Chapter 49: The Boss’ Frustration

It was already midnight when he arrived in Mu Se.

As soon as Qin Shaoang parked his car, one of his staff ran to him hastily and told him about the arrival of an honored guest, who was now drinking alone in a private room.

“Sir, Mr. Mu came very suddenly.”

“I know. You may go back to work now,” Qin Shaoang did not wait for his staff to answer. He tossed him his car keys before walking into the club.

Qin Shaoang went straight to the private room and saw Tang An at the door.

“Mr. Qin!” Tang An greeted with his head bowed.

Qin Shaoang walked into the room, and just as expected, saw the man on the couch, alone.

Casually, Mu Shaoqing sat with his legs crossed on the glass table. The man looked rather seductive under the dim light as he swirled the wine glass in his hand. There was a fathomless look on his face, so there was no way to tell how his mood was.

“Mu, why didn’t you let me know that you’re coming?” Qin Shaoang took a seat with him.

Mu Shaoqing remained indifferent to his presence and continued to indulge in his wine.

Qin Shaoqing finally had a clear view of his face that was bitter with displeasure. Instead of bombarding him with questions, he leaned against the couch and exploded with loud laughter.

“What a surprise! The boss of Zhou Feng Corporation is sitting here, looking so frustrated and unsatisfied! This would be the biggest gossip of the century!”

Mu Shaoqing’s face darkened even more at his impudence.

“You seem like you have a lot of time. Maybe I should change my mind about appointing you as the person in charge in France.”

Within seconds, the man stopped laughing. He sat upright with a solemn expression as he said, “Mu, just two hours ago, my men told me that you reserved a room in the Empire Hotel. What’s even more surprising is that you had a woman with you!”

Mu Shaoqing did not answer.

“What? It’s only been a while, and here you are, drinking alone. I’m not trying to assume anything, but you do look like you have a problem.” Qin Shaoang gave an indifferent shrug.

“It’s beyond my belief that you can’t even handle a woman!”

Mu Shaoqing had had enough. He put down the wine glass on the table rather harshly and got on his feet without saying anything.

“Mu, are you going to leave now?”

Mu Shaoqing ignored him and walked out of the room right away.

“What an unbelievable day! I finally got to see another side of Mu Shaoqing that’s rarely known. Is she meant to be the biggest challenge in your life?”

Mu Shaoqing did not answer him. Only he knew exactly how he felt about her.

Tang An went straight to get the car as soon as Mu Shaoqing stepped out from the room. Steadily, he drove towards the direction of Mu’s mansion.

In the city, the night had reigned. Mu Shaoqing still looked displeased as he stared out of the window quietly. Tang An was too scared to say anything, so he remained quiet. Their car was the only vehicle driving in the dim light of night.

“Tang An.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Gather all the general managers for a meeting tomorrow morning.”

Tang An was caught off guard. “But, sir, tomorrow is the start of the weekend.”

“Weekend?” Mu Shaoqing’s expression was grim. “Since it’s a weekend, I’d like to see if anyone’s going to be late.”

Dumbfounded, Tang An answered with a nod.
