The one punch man initiative was something that the system has come up with, a long time ago, it was an initiative aimed to drastically increase jiyuu's strength. The idea was to copy the style of Saitama ( one punch man ) and to free the limits on ones body. But according to the god's analysis it was not so simple. One had to let go of all thoughts and focus on a single thing without any deviation and remain in that state until one adapt to that state, and throughout this one should not waver from that single thought not even for micro of microsecond, in reality no other thought should come, since time is just a concept when it comes to the mind .

Saitama could do it because he was some kind of natural born sage, he would have become the wealthiest person on the planet or galaxy, if instead of focusing on being strong, he focused on being wealthy and rich. But jiyuu was no such natural born sage or genius, but he did receive some perks from the god, which were close enough to put him on the same level as a genius maybe even more.

These two perks the opm system and the ancient god's bone marrow, enabled him to achieve something similar to what some one like saitama could achieve naturally. But this initiative couldn't be started earlier because, only after meeting certain conditions could it be initiated.

The Ancient god's bone marrow was something really special, it had the power to evolve and if the path of evolution was not guided it would evolve the person into the true nature of the Ancient god from whom it was taken and in jiyuu's case a true Ancient demon probably.

So there were two methods to utilize the bone marrow, the first being letting it evolve on it's on and the second being a guided evolution.

In order to achieve the guided evolution one must have a firm resolution or will, and manifest an aura out of it, which will influence the Ancient gods blood and marrow. A murderer with a resolution to murder will emit a murderous aura similarly with death aura and other auras. The aura would manifest automatically if the will was true and steady.

Making the Ancient god blood and marrow adapt to a certain will and evolve it towards it was very difficult to achieve, as the will that evolve the aura of the ancient god must be strong enough and the new aura should also be similar to that of the ancient gods.

jiyuu was to have a strong resolution to become strong and manifest an aura one day, but even the system didn't know when this would happen, so the one punch man initiative was put on infinite hold, until jiyuu in his dilemma saw the scene of saitama and was influenced by it to emit a similar aura.

In truth the scene that jiyuu saw was his imagination and the aura was also something that he imagined, some one as powerful as the One punch man would emit. This was also his answer to the dilemma and the path he would take.

Jiyuu could only maintain his concentration for 4 minute, after that his thoughts started deviating. He forcefully tried to concentrate again.... the cycle continued until it was day .
