MC's career as foreign lord

Chapter 30 Favor of Elemental Creatures

"Alright, I understand that now." Zhou Ren nodded to show he understood. A simple communication tool was perfect for solving his problem of not being able to communicate with people.

He studied it for a bit and found a simple line of text in the corner of the cover: "Outlander — Western Lord."

"Could this be the name written for me?" Zhou Ren curiously touched it and found that it could be changed, so he changed it to: 【Lord - Zhou Ren】.

Then he saw another line of text on the cover, 【Pine Leaf Town — Locke】. It seemed this was the name of the town chief. How simple and crude!

"Oh, Elf Handbook?" Just as the scribe left, Zhou Ren was wondering whether to go back or continue to ask Anna something, and the two of them had already walked up to him.

Anna took out a similar notebook, "Let's connect! That way, I don't have to wait for you to give permission every day."

Zhou Ren was puzzled, "Connect?"

"Oh!" Anna took the Elf Handbook directly from his hand and touched it gently. Suddenly, a cute, Q-version silver dragon appeared on the cover, which had originally only had one line of text.

The silver dragon was below the town chief's name, and there was a small mark that read 【Antinoraya】. Hey! There's even a special version, huh?

"I had this custom-made in Silvermoon City!" Anna showed off, "Alright, I can contact you directly from now on. Your territory is like a turtle shell; it can't be broken!"

Zhou Ren smiled and shook his head. This wasn't an Elf Handbook at all; it was clearly a cell phone from another world! He just didn't know if it had any other functions.

He looked at the two female elves, "So, what are you going to do now...?"

Anna said without hesitation, "Of course, we're going to see the Elf Fruits! The fruits you're growing are too outrageous. If I hadn't dissuaded them, the entire Elven Empire would have come to kill you next second!"

"Oh! That exaggerated?" Zhou Ren said, "Then should I not grow them anymore?"

"That won't do. Your fruits have great effects and will definitely attract snatching. Otherwise, give me some, and I'll be your protector!" Anna said. If Zhou Ren agreed, she would risk asking the Platinum Dragon God to issue a divine decree to protect this great treasure.

Zhou Ren shook his head, "Can gods come to this world?"

"No!" Anna shook her head.

"If there are no gods, then it's fine. I don't think anyone can break through my defenses!" He had confidence in the territory system.

Anna was unconvinced, "The water here is too deep; you can't handle it!"

Zhou Ren suddenly became alert and looked at her strangely, "Odd changes, even doesn't change?"

"What?" Anna was stunned.

"Heavenly King covers Earthly Tiger?" Zhou Ren continued.

"What is that?" Anna continued to be puzzled.

"The earth suppresses the high ridge, a stream and mountain are eternally beautiful!"

"Speak human language?"

"Alright, never mind!" Zhou Ren wiped away some sweat. It seemed like a coincidence. "I think I can handle it, so I don't need you to worry!"

"We're here!" As they chatted and walked, they had already arrived. Shia curiously touched the transparent wall and watched Zhou Ren check off their names.

As soon as she entered, Shia felt the rich, seemingly unresolvable magical element aura. In a sudden shock, she even completed an on-the-spot costume change.

Originally, she was wearing a short mage robe, emphasizing convenience and efficiency.

Now, she suddenly changed into a robe covered with stars. Although it couldn't hide her curvy figure, it did look much more sacred!

"Is that necessary? You even put on the Starlight Moon Robe?" Anna said, watching Shia immerse herself in the magical aura.

The Starlight Moon Robe seemed to have immense power. As the magic turned, the world seemed to change slightly. It's just that the north wind couldn't blow here, or else it could have displayed a fluttering sound!

But as expected of an elven princess, she quickly adjusted. She looked at Zhou Ren and Anna somewhat awkwardly, "I didn't react for a moment. Shall we go?"

Zhou Ren nodded slightly. Fortunately, he hadn't given her other permissions. Such a big commotion was really a bit scary.

The three continued to walk forward. Anna had good eyesight and saw the pool that had returned to its original state, "Hey! Zhou Ren, did you clean up that abyssal magic fish?"

