Loving You: A Blessing or a Curse?

"What do you mean she has a child?"Liu Yumei pretends to be surprised while Han Haoran pretends to be outraged. "We are constantly suggesting young and eligible women for you to court, and you reject all of them. Now you decide to take a fancy to someone who already has a child. Where did you find such a woman? Has she been married before?"

"No, she hasn't been married. We were together for two years, but we split up four years ago. The break up was a mistake... I shouldn't have let her go." Han Yuan has on a slightly remorseful expression, but Liu Yumei didn't pity him.

"So you want us to believe that you dated a girl for two whole years and during that time you hadn't introduced her to us or even mentioned her. Do you think that we're fools?"

"I did have a girlfriend, I'm not lying." He looks down at his plate, extremely guilty. " I didn't introduce her to anyone and I know I was wrong for that. But she's the person that I'm going to marry now and I will legally adopt her son if she lets me."

"I refuse. You are not going to bring a woman with a child into my home. I will certainly not allow that." Han Haoran slams his fist on the table and Liu Yumei nods her head in agreement.

"What about inheritance? Do you want to give the company to an outsider? Not only that, think about all the gossip and rumors that will spread around. The media won't stop talking about the heir to the Han Group inviting a bastard into his family. They will be all over it. How will we be able to hold our heads up in front of other families?"

"Her son isn't a bastard! And I don't care about the media or anyone else's opinion." Han Yuan growls furiously. "Nothing will change my mind about this. Not even your opinions. Su Lian will become my wife and as my parents, it's either you support me or you don't. I hope you do."

"We don't." Liu Yumei cuts him off. "If you marry her, then forget about becoming the CEO."

"Fine then, I won't be the heir. Give the company to Lili if you want. No matter what you say, I will marry Su Lian. This isn't up for discussion." Han Yuan says his final sentence and leaves the private room without waiting to hear their replies.

The moment his figure is out of sight, Han Lili who has been silent the entire time switches off the hidden camera she had been recording the conversation with.

"Did you get all of it?" Liu Yumei asks with a smirk.

"Yup, every single sentence."

"I wasn't expecting your brother to be so passionate. Do you think Su Lian will be moved?"

"It depends on how the idiot acts." Han Lili puts the camera away and smiles. "We need more footage though."
