Loving You: A Blessing or a Curse?

Su Lian ran up and about her villa looking to see if she could find anything valuable. She needs a gift for her grandfather, but it's already too late to go out and buy one.

She sighed in relief once she found a set of antique calligraphy brushes. Without wondering how they wound up in her home in the first place, she put them in a pretty box and put a red bow on top.

"Perfect."

After securing the gift she went to change into a light coral maxi dress. She styled her hair into a simple bun with loose strands falling at the side of her face. She looked clean and elegant.

Holding, her gift in her hand, she walked out the door and got into the taxi waiting in front of her gate.

"Older cousin."

Before Su Lian could even step into the old house, a slim figure in a blue dress came running towards her.

It was Su Yanyu, her only female cousin.

The Su family is not very large.

Su Kong has three sons. Su Boqin, who is a police officer, Su Ling, a high school teacher, and Su Feng, a businessman.

Su Boqin has two sons, Su Jin and Su Chen who both joined the military.

Su Ling has a son, Su Duyi who is an architect and a daughter, Su Yanyu who is studying fashion design in university.

And Su Feng has Su Lian, Su Qiong and Su Mo Chou.

Before the arrival of Su Mo Chou, Su Yanyu and Su Lian were the only females in the younger generation so they were very close despite Su Lian being a year and a half older than Su Yanuyu.

Su Yanyu excitedly grasps Su Lian's hands "I heard you were back, but I didn't believe it because I had to see you with my own eyes. How have you been? What have been doing for the past four years? More importantly, where have you been? Did you prepare a present for me? Do you know that I'm going to graduate this year?"

Before Su Lian could answer any of the numerous questions, a fist lightly knocks Su Yanyu on her forehead. Looking up, she sees her older brother, Su Duyi.

"So annoying. You're probably the reason why she left."

"I am not." Su Yanyu pouts in grief while massaging her 'wound'.

Su Duyi turns his handsome face towards Su Lian and pats her head. "We're glad you're back."

"Thank you. I'm glad to be back." Su Lian smiles.

She really is sincerely happy to be here. To her, there is no greater gift than being around a warm family.

At the same time, Su Qiong gets off a taxi and walks in front of the trio.

"Baby cousin." Su Yanyu immediately runs to hug his tall form. She calls him baby cousin even though he is far from being a baby because he is the youngest person in the Su Family.

After they all finished exchanging greetings, Su Duyi gestures towards the building.

"We should go inside now. Everyone has arrived except uncle Feng and Mo Chou."

They nod and proceed to leave.

While walking Su Yanyu stops to tug on Su Qiong's shirt.

"Do you want to know something cool? I heard older cousin Su Jin's wife is pregnant. Very soon you will no longer be our youngest Su family member. This new baby will be the first in the fourth generation."

Su Lian and Su Qiong briefly glance at each other.

First in the fourth generation?

Su Yichen has already claimed that spot for himself.
