CHAPTER 12

I made my way to school feeling buoyant for the first time, a bounce evident on each of my steps. I didn't know what made me this happy, but I think this is what they say as the 'After sex glow'. Hahaha what am I thinking?

I reached home last night around 10:30PM. Ethan accompanied me home, saying that I might get kidnapped. The movie we planned never happened. We made our own movie, bad movie. Movie never for kids.

I arrived at the school and was welcomed by the children.

"Miss Cass, Miss Cass! ", Gary said while running towards me.

"Hey buddy, slow down. What is it? "

"Miss Ria came by. She says she can't teach us anymore because she's having a baby! We have a new playmate! Yeeeey! " They were all jumping then. So that's why she's gone. But why didn't she even contact me? I'm gonna scold that woman.

"But, but she says there'll be someone replacing her. I hope she will give us treats and lots and lots of play time. " This, coming from Irene is a little ironic because she spends all her time napping.

"Well, I'm sure you'll like her. " Why are wo so sure the teacher's a she? Maybe we just felt it will be.

We went inside our classroom. Since we still have an hour before starting class, I told them to play inside. I don't want them to get all so sweaty when the class hasn't started yet.

I spent that time browsing my phone, and reading some web novel when a knock came at the door.

"Ooooohhh. Maybe that's our new teacher."

"Okay kids. Sit down. I'm going to meet our visitor. Behave." I looked at them sternly. They scrambled to get to their seats. I internally laughed.

I opened the door slightly, then quickly went out. And I found myself face to face with a huge, fragrant chest. I stepped back, then slowly raised my head up.

I was blinded, literally. The sun's rays are peeking from his head so all I see is his tall silhouette. Maybe he saw my discomfort, he moved a little to his left to block the rays.

"Hi. " I heard a deep baritone voice. I blinked. I looked up again and saw him smiling. I was momentarily mesmerized. "Hey," he said again. I snapped out of it and gathered my self-confidence.

"Hey. Sorry about that. Uhm, do you need something? "

"No, I think you need me." He said chuckling.

"I need you? " saying it with each word stressed and my brows furrowed. What is this guy talking? Is he a teacher because that's all I need-. And realization dawned on me. "Oh! You're the teacher they sent here? "

"Exactly. I'm Ash Clifford. " He extends his right hand toward me.

I took his hand. "I'm Cassidy. Cassidy Johnson. "

And then the world brightened.
