When Gu Jingshen heard those words, his face instantly turned pale then to shade of red.

The silent Uncle Jiang was stunned.

'How can be this two so shameless! They actually dared to claim our Master as their son's girl?!' Xuyin's straight face twitched a little as his mood sour.

"Mother! It's not what the two of you thinking!"

Gu Jingshen felt scared after hearing those words at the same time was embarrassed by his mother's and sister's act. 'Of all the things you could think why would it be something like that? You have no idea how scary is this young devil!'

"Young Miss Ren, please excuse my mother and sister for being bold to their words, they did not know what they were saying." Gu Jingshen immediately explain as he was afraid that she would be mad.

"Young Master Gu, it's alright." Shuang calmly answered neither awkward nor embarrassed.

"Eh? She's not your girlfriend yet? Big Brother, you're slow!" Gu Jiaolian blurted out loudly.

Gu Jingshen glared as he warned his bubbly sister before he turned to look at his mother.

"Mother, I think this is not the time we talk something nonsense like this..."

Xiao Liling and Gu Jiaolian immediately snapped and felt shamed as their already exhausted and haggard appearance became restless and worried.

Gu Jingshen was speechless after seeing their reaction. 'You two actually forgot about father's critical matter just because of me bringing a girl that you falsely assumed and claimed to be my girl...friend?'

Shuang and Xuyin were dumbfounded of the mother and daughter duo.

Gu Jingshen nodded and he lead the group to the Lord's chamber. Along the way, Shuang can't see any other souls inside. They arrived outside the door where four uniformed men were guarding the door. Shuang can also sense some other shadows in hiding around the area.

The four guards immediately paid respect when they saw the Gu people specially to the Young Master Gu and politely opened the door for them.

Gu Jingshen guided Ren Shuang to the inner chamber. The two ladies were puzzled as to why Gu Jingshen allowed the outsider to learned about the Lord's condition. Earlier, Xiao Liling wanted to react when she noticed that they were going to her husband's chamber but Gu Jingshen and Uncle Jiang stopped her. Hence, she stopped her rebuke as she knew that the two have their reasons to their actions and would not do something reckless.

"Young Master, you're back!" The man was surprised and delighted to see the Young Master.

Gu Jingshen nodded. Before he turned his head to Shuang.

"Young Master, did you have the flower?" The man asked not minding a certain outsider inside.

"Doctor Yun, we failed from our operation so we don't have the flower but we brought someone that could help."

"You don't have the flower but you brought someone could help? Who?" Doctor Yun furrowed his brows.

Shuang heed no mind to the Doctor as she walked over to the lying man in the bed. Then she tilted her head to Xiao Liling.

"Madam Gu, may I have your hands in here?"

Xiao Liling was startled a little when she heard the young girl's request. Though she didn't know why, she still abided.
