Learning to Love Again

Shen Xun drives to the end of the road but doesn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

She doesn't leave though. 'Mr. Han must have a reason for coming here.' She'll just have to wait for him to come back.

Her eyes are focused on the street and all the cars that drive by. Her phone rings while she is in deep concentration.

She reluctantly answers the call after checking the caller ID.

HR: "Shen Xun, where are you. I saw it on the news, you've been caught."

Shen Xun: "So it's already on the news?"

HR: "Yes, almost all the headlines say a dangerous person is on the lose. It has your name, picture, and description. What did you do? How did this happen"

Shen Xun: "I didn't do anything. Those girls escaped."

HR: "What girls? Do you mean the two women you kidnapped? How- how did this happen? When did they escape?"

Shen Xun: "I don't know when. I was out for three days, it must have been during that time."

HR: "Out doing what?"

By now, Shen Xun already feels overly irritated with his questions. Why does he want to know so much about her? He's always calling to check up on her and she hates it.

Shen Xun: "What do you want? Why are you calling me?"

HR: "I just want to tell you that it isn't safe. I have a place that's secure in-"

Shen Xun: "I'm busy right now."

HR: "... busy? The police have a warrant for your arrest, what can you possibly be busy with?"

Shen Xun: "I'm about to find where Mr. Han has been hiding."

HR is silent and doesn't reply for some time.

Mr. Han, Mr. Han, it's always Mr. Han.

She's crazy obsessed over a man who doesn't even care for her. There is clearly something wrong with her head. He takes a deep breath before replying again.

HR: "How long will it be until you're done?"

Shen Xun: "I don't know, I'll call you-"

Shen Xun doesn't finish her sentence. She just stares wide-eyed up ahead.

HR: "Shen Xun, what were you saying?"

HR: "Hello, are you still there?"

Shen Xun drops her phone and runs out of her car to get a better look.

'It's really her, that vixen.'

Su Lian is wearing a simple white dress . She puts on a pair of sunglasses and goes inside her car.

Looking at her ethereal appearance, Shen Xun feels suffocated. She takes a deep breath and tries to calm down.

There's no need for alarm, it's probably all just a coincidence. There's no way Mr. Han has seen her yet.

"It's all fine. It's all fine." She repeats over and over to herself, but her words get stuck in her throat once her eyes land on the little boy who comes out of the villa after her.

That boy looks exactly like Mr. Han.

Is that..

I can't be.

That little boy is his son.

No.

Mr. Han can only have children with her and no one else.
