The following day Saito met with Yamato who got the permission of the Hokage to teach him.

Yamato: "Now I will show you the hand seals but remember that for now you can only create two clones maximum. This jutsu uses a huge chunk of chakra to create a clone who can use jutsus and every technique the user knows."

Yamato demonstrated the jutsu and in a cloud of smoke a clone appeared. He was an exact copy.

Saito memorized the hand seals.

After completing the hand seals Saito managed to create a clone. But he was surprised because he lost almost half of his chakra reserve.

Saito had a plan in mind, in order to increase his chakra reserve one needs to train both body and spirit. Body training is as simple as it gets but for spirit training one can do meditation, train jutsus and chakra control. Meditation is very useful in the beginning but the bigger the chakra reserve the less effective it is. So Saito will train his body to the limits while the clone he created will learn jutsus and train in them. Saito created another clone but the burden was big, he was left with a small amount of chakra and he knew that if he tried to create a third clone he will most likely collapse. After taking some pills he started recuperating while each clone started training. The second clone was assigned to chakra control training.

As soon as Saito had enough chakra he put on weights and started his own training.

Before coming to the training grounds to meet with Yamato he went to the hospital to visit Lee, to his surprise he met Naruto and Shikamaru there, after talking for a bit and giving Lee a fruit basket Saito was heading out when he met Gai. He then asked Gai about something that has been bothering him since yesterday's battle. He wanted to learn the physical requirements for learning the Inner gates, he was intrigued by the power he saw. He only learned about it from the library's records but only a small amount of ninja's used it. Saito didn't want to learn it at first because he knew that Yamato wouldn't teach him such a dangerous technique. But after seeing its power he knew that he should try learning it and if he somehow manages to use it with his chakra mode activated he should be able to demonstrate even more power than Lee.

Gai answered him directly. He told him that for the current Saito using more than one gate will kill him. Gai then told Saito about the training Lee did for his body to be able to unleash his current power.

Saito remembered Gai's words, each person had a road to follow and for him he could only push himself to the limit. What followed where three days of Spartan training his Chakra reserve was getting closer to a Jonin, coupled with his own chakra control which was slowly rising closer to advanced level, to his surprise it became harder to increase the level of his chakra control the more he raised the level .

Today also three Saitos where training, one body was doing pushups, another was using jutsus while standing on the river, the last was using chakra to control colored sand and sort it according to color. Today marks the end of his training he managed to raise his body to a Jonin's level wish was his current limit. The jutsu he learned from Yamato was more destructive. And lastly he finally managed to sort the sand using his chakra. He was amazed at the speed of his current training but he could still remember the mental fatigue he felt after releasing his clones for the first time, he directly lost consciousness. After returning home and taking a warm bath, he fell in his bed and opened the stats screen.

Saito had gained 4000 R. points when he interfered with Orochimaru, plus another increase in fame. And yesterday his actions gave him another 500 R. points. Meaning his interference changed the fate of Lee. Saito was happy to save Lee because he didn't won't to see a hardworking guy like him suffer.
