Omegaverse: The Alpha X’s Prey

"Aaaaannnndddd… that's it for today!" Gabrielle laughed at her oldest. Every time when he thinks there's more, he makes a funny sour face.

"Hah!" Easton let himself naturally fall onto the soft royal blue mats-faded and worn with age and use. Fighting with an experienced alpha sure makes you tired. Mixed martial arts, kick boxing… and even knife throwing.

He's pretty sure if their basement had a shooting range his mother would teach him how to handle a gun.

Thank the universe there's only the training room.

"I'll go get some refreshments for the birthday boy." Gabrielle smiled as she walked out of the room briskly.

"Thanks Mom…" As Easton closed his eyes and relished the relaxation somehow he had an inkling he was missing something.

Something important…

Instantly Easton's eyes snapped wide open. All tiredness vanished. He ran past his mother, even shoving her out of the way to get to the door before her. Surprising the both of them.

"Shower!" Easton's only explanation as he slammed the door to his room shut. He pressed a small red buŧŧon on the side. This was to lock the finger scanner, so nobody can come in.

Gabrielle had it installed after another nightmare. It was about the night she rescued her son from the Lab and from… Donovan. She was worried that Donovan might turn on everyone and use their severed fingers to open the lock. Unfortunately her paranoias only grew with time.

Gabrielle felt her heart drop when she heard the distinct click. This was the first time her son locked her out. He had never used this buŧŧon before. Aside from the times when both the Mrs. Oaks thought he was in danger.

Inside, Easton slid to the floor in relief. The cool gray concrete floor calmed his over heated body. His eyes were locked on the place where he hid the box filled hair.

Could it be a prank from Alfie?

…But the boy had grown out of this misbehavior after he was admitted into first grade. After Alfie found out he is a dominant alpha.

Besides, the only hair Alfie is infatuated with is Donovan's. When Donovan was in his rebellious teenage years he decided to grow his hair out long. Alfie was only eight years old when Easton caught him in Donovan's private bathroom, plucking hairs out of Donovan's hairbrush.

It was disgustingly creepy. How could Alfie have feelings for their brother? And at such a young age.

The point is, Alfie is too busy obsessing over Donovan to pull any tricks on Easton.

Easton shakily got up and took a shower, letting his thoughts leave him as the water rolled down his muscled body.

Chiseled jawline, sculpted arms, muscled thɨġhs. Donovan had once remarked that Easton reminded him of the statue David. Only a few sizes smaller.

Easton couldn't agree with his older brother even more. He is proud to have this strong body of his… except when his heats come. Those muscles seem to forget their purpose and he is nothing but an omega.

Soft, defenseless, vulnerable.

Many a time Easton looked at Donovan with a condescendingly look. How could the only redhead in the family proudly show off his omega side? He is easily allowed to walk out the door every single day.

And he doesn't train like Easton, nor does he wear omega-mask perfume. He is telling the world he is vulnerable and that is alright.

Easton could only shake his head at the memory of Donovan. Many times he tried convincing him to hide as well. It is boring but safe, especially for male omegas.

Donovan would just ruffle a young Easton's head affectionately before laughing it off. Then he'd walk out the door, leaving an envious Easton peeking through the windows.

When Easton came out of the bathroom, he paused.

Right on top of his neatly made bed was an envelope.

That wasn't there before…

Easton slowly approached his bed with caution before swiftly picking it up. It had the same seductive aroma as the locks of hair under his mattress.

It wasn't the first time Easton felt afraid of impending danger, imminent doom. But it was the first time Easton felt afraid to be inside his room.

His room that he specifically locked to keep Gabrielle out.
