Loving You: A Blessing or a Curse?

Su Lian puts her son in a pair of denim jeans and an orange shirt.

"Baby, are you excited for your first concert? It might be a little loud."

Su Yichen nods his head. He's not sure where they're going, he's just happy to go out together with his mom.

Su Lian's phone beeps. It's a text from Han Lili. It's only 5:30 but she's already here so she asks her to come inside.

Han Lili clumsily parks in front of Su Lian's villa. She drove herself because she wanted to spend more alone time with her new best friend and 'godson'. Her driver is too nosy. He always monitors her like she's some child. She does not need any of that today.

Sitting in her car, she feels slightly nervous.

She told Su Lian that she would be here at six, but it's five-thirty. She was just too anxious and excited. Will they think she's a creep?

She turns off the car engine and picks up a wrapped box from the passenger seat.

It's her first time meeting Su Yichen and in order to make a good first impression, she bought him a nice present.

Holding her gift in her hand, she pressed the doorbell and was let inside by a maid.

Not too long after, Su Lian comes downstairs with a tiny figure following behind her.

"Sorry for making you wait."

"Oh, no worries. I came too early." Han Lili looks up smiling.

But her smile falters the moment her eyes land on the little boy following behind Su Lian. She stares at him in complete shock.

Su Lian notices her gaze and smiles. "This is my son, Su Yichen."

Han Lili does not respond, she isn't listening. Her eyes remain fixed on his face.

His nose, hair, ears...

Everything's identical.

What the f*ck is going on here?

Can someone just tell her why this little boy here looks exactly like the iceberg?

A miniature version of the iceberg.

If not for the boy's bright green eyes, she would have thought that he was her brother shrunk down to the size of a child.

"Lili, are you alright?"

"Yeah- um -yes. I'm fine. How- how old is your son?"

"He's three." Su Lian chuckles lightly. "He's a little tall for his age so people always think he's at least five."

Han Lili's face goes pale. Three years old.

Yuan had a girlfriend four years ago.

This boy looks exactly like Yuan.

It couldn't be that...

"I brought you a present, Yichen." Han Lili shakes her thoughts out of her head and hands the wrapped box over to Yichen.

After getting his mother's consent, Su Yichen accepts the gift and thanks her.

He does not understand why he keeps on getting so many presents. First, that man who hugged his mommy left lots of toys and now, this aunty brought him a present too.

Han Lili fidgets nervously while staring at the child's face. "Can I use the washroom before we leave?"

"Sure, it's over there." Su Lian points her to a guest washroom close to the main entrance.

Han Lili practically runs inside.

After making sure the door is locked, she brings out her cellphone.