She had a deep impression of that fish. It was the first fish Zhou Ren had caught, and it was especially memorable. Although she heard Zhou Ren talk about the situation at the time, she couldn't help but laugh.

Zhou Ren shrugged. He certainly knew what Anna was laughing at, "It's dead, so I put it away!"

"Dead?" Shia made a loud noise, "How could it be dead? That's an abyssal magic fish! The elves have caught petrified and sealed abyssal magic fish, and they've caught dehydrated for thousands of years abyssal magic fish, but they've never found a dead one. Dead? How is that possible?"

This expression was exactly the same as Anna's when she heard the news. Zhou Ren walked to a box and pulled out the fish, "Yeah, here!"

The huge abyssal magic fish made a big vibration when it was thrown on the ground, but it didn't seem like many people cared. Their attention was on the fish itself.

It was indeed dead. Zhou Ren could be sure of that. Other than eggs, his bag couldn't hold any living things; nothing could.

But was it really useless if it was dead? Looking at the shining eyes of Anna and Shia, it didn't seem so. This fish should sell for a lot of money, right?

The next second, he went to the farmland, conveniently picked up the abyssal magic fish, and put it in his backpack, not giving them a chance to speak, "This is the area for planting Elf Fruits!"

Zhou Ren casually said, "I bought the seeds from Leah. How much do you think they're worth?"

Shia waved her hand, "What are those seeds worth? It's your ability to grow them. I was originally planning to give them away!"

She was surprisingly honest, which made Zhou Ren a little surprised. Wasn't she going to say something or use some conditions to increase her bargaining chips? She really was an honest elf.

"Are these the seedlings of the Elf Fruits?" The meter-high Elf Fruit seedlings looked very interesting, like small trees planted there, with a few branches sticking out to decorate the fruits.

The three of them looked around, but they didn't see anything special. Zhou Ren continued to ask, "Do you want to see the growth process?"

"Can you see the growth process too?" Shia was curious.

Zhou Ren nodded, "As long as you have the seeds, you can see it."

He was actually mainly asking for seeds, after all, Elf Fruits seemed to be very scarce. What if they didn't give him seeds in the future?

After all, the previous seeds were obtained from Leah. If the little girl had seeds, her teacher couldn't not have them, right?

Zhou Ren's request wasn't high. As a compulsive player, he just needed to fill this land.

Shia directly threw out a bag of seeds and handed it to Zhou Ren, "This is a bag of seeds. Try planting one first!"

"Alright!" Zhou Ren said, "If I'm planting, I'll go get something!"

As he spoke, he quickly left, intending to retrieve some bones to accelerate the ripening of the Elven Fruit and to test whether the fruit truly had the astonishing effects they described.

Preparing bone meal was simple: one bone could be turned into three portions of bone meal. This was the ultimate trick for ripening the Elven Fruit.

Zhou Ren had collected a good seven or eight sets of bones that night, which should last him for a while. He wouldn't use it normally, only in emergencies to accelerate ripening.

As he looked over from a distance, he noticed Anna and Shia seemingly working on a cube.

The most ⊥ new ⊥ small ⊥ said ⊥ is ⊥ at ⊥ six ⊥ 9 ⊥ ⊥ book ⊥ ⊥ bar ⊥ ⊥ first ⊥ hair!

Zhou Ren was taken aback, thinking that he hadn't given them permission to destroy items. Then he felt relieved; Shia didn't seem to know about this property and seemed to want to give it a try!

He stood nearby, watching the two manipulating the surrounding magical elements, and couldn't help but be curious about what this magic was all about.

They had mentioned more than once that the magical elements in his territory were extremely dense. Could practicing magic here provide a special power that accelerated cultivation?

As Zhou Ren thought this, Shia raised her staff, causing the wind in the entire area to suddenly accelerate!

Then, a lightning bolt appeared in the wind, transforming into a lightning creature that seemed about to attack the cube!

Then, it got stuck in this field, unable to even move, let alone attack!

This situation made the two elves feel very surprised, even astonished. They surrounded the lightning creature, reaching out to touch it, but could only feel a layer of hardened air.

A hint of innocence appeared on the lightning creature's cute face. Its body was composed of lightning, yet it couldn't even move. It was truly remarkable.

