Marlene felt very embarrassed at Li FuJin since it was her who gave him a one sided condition; to make a Nuòyán and do whatever she wants in return for her help to change his identity.

What Marlene failed to realized when she agreed to help Li FuJin due to Zhiyuan's request, is that her best friend was still with the Xiao Family.

Although they are currently together and already had a child, Xiao XiRan cannot deny the fact that they were not married; not even a fiancée.

It was more painful than what he feels while she continued to pull his ear without mercy. Xiao XiRan's body stiffened, he stopped his steps while Marlene still holds his ears.

Marlene also paused after Xiao XiRan stopped. She turned around to look at him who was just staring at her with a familiar meaning on his eyes.

A cold chill immediately runs though her spine. Trepidation began to cover Marlene's mind. Her face instantly turned pale while looking straight at Xiao XiRan's scarlet eyes.

Her heart began pumping fast while she stared at Xiao XiRan's scarlet eyes. Marlene cannot be mistaken; it was the same look she saw few years ago.

Marlene suddenly feels frightened after recalling the time when Xiao XiRan chained her on his room. While his jealousy towards Zhiyuan was the reason why he took her innocence prematurely.

How can she forget that Xiao XiRan was so crazy about her? He even mentioned last night that he did not plan courting Marlene because he was afraid that she would decline him.

With fear of what's running on Xiao XiRan's mind, Marlene let go of his ears. She immediately pulled her wrist from his hand and subconsciously stepped back.
