The Birthday Fairytale [4]

“No, no, no. I am just joking.” Moya didn’t want to leave this impression on the Fencing + Glacier Prince. Moya looked out the bedroom’s window and she saw the flowerless garden. “Why don’t you grow flowers in the garden? That way it would look more lively.”

Jin Ming Xian looked at Moya’s back. Her back was as straight as her favorite bamboos…

“This garden was taken care of by my mother in the past.” Jin Ming Xian’s voice was very soft…

“This ah.” Moya closed her eyes and imagined the scene where an elegant noble lady took care of the garden. “It’s pretty nice ah! Aunt* is definitely a beautiful woman!” She turned around and shot Jin Ming Xian a huge grin. That grin was bright.

“……” Jin Ming Xian stared at Moya’s eyes. “Then she left. She left me and the flowers. The flowers all died.”

Moya’s body harshly trembled! “There….must be a reason….” Last time at the lake, the image of Jin Ming Xian’s lonely expression contained with faint hatred had floated in her mind again…

“There is a reason.” Jin Ming Xian stared at the smiling doll on the desk. “Because of the birthday fairytale…”

“Birthday fairytale?” Moya loved to hear fairytale stories! She likes stories like how the Princess had happily lived with the Prince in the end! Those were the ones she loved the most!

“Legend has it…if you don’t look after the most important thing on your birthday under the day was lit, that thing would disappear…” Jin Ming Xian’s expression became gloomy… “That night I went to sleep…after that…they had all disappeared…” Jin Ming Xian robotically said this. It couldn’t be heard whether there was changes in his emotions.

“After that…” But Moya’s voice shook. She had never thought that such a cold Jin Ming Xian would’ve…”Then you were diagnosed with insomnia?!” She looked at Jin Ming Xian’s partially empty eyes…That glacier like indifference was caused by all these sleepless nights?

Jin Ming Xian peered at the smiling doll…Her face seemed to be similar to Moya’s…He didn’t know why he had told all of these to the…crazy….girl…

Shi Lin sat on the sofa…

“This ah! No wonder Jun You, you came back so early.” She observed the decorated house with ribbons and dolls. “Very detailed decorations. Moya is blessed.”

Hao Jun You looked at the clock in the guest room. It’s already seven and Moya isn’t back…

“Did Xiao Ya say how long she was going to stay at You Mei’s for prep?” Not knowing why Hao Jun You’s heart felt a little worried.

“Why, you can’t wait?!” Shi Lin glared at Hao Jun You. She laughed loudly. However, her smile was a little bitter….”I will call her for you to see.”

“Okay.” Hao Jun You picked up the decorations and went to decorate other rooms.

Shi Lin pressed down a bunch of numbers…

: You Mei? Let Moya pick up the phone.

: Shi Lin? Moya isn’t here. She’s not at my place.

: This ah?! How can it be! She told me she came to your house for prep!

: Yeah?! Then what should I do? Jun You’s still waiting to celebrate her birthday!
