Learning to Love Again

"See it for yourself." Without waiting for Chen Ming to respond, the girl abruptly shoves the tablet into Han Yuan's hands and scurries off.

She knows she could lose her job for disobeying Chen Ming but if that little boy is related to that devil-man in any way and she decides to go through with the releasing the picture, then her life would be over.

Taken aback by her sudden action, Han Yuan takes a moment to recover before he looks down at the tablet in his hand.

Su Lian steps out of her car and walks to the entrance of her son's school.She goes to Su Yichen's class, but he isn't there. "Xiao Chen..."

"Where's my son?" Su Lian directs a furious gaze towards his classroom teacher.

The teacher cowers in fear. "Ah- he said he had a belly ache so he's down at the office."

Su Lian's expression immediately turns worried. "Why didn't you call me? I would have picked him up earlier." With that, she leaves the class and hurries off to the direction of the main office.

The moment she walks in, she sees an elderly woman sitting at the receptionist desk looking extremely nervous. She can't sit still and keeps on fidgeting with a pen in her hand while staring at the door that leads to the principal's office.

Su Lian is left speechless at the scene. The woman shivering here while looking extremely restless is the principal. She met her when she registered Su Yichen as a student.

Why is she out here staring at her own office in fear? Just what on earth has gotten into her?

Su Lian clears her throat to draw her attention.

The principal hears the sound and looks up, but then immediately looks back down in guilt.

Seeing her reaction, Su Lian's expression turns anxious. "Where's my son?"

"He- he's inside." The principal replies while not daring to meet Su Lian's gaze.

"Why would he be in your office? Why isn't he in the nurse's office?"

The principal does not answer her question. She only shakes her head indicating that she does not know.

Su Lian gets irritated at her response and barges into the office.

She almost faints at the scene before her. She stands at the door, unsure of what to do next.

Han Yuan is sitting in the principal's chair with Su Yichen in his arms. The little boy is fast asleep and his little hands are in fists grabbing on tightly on the ends of his suit.

"You- you what are you doing with my son?" Su Lian manages asks. She's putting on a brave face, but her heart is filled with fear.

Looking up at her, Han Yuan's gaze is extremely cold. "Your son?"

Su Lian's heart drops.

Those eyes look so aggressive and she feels immense pressure. Han Yuan has never spoken to her like this. Even when they dated he was always cold and aloof, never this fierce.

The current him at this moment is so terrifying and it seems as if he'll rip her to shreds if she says another word.

Su Lian's body trembles. She's scared out of her wits, but she can't relent.

She bites her bottom lip and shows determination. "Han Yuan, give him to me now or I'll call the police."

"Police?" He scoffs. "Go ahead, so I can tell them how you kidnapped my son."
