My Female Prince

Yue leaned over and whispered into Xiao Jun's ear before passing her a hairpin, making Xiao Jun smile.

The other women glanced over curiously and then noticed a black fur coat being draped around her shoulders.

Oh my heavens! That's the young General Huo's coat!

Madam Huo smiled at her son's affectionate actions towards Xiao Jun and her heart felt happier, her son was to be married and he had found himself someone good and proper.

Zhi Ruo pouted in the corner next to her mother and was reprimanded quietly by her, "Keep your composure! Do you want to be laughed at?"

Zhi Ruo glared at her mother but went back to her innocent looking face.

"Princess, come, we have some new flowers near the small pond over there. Let us go stand and admire from the bridge. They were bought by Long'er for today." Madam Huo smiled, she affectionately held Xiao Jun's hand and they walked ahead of the group of women.

Yue followed quietly and Mei'er stood next to Yue, "I don't like that daughter of the Hua's, I can sense that she's about to do something to Xiao Jun." she whispered, Yue smiled and said, "Princess isn't a simple person."

Standing with her back towards the railing, Xiao Jun admired the flowers on the other side and smiled as she could see Zhi Ruo approaching quietly. An eleven year old fighting for a man who was much older then her.

Zhi Ruo acted like she had tripped and then landed onto Xiao Jun. Xiao Jun took a bracelet off quietly and quickly slipped it onto Zhi Ruo's wrist along with slipping the hairpin Yun Long had given her into Zhi Ruo's sleeve. "Miss Zhi Ruo, are you okay?" she asked, acting worried. Zhi Ruo got up and smiled before holding her hand and stumbling forward, making Xiao Jun tumble back and fall off the bridge.

Zhi Ruo let go of her hand as soon as Xiao Jun fell over and she screamed out as if she was concerned. "Help! Help the Princess!"

A black figure came out of nowhere and jumped off the bridge, catching Xiao Jun and landing on the ground elegantly.

"Are you alright?" he asked, Xiao Jun looked up at the man and nodded, "Put me down.." she blushed.

Yun Long put her down and adjusted the cape.

Rushing over, Madam Huo sighed in relief and looked Xiao Jun over, "Aiya! Princess! This one apologizes for what just happened."

Xiao Jun smiled lightly and then shook her head, "I'm alright.." she looked straight up at Zhi Ruo and Yun Long looked up as well, a cold glare in his eyes, making Zhi Ruo frown.

Mei'er ran over and held Xiao Jun's hand, "Eh- where's the hairpin that General Huo gave you? Wasn't it just in your hair?"

Raising a hand up to feel for the pin in her hair, she realized it had gone missing. Frowning, she sighed and then said, "It's alright."

Yue heard this and frowned, though it was just a simple hairpin, it was something that Yun Long has given her miss and she went up the bridge to look for it, only to find it laying next to Zhi Ruo's feet. Glaring at her, she picked up the pin and then hurriedly ran down to Xiao Jun.

"I found the hairpin but it's slightly damaged, it was near that Hua miss's feet." Yue complained.

Yun Long took the hairpin from Yue's hands and examined it, putting it into his sleeve, he said to Xiao Jun, "It's alright, just a small hairpin. Whatever you want in the future, I'll give it to you."

"You two! Save your lovey acts for later." Madam Huo scolded, a smile on her face.
