Chapter 30 - 30: Training Camp.

A few days later after grandpa Zephyr came to paid us a visit, he suddenly took me in as a student without really caring if I was okay or not, and of course I wouldn't complain, after all grandpa Zephyr was always so kind to me and would often give me a lot of gifts everytime we would meet.
And even more so, how could I refused someone who could train me and who always tell me that he would gladly train me into the "best marine ever" with a big smile on his face as he said.
I had finally found the one who would train me at least.
Grandpa was too busy working 'just like everyone else by the way' and I didn't want to burdened him even more than that. He already had to look after a living calamity like so...
Also no one had any time for a kid like me so I had previously thought that I could just train by myself, however I clearly surestimate myself as I understood that learning from a book was truly too difficult without anyone to give me an example.
Although I had some small accomplishments in them, I have the feeling that it shouldn't be how it should be. Some things seems to be missing from the way I praticed them, I don't know what it is, maybe this "special touch" and rythm, you know just like how you play an instrument there is always a rythm and such...,and anyway I can't seem to find it, after all I can't find the rythm or the 'touch' in a book right ? I'm not a genius to this level, without stating that my poor book is not really the most complete of books that I have.
All I can say is that it feel really unpleasant to pratice something uncomplete. I would like better to fight with normal kicks and normal punchs normaly rather than fighting with an uncomplete set of move.
But good for me grandpa Zephyr, my savior appeared and told me that it was precisely his job to train future navy's soldier, so that couldn't have been more right on time for me.
He even told me that there was still a place in Marineford that I had never visited before, a place where every soldier had to go for at least three years independently of their statue in the Marine.
Every well known Marines came from there.
That place was... the Navy/Marine military training camp !
Competitions, training and improvement were what was seeked there and although not everyone could possibly be successful when they did, one could be sure that those persons would become leading figures in today's Era.
Grandpa Z told me with a lot of pride that he personally created this training camp about a dozen of years ago when he officialy became an instructor.
And as for why I've never seen that place was simply because I just couldn't go there.
it was situated almost at the opposite location of our place, somewhere far, far away and was mostly restrained from outsiders and ordinary marine soldiers.
Grandpa Zephyr told me that this training camp was more like a school that would teach boys and girls of varying ages the "Way of a Navy's soldier" as well as every useful knowledges in order to later on have everything necessary to pass the test to then officialy become a proper soldier, officer, and why not admiral.
These kids could come from anywhere, from poor people to high class people ( even though the latter wasn't likely to happen). As long as they had the talent, the motivation, and the heart to become a marine soldier that would fight for justice, they could take this chance and go for it.
I was a little bored to stay at home all alone doing nothing but training, eating, reading and sleeping, so how could I miss the chance to get out when the opportunity offered itself before me right ?
With this in mind I was really looking forward to the next week.
However that was only the next week, so to kill the time, I decided to go walk around the town because there was indeed a town. It maybe didn't seem so from the exterior but Marineford was really a big place.
It actually contain a town that was bigger than Fuschia, where every Marine soldier's family could live in.
I would sometimes go there to pass time as the town would from time to time organize some activities for its villagers.
And of course activities means by extension foods so how could I possibly miss this chance right ?!
With this in mind I hurriedly run to the town.
