Chapter 27 – Time For Self-Introduction.

Beep… Beep…

Fuaa~h… Alright! Time to wake up.

Yesterday, I went to bed without playing any games or reading manga after our conversation.

That gives me plenty of time to prepare.

As expected, it’s common sense to get there early since it’s a rendezvous.

I went to the washroom to clean myself up… h~m…

Every morning when I look in the mirror, I’m painfully reminded that I’m not a very good-looking person.

I wish I could fit into the normal category, but I can’t do anything about that, so there’s no point worrying about it now.

Now, there’s still time to stop at a convenience store for some breakfast, so let’s get going.

I bought some rice balls at the convenience store where I was going to meet them, and checked the time on my smartphone.

There’s still about 15 minutes until the appointed time…

For the time being, I passed the time by playing with my smartphone and checking my surroundings, and about five minutes later, I saw my senpais.

They were earlier than I expected, but I’m glad I got here first.

“Good morning, Takanashi-san. Sorry to keep you waiting.”

“Good morning, Senpai. It’s no problem at all. I just arrived earlier than expected, so I’m not waiting at all.”

The girl next to Senpai also called out to me.

“Morning! Takanashi-kun.”

“Yes, good morning, Natsu… er…”

I was wondering what to call her…

If I call her “senpai”, then they won’t know which one I’m calling between the two of them… But calling her “Natsumi” sounds too familiar.

“Whoops, right, let me first introduce myself. I know Takanashi-kun to some extent, but he probably doesn’t know me.”

“I’m sorry, I only know that you’re a friend of Senpai.”

“Takanashi-san, I apologize for the delay in the introduction. This is my friend, Natsumi Yuzuki. I call her Natsumi.”

“I’ve met you a few times and we’ve talked a bit, but it’s nice to meet you again, I’m Natsumi Yuzuki. Nice to meet you Takanashi-kun.”

“Nice to meet you, I’m Takanashi Kazunari. Yuzuki-senpai… is that okay to call you that?”

I’ve been calling her “Senpai’s friend” in my head for some reason…

“Yeah~ that’ s fine. However, most of the people I know call me Natsumi, so when they call me Yuzuki, I feel uncomfortable as if I’m being called by someone I don’t know. The way you talk to me is also very formal, so you can be more familiar and just call me Natsumi, okay?”

She’s pretty easy to get along with, was what I thought when I talked to her before, but now that I’m talking to her properly, she seems even more friendly.

“Okay. Then, can I call you Natsumi-senpai? I’m sorry, we’ve met a few times before, but I didn’t even greet you properly.”

“It’s no problem. I heard about you from Sara before, so I already know you in a way.”

I then talked to her on the spur of the moment.

“I also felt like I missed the right timing. Also, the other day when I went to the rooftop you really saved us.”

“Aah, I was in a panic at that time, too. I had a bad premonition, so I rushed to grab Daichi.”

Daichi was the student council president who came then… So that’s the name of the student council president…?

“Is Daichi…  the student council president?”

“Yes, his name is Uesaka Daichi. Well, he’s a third year student, so even if you know he’s the student council president, you probably won’t remember his name.”

I see, so the student council president is called Uesaka Daichi. (TN: How many times must his name be mentioned lmao) (EN: A whole novel’s worth maybe, he might rarely appear in the future.)

However, you call him by his first name. Don’t tell me the two of them are… lovers?

“Ah, it’s no good, we’ll be late if we stand here talking. Let’s talk while walking.”

“Yes, I guess so. Then, Senpai, let’s g-… Senpai?”

Come to think of it, Senpai hasn’t spoken a word…

She’s smiling when I look at her… but it’s like… there’s an eerie  atmosphere… swirling behind her… it’s a little scary…

Apparently, Natsumi-senpai also noticed…

“I-it’s nothing… No problem whatsoever.”

No, it definitely wasn’t nothing.

What? What did I do to make her sulky?

It seems like every time I call out to her, she’s getting grumpier…
