I could already hear people whispering around the playground. Everyone was gathering us to watch the game. The tournament between campus's two prince Rex & Jake.

I never saw Jake playing basketball before. He is always busy in club activities or in the library helping us out. On the other side Rex is the star player of our campus. He is known for his rough playing tactics and swiftness.

As soon as the ball was thrown into the air. The first guy who caught it was Rex as I expected. He moved so fast that is was almost impossible for the eyes to see his swift moves & a mind blowing clear shot. The ball touched the ground as the same time Rex set his feet on the playground, destroying Jake's defense totally.

The way he plays is like how a puppet master plays with his puppet. It's breathtaking.

"Oh shit I'm drooling over Jake! Did you see how he was looking?" A girl in front of me said that to her friend which made me realize I was watching Rex with my mouth open.

Rex took a quick glance at me with his eyes full of the taste of victory. I looked down as our eyes met each others which made him a little disappointed because I could see the frustrating feeling in his face when I looked up again.

In the next part as soon as the ball was thrown in the air again Rex caught it at first again. But suddenly it was taken by Jake's sudden move. The way Jake played was totally different than Rex. He was dancing with the ball. His every move was graceful. He was looking cute and hot at the same time. Rex couldn't even take the ball away from him. Jake was dodging his every attack with ease. It was making Rex angry it was seen in his face.

In a split minute, when Jake jumped to make the shot Rex suddenly blocked him with force which made Jake fall on his elbows.

I heard the crowd screaming in excitement as I ran to Jake because he just made the shot. I helped him to get up quickly. Rex didn't even come to help him. He was standing in a distance looking blank and his hands were in a fist. I don't know why he acted so rough against Jake. Even if Rex is Ben he doesn't have anything against Jake. He's totally innocent. He has no right to act like this with him.

Few other students came to help Jake & few were gathered around Rex, praising his performance. I pulled Jake out of the crowd of girls and forced him to go to infirmary.

I didn't see the nurse there for some reason so I took out the first aid box myself. I took some antiseptic and cotton balls and cleaned his wounds.

"Owww"

"Oh no! Does it hurt?" I became anxious thinking if it was swelling.

"Yeah it hurts," he said pointing to his heart and smiling a naughty smile.

"Jake seriously! You are flirting in a time like this!"

"You worry too much silly girl. I'm totally fine," Jake said patting my head.

"I'm scared Jake," Tears started falling down my cheeks without my permission. The person I treasured the most in life. I can never forget Ben. But what he's doing now is just making me hate him more. But is Rex is really Ben. I don't know what to think anymore.

"Bella!" Jake's eyes were sad seeing me cry like this. I don't know why I can't just control my feelings in front of him. He has always been there whenever ever I needed him.

"You gotta be strong right?" He wanted to wipe my tears but I didn't want him to move his hands. He was already hurt. I wiped my eyes on my jacket's arm.

"Haha, you are such a kid Bells!" Jake laughed "But I love the fact you are worried for me. It's makes me satisfied."

I don't why I felt I saw a different look on Jake's eyes for a split second or it was just my illusion.

"I'm not a kid OK!" You are the one who takes any challenge without even thinking and get hurt like this," I pouted.

"I'll try not to make you worry from next time, I promise," Jake smiled again.

"OK all done," I finishedwrapping the rest of the bandages on Jake's hand.

"Oh damn I forgot I had to join the library's welfare meeting today. I'm gonna be late. I gotta go.

Jake stood up to go to the library giving me a liltle pinch on my cheek.

"Thanks"

"Don't thank me. Next time I won't be doing it for you. Ask your fan girls," I said with a playful smile.

He smiled him bright smile at me before leaving. I wonder how he does it. Smiling like that always!
