The next day we went to work only to find that she hadn't clocked in, I am really hoping that she is just running late, I thought.

But the hours flew by and I got hardly any work done sitting there worrying, the day was over before I knew it. Carol and I clocked off work and headed out, "ok so maybe we can worry a bit, let's go to her apartment and see if she's there. She might just have had a bad hangover." Carol said

"Fine, but I'm really getting worried. I think she would have called in to work if she was just home, but let's go."

We got into our cars and headed to Shelly's place, when we arrived at her apartment we rang the bell and waited, but nothing.

"Great now what" I said as I slammed my back to the wall.

"It's broken." Carol said

"What's broken?" I said as I turned and looked at her. I noticed the door knob in her hand "god Carol did you just break her door."

"No I only went to turn it to see if it was unlocked and it came right off" carol explained

"Well guess we should go in and call some one to fix it." I replied

We opened the door and carol headed part of the way in and then stopped. "Oh my god." Carol whispered in a low tone.

"What" I slipped passed carol to get in and saw that her apartment was trashed.

"Oh my god, you think she was robbed." I said as I made my way through the apartment.

"No i don't think so, her tv is here it's just broken."

"Well her iPad and laptop are gone, but her jewelry is still here and they were right on the dresser." I replied

"So then what were they looking for?"

"I don't know." I replied

" AAAAHHH!!" I heard carol yell I quickly ran to her and found her in the bathroom on the floor.

" what's wrong?" I said

"Look" Carol said as she pointed to the bathtub.

I saw Kelly's cat lying there is a puddle of dried blood, the bathtub was splattered with it blood. It looked as if some one just kept on stabbing holes into the poor thing.

"Carol"

"Ya?"

"Now can we worry?"

"Ya, now we can."
