectly well that today was their teacher's joyous occasion. If their teacher got drunk and ruined it... cough! Wouldn't that be a pity?

Seeing Chen Deng's angry gaze, Tao Ying awkwardly put down his cup. Mi Fang sighed and said, "Such a beautiful woman, now married... I truly feel..."

"Second brother!" Mi Zhu couldn't stand it anymore and coughed.

"Mr. Jiang, I am Mi Fang, Mi Gongliang. Let's get to know each other better in the future..."

"Okay..." That's all Jiang Zhe can say now.

"Huh?" Mi Zhu, utterly exasperated by having such a younger brother, looked around and was astonished to find his sister gone. He asked in surprise, "Gongliang, where's Zhen'er?"

"Wasn't he...accompanied by Madam Jiang?"

"Absurd...absurd!" Mi Zhu's eyes widened, but after glancing at Jiang Zhe, he swallowed his words again and sighed, "Fine! Let her be!"

"I can't drink anymore... I can't drink anymore..." Jiang Zhe staggered to his feet and groped his way to the living room.

Chen Deng quickly grabbed Tao Ying and Mi Fang, who were trying to cause trouble, and glared at them angrily.

Tao Ying finally couldn't withstand Chen Deng's gaze and sat down to continue drinking with Fang Yue. Mi Fang immediately said, "My sister is still inside. What if something goes wrong?"

"Is Gongliang really doing this?" Chen Deng sneered.

"Heh...heh heh, I suppose my sister knows too..." Mi Fang awkwardly retreated to Mi Zhu's side, while Mi Zhu shook his head vigorously.

After dismissing the two, Chen Deng glanced at the room, secretly amused. He thought, "If the teacher goes into the bridal chamber like this, I'm afraid… cough!" He quickly composed himself and spoke naturally with the others.

"Xiu...Xiuer..." Jiang Zhe felt his way into the room and saw two women inside. He said in surprise, "Huh? Xiuer, how come there are two of you..."

One of them rolled her eyes at Jiang Zhe and said softly, "Then, little sister, you'll take your leave first. Big sister will... hehe..."

"Tsk!" Xiu'er spat shyly, looking at Jiang Zhe with eyes full of love.

Mi Zhen felt a pang of sadness, gently rose, and walked towards the door with her head down.

"Why are there two Xiuer..." Jiang Zhe frowned, still pondering. When he saw one of them about to leave, he shouted, "Xiuer, don't go!" and grabbed the person's sleeve.

"Sister... Sister..." Mi Zhen was shocked and called out Xiu'er's name repeatedly.

Xiuer chuckled as she stood up, leaning gently against Jiang Zhe, and said, "Husband... I'm here..."

"Uh..." Jiang Zhe looked back at Xiu'er for a long time, then suddenly laughed, "Ha... It really is Xiu'er... And what about her..." He turned around, only to find that there was no one behind him.

It turned out that Mi Zhen had already left. Glancing into the inner room, for some reason, a sharp pain pierced her heart.

"My husband must have had too much to drink..." Xiu'er helped Jiang Zhe to the couch and brewed him a cup of tea.

After taking a few sips, Jiang Zhe shook his head, feeling a bit clearer-headed. He then smiled bitterly and said, "It was all because of those people..."

"Hehe..." Xiu'er laughed, closed the door, bolted it, and walked gracefully to Jiang Zhe.

"Husband... let's rest early..." Xiu'er blushed and dared not look Jiang Zhe in the eye.

"Pfft..." Jiang Zhe spat out a mouthful of tea onto the ground, and when he looked at Xiu'er again, his heartbeat suddenly became unstoppable.

"Rest...rest well...okay..."

Seeing Jiang Zhe's hands trembling as he unbuttoned his clothes, Xiu'er gently stepped forward, placed her hands on Jiang Zhe's shoulders, and said shyly, "Let me...serve my husband..."