Shia had to continue raising her staff, summoning a lightning bolt as thick as a bucket from the void, striking a stone, but nothing happened.

Zhou Ren watched their efforts. It seemed they were still unwilling to give up. Since he hadn't given them permission to destroy the cube, they simply couldn't destroy it.

However, he couldn't just watch them mess around indefinitely. Zhou Ren felt the time was right and strode over, "Miss Anna, Your Highness Shia, what's that sound?"

Seeing Zhou Ren's confusion, and incidentally staring wide-eyed at the lightning creature, Anna couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed, unsure of what to say.

Shia, being a political creature, seemed to have a thicker skin and quickly came before Zhou Ren. "I wanted to test the hardness here. It seems to be even harder than I imagined!"

"Then what's with this big guy?" Zhou Ren nodded, indicating he understood. "Is this the elemental creature you mentioned before?"

Anna nodded, "You could say that! It's an elemental creature from the eight minor elemental planes. You can call it a lightning elemental or a lightning giant, either is fine."

Zhou Ren nodded, "Should we send it away? It's not good for it to be stuck here!"

Shia hesitated, seemingly a little embarrassed. "Could you please release its restraints? I can't send it away!"

This was truly embarrassing for her. After all, as the royal daughter of the Silvermoon Elves, after eating that fruit, she could even reach the Legendary rank as soon as possible in these years.

This hadn't happened to the Elven race for many years. Most of the queens or elders only had the chance to become Legendary during the ceremonies of inheriting their positions!

Yet she was stumped by this, and it was something she had caused herself. She couldn't help but feel her face flush.

Zhou Ren nodded, took out the Book of Authority, and gave the lightning elemental a hook!

It immediately felt that the thing around it, like solidified air, was gone. The environment was much friendlier to it, and it jumped around in the air!

Zhou Ren found it amusing to watch it jumping around, reached out and touched its head, just like a pet, and then tossed out another apple, which it directly digested in the air.

Shia sighed, "It's time to go!" With a wave of her staff, a portal filled with lightning was summoned.

Upon seeing this, the lightning elemental quickly spat out a very small lightning mark and carefully handed it to Zhou Ren.

"Huh? Why is it giving me this?" Zhou Ren subconsciously raised his hand and saw the lightning elemental creature disappear into the air with a "pop."

It even made a face midway through disappearing, with an eager expression.

Anna said with a hint of jealousy, "Hey! I don't know what's so good about you, why are so many people flocking to you?"

Shia explained, "This is an elemental mark, which means you have gained its recognition and can summon it for free in the future!"

"Free?" Zhou Ren inferred, "So, you guys summon it for a fee?"

"All magic requires a price, even if it's not alchemy," Shia said. "Summoning always requires the summoner to give something, otherwise..."

"Otherwise, those being summoned will come and take it themselves!" Anna added, "But there are very, very few exceptions, like the thing in your hand."

"What does this represent?" Zhou Ren asked, puzzled, raising the lightning mark in his hand, looking at it from left to right.

This was a blue lightning mark symbol, and other than being a little brighter, it didn't seem to have any other function.

Anna sighed, "Should I say you're lucky? Or should I say it has good eyes?"

"With this mark, you have a very good chance of taking that lightning elemental creature as your own. It represents its high recognition of you. It's just hard on Shia! The elemental creature she worked so hard to collect has become yours!"

Shia didn't seem to care at all. "I have many of these things, it doesn't matter."

Zhou Ren nodded, "Besides that, is there any other use for it?"

Anna was exasperated, "What do you mean, 'besides that'? How many mages try their best to get a mark, and you say 'besides that'?"

Unexpectedly, the elven princess nodded in agreement, "The elemental affinity here is extremely high. Maybe it just wants to come here to play often?"

"emmmmm" Zhou Ren thought for a moment. It was like having a pet in his territory, which didn't seem bad. "What else?"

"You will be consistently friendly to all elemental creatures, which represents the recognition of neutral elemental creatures!" Anna finally said, scratching her head helplessly. "Oh, why am I telling you all this? Let's get down to business!"
