Make my Mom Fall in Love with Dad

"Come on son, we better go home it is already getting too late." Damon stood up from the swing and he suddenly scooped the boy in his arms earning him a squeak.

"But you're going in the wrong direction dad." Seeing the confused look on his father's face, he told him where he lived. "I thought you lived at the nearby orphanage?" Damon was flabbergasted to know that his son is living with his mother. "Na-ah, I told you dad that I was living with mom and I even mentioned the reason why I came here to think, it is to find a father for me and a husband for mom, didn't you listened to my story?" Staring at Ichigo's sulking face, Damon recalled their conversation a while back and then it clicked to him that the boy really told him about him having a mother. As the information of Ichigo having a mom finally sink in his face became as white as a sheet of bond paper.

Ichigo who is staring intently at his new found father never missed every emotions that pass by his dad's face. The emotion went from shock, confusion and finally he saw a hint of regret before his dad's face became blank.

Ichigo's bright aura slowly dimmed, he didn't believe that the happiness his experiencing right now is only short lived.

With a gloomy face, Ichigo tried to break free from Damon's hold on him.

"Mister, I am sorry for the confusion it was never my intention to trick you into becoming my father. Don't worry I guess our pinky promise is now invalid. Thank you mister for listening to my troubles," Ichigo tried his best not to cry, he doesn't want another misunderstanding. "Mister you can put me down now, my mom will surely be worried if I'm not at home by the time she gets home from work"

Damon by this time was having an internal struggle. He is willing to adopt this kid to be his son but will he be able to accept Ichigo's mother to be his wife? He is still unwilling to loose his bachelorhood but loosing Ichigo as a son felt like loosing a part of his heart. The short amount of time he spend with this kid

made him realize the joy of becoming a father.

Rubbing the kid's back, Damon explained why he became hesitant for a moment, he then firmly declare that he will still be his father. "Ichigo, the time I spend with you was the most fulfilling experience.You made me realize the joy of being a father. I don't want to break our pinky promise but are you still willing to be my son?"

Not doubting his dad's words Ichigo nodded vigorously. After wiping his own tears, Ichigo asked Damon if he is also willing to take his mom as his wife.

Being extra careful at answering, Damon looked at his kid's eyes. "I know that you love your mom so much and I also love my mother. Just like you I will also think about what's good for her, but forcing your mom to marry me might cause problems in our marriage and I don't want that to happen."

"I understand dad, I also don't want to force mom to marry just because I want to have a father." Ichigo paused for a moment to think. "Why not we create opportunities for you and mom to meet and get to know each other, in that way you can experience mom's awesomeness and then fall in love with her." Pleased with his idea, he gave his dad a beaming and charming smile.

Listening to his son's idea, he thought it was not bad so he agreed. "Then when will I meet your awesome mother?"

Ichigo pats Damon's shoulder and answered, "Tonight of course, the sooner you meet mom the better."
