And then, she threw up. Because she didn't eat a thing in those days she was in a coma, it was only a stenching bile. Nora ended up in a shocked state, prostrated on the floor. Her eyes never leaving the dead zombie. She muttered to herself again and again " I have to adapt."

She stayed in that situation for hours.

It could have lasted longer if the bodies didn't start their putrefaction. The rotting smell seemed to grow stronger, and she wrinkled her nose unhappily, making her come back to herself.

'He... wasn't human anymore. He died before I even opened my eyes. It was him or me. No choice. I need to do something. I can't stay like this.'

She was in the middle of standing up when her stomach started rumbling. She realized she was hungry for a while. Maybe since she woke up, but the strange events kept her from noticing. Hungry. They were in a hospital room without windows with only bodies inside, and at least forty zombies in the corridor. She'd be dead before she even take half a step outside, let's not talk about finding food. But now that she wasn't feeded through intravenous injections anymore, she needed to eat solid. And fast, or she'll die of starvation.

An idea emerged in her mind. It was disgusting, but at least, she could hold on for a bit.

She stood up and got near the bodies. She roamed through their clothes to find if they had a snack on them.

'Maybe before they died, they were a little hungry ?'

But their pockets were empty. Her stomach growled again, producing a stronger sound and a slight pain with it. She was really hungry. Sighing with disappointment, her eyes looked towards the silhouette of the dead zombie. He was wearing the same hospital outfit as her, so he shouldn't have anything on him.

But she was hungry.

When her stomach reacted again, she doubled over in pain. Her throat began to burn. She reached her bed with great difficulty and lay down. 'My Great Auntie can't be here, right ? How long did I slept, exactly ? Plus it never hurted that much.' The pain became all of a sudden unbearable, and she passed out.

Nora woke up abruptly too. Her mouth was filled with delicious meat and she was eating happily, she even let groans of pure bliss.

'It's so good ! Where did I find myself such good food ? Is there someone who gave it to me while I was unconscious ?'
