Milady's Fine Gentleman

"It's going to be Aunty Mo's birthday next month. She's having a small party in the house. It's just a small family affair, together with some close friends." Chen Linyun told Xue Jinxu one evening while he was removing his necktie. Xue Jinxu lifted her head from the book she was reading. She took a bite from the apple she had in her other hand. She was lying on her stomach on their bed.

Chen Linyun joined her. He also lied on his stomach then sucked Xue Jinxu's supple lips. "Mhmm.. Juicy." He said teasingly.

Xue Jinxu coughed hard. *Cough* *Cough* *Cough*

Chen Linyun tapped her back with a little force. Then he did the Heimlich maneuver [1]. "Hey, Snow White, don't choke!" It was supposed to be a good-natured comment, but Chen Linyun's face was twisted with fear and concern.

When she had recovered, Chen Linyun cradled her in his arms. He stroked her hair, full of worry.

Xue Jinxu spanked him hard. "Don't do that again, Chen Linyun!"

"I won't… I won't… I'm sorry…"

"Next time, I'll make sure first that you're not eating anything!"

"Chen Linyun!" He was smiling naughtily. He could lower his guard now. He had heaved a sigh of relief.

"As I remember correctly, you specifically instructed me to be 'not too nice'… Have you forgotten?" In fact, she did remember. It was during their wedding night. Her face blushed instantly, knowingly. She covered her face with both hands. She was embarrassed. Chen Linyun enclosed his arms around the bashful lady.

"Where were we? Ahh… As I was saying… It's Aunty Mo's birthday next month…" He trailed off not knowing how to continue.

"Yes, she called me about it~ We're going right?"

"Can you take care of the gift?" Chen Linyun asked.

"Okay. I'll go shopping for it tomorrow."

"Linyun…"

She seemed to be hesitating. She was fidgeting in his arms. Xue Jinxu was drawing circles on Chen Linyun's arm.

"Is your childhood sweetheart coming too?" She whispered.

Chen Linyun's back froze.

'Oh no, not this topic again!'

"She's not my childhood sweetheart, my dear." He kissed her head. He was playing with her locks around his fingers. "I guess so. She's close to the elders."

"Are you still uncomfortable around her? We can beg off."

They were talking about Hwang Meilin, the lady whom Chen Linyun had no recollection of, but apparently was part of his childhood – in fact, it appeared that she had played a significant part in his childhood. Or she thought she had.

"No, we should be there!" Xue Jinxu insisted.

"Will you be alright? If we go there, you're not allowed to get mad at me, okay? I'm telling you as early as now." He raised both his hands in surrender.

"I'm scared of my wife when she's angry." Chen Linyun scratched his head awkwardly while staring at the ceiling.

"Pffftttt… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" The lady erupted in laughter. "Aww, Chen Linyun, you are so cute!!" She rubbed his head the same way as if she's stroking a cute furry pet.

"Hmph, you have no idea how scary you can get." He pouted.

"Awww…" She hugged his head close to her bosom. "Then…" She put her mouth just beside his ear and whispered, "I'm sorry, love…" She gnawed the edge of his ear. Chen Linyun gulped.

"Why are you so…. inviting?" Chen Linyun turned around, then sucked her lips again. "You're not allowed to choke again, dear." He was referring to the earlier incident. He returned and concentrated on sucking her supple cherry lips, drinking from it, quenching his thirst.

"Hey Chen Linyun, is Mo Wenbin going too? After all, Aunty Mo is his mother right?"

"Of course." Chen Linyun returned to her lips. She was trying to pull away, because her lips were becoming swollen already. "Hey Chen Linyun! Can you behave?" She scolded him.

"I'm afraid, I can't milady." This time Xue Jinxu gulped.

She cupped her hand around Chen Linyun's ear. "We can't dear… I'm on my period." She whispered.

Oh, what a let down! Chen Linyun released her and sighed loudly. He lied on his back. "Okay."

She crossed her arms above his chest, then rested her head on her arms, looking at his face lovingly. They locked gazes the way they used to. She smiled. "Love you." She caressed his face then this time, she kissed him ever so slowly. He wrapped his arms around her waist. "Love you too." He retorted. "But dear, you're not helping me here."

She laughed. "You're so cute." She said while rubbing her nose on his cheek, teasing him more.

He pinched the culprit of a nose she got. "Chen Linyun!"

He sighed. Sometimes, the lady was simply a handful.

He kissed the tip of her nose. "Does it hurt? Your nose needs to be punished."

She ignored him. Turning serious again, she asked, "Do you have any idea for a gift?"

"Can't think of anything. Aunty Mo will appreciate anything we give her, dear. Don't fuss too much about it." He left the bedroom, and took a shower. Afterwards, he busied himself in the kitchen.

"Chen Linyun! What are you doing? You need my help?"

"I'm fine, just stay there."

After a while, Chen Linyun returned. He was holding a glass of warm milk. "Drink this before you sleep."

"Okay." She clung to his arm, and rubbed her head on it. He sighed. "You're hopeless." He kissed her forehead. "Drink it while it's hot. It's good for your tummy."

Her fluffy little ladyheart was spoiled! She tilted her head towards Chen Linyun, asking for a kiss. He dived onto her lips and gave it a smack. "Be good now, Jinxu." He said while stroking her head as if she's a kid.
