He Yuzhu stared at Zhao Fengnian across from him, a calculating glint flashing in his eyes.

He had long kept Wang Cuiping's matter in mind. That woman had suffered a lot of grievances in the courtyard house, and now that she was all alone outside, who knew how difficult her life must be.

Since we've run into Zhao Fengnian, we might as well get the information out of him. Once we get to Tianjin, he has the resources and connections to lend a hand, so it wouldn't be a big deal.

He Yuzhu leaned forward slightly, his voice extremely low: "Uncle Zhao, you're going to Tianjin to see my Aunt Wang, right?"

Zhao Fengnian's expression changed drastically, his eyes instantly turning wary. He glanced left and right instinctively before lowering his voice and scolding, "Don't talk nonsense! I'm not going to see her!"

If he hadn't been certain that He Yuzhu was just an ordinary young man in the courtyard, he would have suspected that his whereabouts had been monitored for a long time.

He Yuzhu feigned ignorance, tilting his head slightly: "Aren't you looking for Aunt Wang? Then what are you doing in Tianjin?"

"Children shouldn't pry into adults' affairs, and they shouldn't ask questions they shouldn't ask." Zhao Fengnian's tone was stiff, clearly indicating that he didn't want to talk about it further.

He Yuzhu pursed his lips, putting on an indifferent look, but his words still revolved around Wang Cuiping: "I won't ask then. But I need to know where my Aunt Wang lives. My mother specifically told me before she left that if I ran into her in Tianjin, I should take some time to visit her and ask her how she's doing."

Zhao Fengnian's eyes flickered, and his expression grew increasingly unnatural, clearly giving a perfunctory answer: "She's not available there, I'll have her contact you later. By the way, you just said you're going to Tianjin to learn cooking, which restaurant?"

He deliberately changed the subject, just wanting to get over this as soon as possible.

He Yuzhu raised the corners of his mouth and uttered three words crisply: "Huifanglou".

"Huifanglou? Isn't that a halal restaurant? Isn't your father, He Daqing, a Shandong cuisine chef? Why are you being sent to a halal restaurant?" Zhao Fengnian was taken aback, his face full of doubt.

He Yuzhu chuckled, a hint of smugness in his eyes: "My dad said that he can't teach me his skills anymore."

Zhao Fengnian's eyes widened, and he instantly understood the meaning behind the words. Startled, he lowered his voice and asked, "You mean... your father's senior brother?"

"It's exactly what you think." He Yuzhu nodded, looking completely at ease.

Zhao Fengnian immediately gave him a thumbs up, his face full of praise: "Good lad, you've been hiding your talent! Even your father looks at you differently now!"

Just as the two finished speaking, a flight attendant walked into the aisle.

The man walked hurriedly, his expression tense. As he passed their seats, he suddenly stumbled, as if he was about to fall. He reached out to steady himself against the back of the chair, and under the cover of this, he quickly made a very subtle hand gesture to Zhao Fengnian.

Zhao Fengnian's expression changed drastically, and his eyes instantly became as cold and serious as ice.

He suppressed his panic and whispered to He Yuzhu, "Zhuzi, I have a friend over there. I'll go check on him and come back in a bit."

"Okay, Uncle Zhao, you go ahead with your work." He Yuzhu replied calmly, though his eyes held a hidden undercurrent.

Zhao Fengnian grabbed his small suitcase, nodded slightly to He Yuzhu, and turned around to quickly squeeze towards the back of the bus through the crowded aisle.

He Yuzhu watched his figure disappear quickly into the crowd, raising an eyebrow slightly—it seems this old guy really has something important to do.

He had just finished thinking about it when several people suddenly rushed over from the direction of the car.

The leader was dressed in a dark blue Zhongshan suit with a pen pinned to his chest, looking like a cadre. However, his forehead was covered in cold sweat, and his eyes were sharp as an eagle as he frantically scanned the carriage.

Behind him followed a middle-aged man with a hideous scar at the corner of his eye. His hat brim was pulled down very low, covering most of his face. His sinister gaze swept across the crowd, pausing slightly when it landed on He Yuzhu, revealing a hint of surprise, before continuing his search.

"Where is he?" The man in the Zhongshan suit asked the scarred man in a low voice, his tone full of anxiety.

