“Youyou, this is for you. My apologies, I didn’t manage to meet you at the airport on the day of your return,” Yi Beichen explained himself before presenting the bouquet of red roses to her cordially.

“They’re lovely. Thank you,” Ning Youyou happily accepted the bouquet and sniffed the faint perfume of the roses.

After a brief exchange, Yi Qianya pulled Ning Youyou to the table to get seated.

“Brother, let’s eat. We’re famished, especially Youyou.” Yi Qianya said as she playfully winked at Ning Youyou.

As instructed, Yi Beichen politely asked the waiter for their food to be served.

A table full of delicacies was soon presented before their eyes. Yi Beichen started off by picking some fish. He showed every consideration in picking out the bones before putting the fish on Ning Youyou’s plate.

“Youyou, this restaurant is famous for its fish. You used to eat a lot of fish back then, didn’t you?”

Ning Youyou was impressed by his courteousness. “Thank you, Beichen.”

Yi Beichen could not keep his eyes away from Ning Youyou throughout the whole session. As for Yi Qianya, she was more than helpful in being a wingman for her brother.

Ning Youyou had been away for four years, so there were still many things that she was not informed about.

“Youyou, you should know that my brother has founded his own company, so now, he’s not just handsome, but rich as well. He is truly an eligible bachelor in S City.”

“Qianya, stop with the nonsense and finish up your food,” Yi Beichen urged.

Amused, Yi Qianya moved closer to Ning Youyou and began whispering.

Moments later, Ning Youyou shared the same level of amusement. 

“Please consider my presence before you start belittling me. I’m still here,” Yi Beichen flagged himself to draw their attention.

“I’m not going to tell you what I just told Ningning. Only that you’ve been looking at her photos from school ever since she went abroad.”

A moment of silence followed as a wave of color flushed in both Ning Youyou and Lu Beichen’s cheeks. 

“Qianya, eat.”

“Ha ha ha!”

Yi Qianya was always glad to make her brother agitated.

They left the restaurant together, and Ning Youyou and Yi Qianya waited patiently at the hotel’s entrance while Yi Beichen fetched the car.

As soon as he left, Yi Qianya began targeting Ning Youyou. “Youyou, what do you think of my brother?”

Ning Youyou seemed stupefied. “Beichen is very nice, the kind of man who makes people feel safe and comfortable.”

“He’ll be so happy to hear that.” Yi Qianya was transported with joy. Then, she added, “Youyou, since it’s still early, why don’t we go and visit my brother’s company? I’m sure you haven’t been there. The place is impressive!”
