The only way we've ever communicated

Were from the inboxes

Of emails scrapped for deletion

And encrypted binary code

With a machine needed

To say simple words

Their first words

Had promised

That my life would change

Once I gave a silent nod

To scream a revolution

Through the voices

But they don't speak words

Like you and I

They steal identities

The faces of others

As their masks

They could be anyone

Hiding behind a screen

But they don't need their voices

That's what the public is for

Their ideas imprinted under software

Brilliance gleaming in ones

And the phantoms of the fallen

The ones in need of vengeance

Swirling in zeros