"They ran away! They went to the back of the car!" The scarred man's voice was cold and hard.

"What are you waiting for! Chase them!"

Excuse me! Please let me through!

Without saying a word, the scarred man rudely shoved aside the passenger blocking his way with his shoulder, his right hand always pressed against the bulging spot on his waist, which anyone with eyes could see was hiding a weapon.

Behind him were two young men dressed in school uniforms, but their expressions were tense, their eyes fierce, and their waists were slightly bulging, clearly indicating that they were also carrying guns.

The group charged recklessly, instantly silencing the previously noisy chatter and crying in the carriage, as if the air had been frozen.

The passengers turned pale and instinctively dodged to the sides, making way for each other. Everyone could sense the impending danger.

The scarred man rushed forward so fast that he left the man in the Zhongshan suit behind him in the blink of an eye.

Just as the group passed by, He Yuzhu suddenly stood up, shouting, "I need to pee! I need to go to the toilet!"

Before he finished speaking, he had already followed the group of people and squeezed towards the back of the car.

Passing by the restroom in one of the carriages, he peeked inside and saw it was already packed with people, making it impossible to get in. Without wasting time, He Yuzhu used the excuse of needing to use the restroom to continue squeezing into the next carriage, his eyes fixed on the people in front of him.

After squeezing through two overcrowded carriages, he finally saw in the distance that the scarred man had subdued a train attendant, was holding a gun to the attendant's lower back, and was forcing him to move further forward.

He Yuzhu's gaze sharpened.

He recognized the flight attendant's profile—it was the same one who had just informed Zhao Fengnian!

He immediately crouched down and, using the crowd as cover, quietly moved forward a few steps.

The aisle was narrow and crowded, and his movement immediately caught the attention of the man in the Zhongshan suit who was at the very back.

The other person suddenly turned their head to look.

In that instant, He Yuzhu flipped his wrist and threw a paper package straight at the other person's face!

The man in the Zhongshan suit instinctively reached for his gun, but it was too late; he could only raise his hand to grab it.

"puff--"

The paper package was torn open on the spot, and a pungent, spicy powder exploded out, flying everywhere.

"Ah—my eyes!"

The man in the Zhongshan suit let out a piercing scream, covered his eyes, and squatted on the ground, convulsing in pain.

The pungent powder spread throughout the cramped carriage, catching the surrounding passengers off guard. They coughed violently, their eyes watered, and they sneezed. The scene instantly descended into chaos, filled with cries and screams.

He Yuzhu was prepared.

A damp cloth was tightly covering his mouth and nose, and he was wearing motorcycle goggles to protect his eyes completely.

He found this thing in the trunk after riding his motorcycle back last time, along with his helmet. He was quite upset about being freezing for nothing before, but now it has come in very handy.

Taking advantage of the chaos, He Yuzhu squeezed to the side of the man in the Zhongshan suit in a few steps, deliberately tripped and pretended to fall. As his body sank, he delivered a vicious elbow strike to the man's chest.

"puff--"

The man in the Zhongshan suit coughed up a mouthful of blood on the spot, his body went limp and he collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

The other two henchmen in school uniforms, upon hearing the screams, hurriedly drew their pistols and desperately squeezed their way over to try and help.

But what greeted them were two more paper packets thrown at them!

Before the two could dodge, the paper package burst open, revealing not chili powder, but a large amount of mixed powder of pepper and Sichuan peppercorns, which flew into the air in fluffy bursts.

"Achoo—Achoo—"

The two men were instantly choked, tears and snot streaming down their faces. They coughed and sneezed violently, unable to even open their eyes, and could barely hold their guns.

Innocent passengers around them also suffered, with cries of pain and the sound of trampling rising and falling, turning the carriage into complete chaos.

He Yuzhu rushed forward like a ghost, his movements as fast as lightning.

"Snap! Snap!"

With two soft clicks, the two men's pistols were instantly knocked out, their arms were dislocated cleanly, and then they felt a sharp pain in the back of their heads, knocking them unconscious without even seeing what their attackers looked like.

The scarred man in front heard the screams behind him and cursed him inwardly as a piece of trash.

By this time, he finally understood that He Yuzhu was Zhao Fengnian's accomplice!

He only wanted his henchmen to stall for a moment, so he could just escort the conductor to the back of the train, grab the person, and then take care of him with a single shot—clean and efficient.

But to his utter surprise, his three henchmen were crippled in a single encounter!

Upon seeing this, the flight attendant he was holding suddenly and violently resisted, twisting her body and struggling.

The scarred man's expression hardened, and he raised his gun to intimidate.

"Snap—"

A small steel bullet suddenly flew through the air and hit him precisely on the back of his hand that was holding the gun!

"what!"

The scarred man winced in pain, and his pistol clattered to the ground.

The flight attendant seized the opportunity and slammed her knee into his groin.

"Well--"

The scarred man's face contorted in pain, his body convulsing, yet he remained undeterred, reaching for the gun with his other hand.

Without any hesitation, the flight attendant stomped hard on his injured hand, grinding it forcefully.

"Aww—"

Heart-wrenching screams echoed throughout the carriage.

Out of the corner of He Yuzhu's eye, he saw Zhao Fengnian suddenly appear out of nowhere, holding a broken mop handle in his hand, his eyes red, and he started smashing it against the back of the scarred man's head.

It's unclear how many times he was hit, but the scarred man collapsed to the ground, motionless and completely silent.

The flight attendant breathed a sigh of relief and solemnly bowed to Zhao Fengnian: "Thank you so much for your help, comrade! If it weren't for you, the consequences today would have been unimaginable!"

"Of course, these people are scoundrels who harm the local area!" Zhao Fengnian said in a deep voice, panting heavily.

The two immediately mobilized several brave passengers around them to find ropes and tightly tie up the unconscious man in the Zhongshan suit, the two students in school uniforms, and the half-dead scarred man, then locked them in the rest room at the back of the carriage.

In the chaos, He Yuzhu had already silently taken the three men's pistols and identification documents and put them directly into his spatial storage without leaving a trace.

After doing all this, He Yuzhu took advantage of the chaos in the crowd and quickly slipped into an empty restroom.

He locked the door, changed into a similar old outfit from inside the room, carefully washed his face with water, and repeatedly checked that there was no trace of chili powder or pepper powder on his body before squeezing back into his original carriage.

He glanced up at the luggage rack—his old suitcase was still sitting there safely.

Presumably, there wasn't anything valuable inside, so even thieves wouldn't bother touching it, which saved him a lot of trouble.

He Yuzhu calmly sat back down, as if he were not the one who had just fought and injured four people at the back of the carriage.

The train continued its clattering journey towards Tianjin.

As the train finally slowly pulled into Tianjin Railway Station, before the doors even opened, He Yuzhu looked out the window and his heart sank slightly.

On the platform, a neatly arranged group of police officers were already standing, along with several other men who looked sharp and were clearly in plainclothes. They were serious and ready for action.

As soon as the train came to a stop and the doors opened, the group of people rushed up and headed straight for the last carriage.

All passengers must undergo inspection and questioning upon disembarking.

He Yuzhu was prepared. He took out his pass and travel permit from his spatial storage, and also put a few silver dollars in his pocket. These days, going out without a penny would easily arouse suspicion.

Fortunately, when he was applying for the documents, He Daqing had someone change his age to sixteen. Otherwise, with his real age, it would have been difficult to explain why he went to Tianjin alone.

The police repeatedly checked his identification and carefully questioned him about his purpose for going to Tianjin, his address, and his contact person. They questioned him for nearly half an hour before finally letting him off the bus after registering all his information.

He Yuzhu walked out of the train station, secretly making plans in his mind.

It's impossible to say that this matter is without flaws.

Someone near his seat must have seen him talking to Zhao Fengnian earlier. But those people had no idea that the trouble was directed at Zhao Fengnian, so naturally they wouldn't connect him with the chaos that had just occurred in the carriage.

Moreover, Zhao Fengnian and the flight attendant who delivered the message had probably already gotten off the train and gone into hiding.

The four men he had subdued, along with their guns, had all vanished without a trace.

The police didn't take any of those people out of the car from beginning to end.

A terrifying train incident eventually became an unsolved mystery.

He Yuzhu let out a soft breath, leaving the noisy train station behind him, and looked up at the streets of Tianjin.
